Topics I've Started

RIP

11 October 2012 - 12:02 AM

For those who may not have heard, Aisaku, artist of Discordia, died on October 7th. I had been informed that he had suffered a seizure which contributed to his passing.

One of the people he worked with was Ben Carver of the webcomic Point guardian.

Aisaku was a hispanic artist in his early 30's. He was a great
collaborator and the best friend one could ask for. He worked with me
on Hero Academy for the friday updates when I couldn't find another
artist. He also worked on his own comic, Discordia, which he intended
on revisiting, but sadly we will never know the conclusion of this
series. He was always willing to help and always was modest on his
own abilities. I will miss him and the community is lesser now that
he is gone.

I had just been talking to him not that long ago. He had a new job and was beginning to stretch his art skills. I pray for him and his family.

IMPORTANT NEWS -- MUST READ

17 August 2012 - 10:45 AM

This Saturday -- August 18, 2012 -- I will be shutting down the 910CMX Community forums.

But this is a good thing. It means that we will be moving to our new servers.

Yes, I said "servers" -- as in plural.

I want to thank Softlayer for the excellent service they've given us for the past number of years, but we've just out grown what we could afford with them.

So, thanks to some generous donations in both money and equipment, 910 has now grown to incorporate different servers of various power. Some of the most popular webcomics you read will be having an major increase in power, so it should be much easier for you.

I will be closing down the forums here and reopening them on the new servers (with a clean install, which should solve some of the problems we've been having -- I hope). You'll be able to reach them when your DNS migrates.

But we're not out of the woods yet. We could still use additional equipment, so if you are able to donate, please do.

Thanks!

The 910CMX staff.

What a week...

20 June 2012 - 10:41 AM

I'm sure you all have noticed some problems over the past week.

Unfortunately, it's been growing pains. We've outgrown our server and it's shown.

We're going to be moving to a colocation where I can bring my personal servers online.

I thank you all for your patience.

There is also something big on the horizon. Stay tuned...
