Amazing how having a good time can become the worst thing possible.  

Can we appreciate the wisdom of the hermit who, by a life of quiet contemplation in isolation, never sees anything become better or worse.

Yeah, but I go weeks without seeing a human at a time.  My only in-person contact is my drugstore delivery guy and the check-out clerk at the store where I buy my milk.
