Well, it's recently been suggested, and wisely so, that I should maybe show off more of my "other" artworks here in the forum. And why not start now?

Here's a vaguely Cheer! related piece... based on the dialogue of this page. I felt that "space penguins armed with kittens", while funny in my head, really needed something more... And so, here it is!

Bestworst pun ever.

Great to have you back in here Tsel, well, in a distinct capacity at least. And what A way to start. I kind of panned over it to see what you had written but did a doubletake mid scroll. Epic picture, particularly because of the pencil rendering!

I'm looking forward to seeing what you cook up in the meantime.

You somehow managed to combine Space Marines with a flightless birds. And there's kittens.

Clearly, you have created a force to be reckoned with. A mighteous foe against which little can be done. Only the Swiss Bear Guard might have been able to stop him, though with their leader missing, he might enact their most assured overthrow regardless.

Might I entice him to usurp VKMspouge's control over his penguin army? He may do humanity praiseworthy service yet.

Seriously, I love it.

I'm sure this counts as cruelty to animals somehow... but what better way to deliver your explosives than strapped to the back of live kittens?

Glad you like it! And this is a good example of why I've come to like pencil so much... you can get something that looks pretty decent in relatively short amounts of time!

I spent a while trying to figure out how it was holding the kittens: flippers.

That's a pretty intimidating picture sirrah. Good job.

Flippers... wings... whatever you want to call them, that's what I had in mind, you are correct sir! And it may not be clear (as I didn't really capture any sense of motion in this picture), but the bird's left wing is extended towards the camera, having just thrown the focal kitten... a kitten which will likely latch on to your face, covering it in painful scratches until a moment later when it explodes.

I guess I should draw some happy kitten playing in order to balance this picture out...

Vorpal kittens? Now that's a scary thought... Though I don't think that's the case here. If those kittens were vorpal, they wouldn't need explosives.

HA! That is super delightful! I love the disgruntled look on the non-thrown kitty's face. Nice values, and excellent pencil work! If I were to make any suggestion for change at all, it would have been to use a bigger piece of paper, and have the tossed "kitty bomb" up and away from the body of the space penguin, so you could see all of the gorgeous armor. But it works super fine as is! I've never had a problem with your JET based art, but it is great fun to see all the other cool stuff you've done!

Thanks so much for the sharing! I look forward to more!

And the introduction of vorpal kitties into the fray is just begging for an apocalypse. Some forces were not meant to be tampered with.

There is an unfortunate truth when talking about paper size... I simply can't find a scanner big enough! It's quite disgrumplifying, but the biggest scanner that's available for less than the anual salary of an oil tycoon is only legal size. But really, I don't mind smaller paper. After all, it gives me a great excuse not to draw feet! ^_^

I need practice with feet. Oh, and footwear. Shoes are hard.

Still, it's interesting that you should mention the unthrown kitten... because that's the one part of this picture I didn't like. Well, that and the fact I got rather sloppy with the 3D by the time I got to the legs. Anyway, I was trying to draw the kitten more realistical like, but I redrew its face at least a dozen times and each one was like that... a cartoon character cat rather than a real cat. I guess it's a throwback to the ancient days of yore when I spent a lot of time drawing Warner Bros style animal characters...

But I'm glad you like it, to all y'all who do! And for those who don't... I have a kitten for you. ^_^

O_o but normal kittens seem to cut through everything... even my leg which took the impact of a car with only a bruise the size of my thumb....

But then again I'm one of the few (maybe the only but I doubt it) thats deathly alleric to benedril (causes me to blackout and hallucinate while causing something called Insephilitis [not sure if I spelled that right])

but I did indeed love said picture :)
