The stooge is right. 

If Voltaire thinks what he does is legal, immortal vengeance can't affect him. 

The idea that what he may do is wrong needs to be in his consciousness early to make it a deterrent.

Oh, yeah, I agree. However, I wonder how the stooges found out about the new immortal laws.  I mean their version just can't tell lies.
