One of the big problems with secrets is that the biggest secret is that there are secrets. 

Tedd, there too many ways this could go wrong. Eventually you will need to stop anticipating every thing that could happen from what you might do and deal with the results of what you actually do.

Of course, there being magic isn't a secret now.  Just how easy it is to get it.  Hell, Tedd's lab is being advertised as a place to get answers to weird things happening to you.
