It is weird that Prince Elliot has great penmanship, yet chooses to print somewhat crudely, ranter than write in cursive. His little touch of artwork is cute.

The last panel - whatever Adrian is feeling made is eyeballs enlarge and puffed out his cheeks. I have never in my life seen anyone have this sort of reaction - Oh, Noes! The Fairy God Mother is transforming Adrian into . . . some other kind of being. 

Well, at least Prince Elliot knows how to plan ahead an inform those who need to know what is going on so they won't worry . . .

I suspect that younger P. Elliot got a polite dressing down for disappearing, like young children will do, from Raven and wanted to avoid a major thing at the ball.

So the big Midnight Transformation deadline driving this version of the story will feature Prince Elliot attempting to avoid notice when returning to normal. 

Will the transformed Prince be wearing fur shoes, glass slippers or klompen?

But seriously, it looks like he was about to do a spit-take (note cup in his other hand) but forced his mouth to remain shut.

Given the DS linked two other near-spit takes in the comments, it's pretty clear that's what is going on.
