In the last comic, in the last panel, Tedd was concerned about something off-screen. In today's comic, Tedd is still concerned about something off-screen, but not enough to take the easy out offered by Elliot. Also, something weird happened to the balcony (again, off-screen).

Hmm.  That might explain why his mind went straight to “fairy godmother interfering.”  He knows that there is one “working” in the area.
