Possibly. Her music career probably wasn't involving any advanced acting.

Note that she was obviously playing along in the previous strips as well. Especially here.

Note: I would totally say both "scan" and "paste" are beams, but I understand the logic why the hand gestures don't work on them. Although paste without influencing clothes MIGHT work ... wait. Actually, already "copy" does change clothes and "paste" doesn't.
