Mister Chalk really is unnerving. On one hand, he made it obvious that Sandra should be wary of him ("I'm not your friend"). He says outright that he may be more dangerous than Incubus, and that he may escape along with Sandra. The last update is nothing but brutal honestly from his part.On the other hand, one thing is certain: he doesn't want Sandra to die. He is actively trying to get her out of here. Maybe because his destiny is intimately tied to her, maybe if she dies, he dies (well, is he trapped inside of her? Is he a parasite, the "real" Zebra demon? Is he a part of her psyche? Is he Satan himself? It's impossible to know at this point). He's also concerned by Mabel well-being (which I find very odd: is it true benevolence, or is he pursuing an alternate goal here?).Truly a mistery. And a good one, at that.

Or maybe it's all just manipulation on his part?  'Admitting' that he may be worse doesn't actually tell Sandra anything more than she already knew and suspected, he merely voiced what she was already suspecting (note he said MAY BE worse, he doesn't come out and say it, just as Sandra isn't certain that he is), admitting that you may be a threat ironically often makes people trust you more since they think "Well, at least he tells it how it is" when you actually have not told them anything.  The other parts all seem geared at actually confusing the matter, make Sandra think of other things.  Misdirection in short, there is nothing honest about what he has said, he has merely given voice to what Sandra was already thinking.  Then again, maybe he's just an aspect of her own mind echoing back her own thoughts?

Some of the things said in this comic worries me. A passing voice that is now able to 'get out'? Basically something that has been hiding in her all this time waiting for a chance to escape? And the phrase, "I am not the bad guy TODAY"? Why do I get a very Corinthian vibe from him now?

Sandra's mom suddenly turns into a giant mouth while hugging her from behind and eats her! Om nom nom! Calling it now! :P

It is interesting how this is all once again tapping into the whole "if there is love, there must be a sexual aspect to that love" philosphy. I blame the popular media for that concept, personally.

Isn't it interesting how I only see that argument brought up when a relationship is homosexual? =P

Must be the people you hang around with. I've seen it, and made it myself, in regards to all kinds of relationships in media, not just the homosexual ones. Popular media resort to it to try to cheaply create emotional attachment (not saying that is what is happening here, I'm talking generalities here) in an adolescent mannner, which games are especially bad at resorting to, though now I'm digressing. We live in what some would call an oversexed culture due to living in a capitalist culture where 'sex sells', and so it is naturally for some to become jaded by it over time.

Getting it in there while I can: bet that Sam is really Incubus and when he says leave he's actually trying to trick her into leaving his pocket dimension, seems too easy otherwise.

Wouldn't it be the memory of the TV show Sandra and Crystal watched while growing up? Remember, there was a earth-version of the show too, Sam's universe was kinda based on the cartoons from Sandra's world.
