People change the world with their actions everyday, some more than others. One such person will change the world in a way that everything we know about it will be called into question. The only way to save the world was to remove this person from it, even if it meant sending hundreds into the unknown.

The Changers

I figured that since the story is underway now even further, I'd change this first post up a bit. First of all, at least for the forseeable future, the story will be updated on a Friday schedule. Eventually I may have to change that to once every two weeks, but we're going to try for once a week for now. Second, I'd love to hear more discussions and comments about the story, both here and on The Changers main page. I know that Wordpress makes me authorize comments for first time posters, but it's still a nice boost to see them there.

Once again, this story is based upon the people and events that occur in the IRC channel that The Wotch was born from. Most of the people that appear in it approved my use of their character.

Well, that certainly deserved its rating. Though I must say, you have piqued my interest, and I await to see where it goes. Though I do hope its not all darkness and pain. Its makes a great intro, but occasionally you need a bit of happy to lighten it all up.

Very irritating story, although it's good written. If you mean the "Mature Readers Warning" serious, it should also be in the signature where you also link to the story, and maybe at the beginning of the story as well.

The warning was for the Prologue only though. Future chapters shouldn't deal with situations quite of the same nature. I mean, there may be violence and a little gore, but nothing quite as graphic as the prologue had. Honestly, I would have forgone the warning completely if I was posting about this anywhere else.

I could have said "very dark" describing the content itself. What I found irritating was how the crime in the beginning was used as a justification for the revenge, leaving the changed character for the main story to come.

(Are we allowed to talk about the content itself in here? Everyone else seemed to stay away from it. I know that there's Spoilerspace, but everyone knows how to make that visible again, and nobody in this thread used it so far)

It especially irritates me since I'm trying to remove most of the nightmare parts from the world of my own project, and somehow it still remains too objectionable. (There is also the opposite criticism that there's not enough action, but that can be cured. Just not by adding blood and gore, since the rules of that world say blood and gore is the root of the nightmare)

Of course, she is a Succubus, so a certain amount of evil tendencies are to be expected.

I'd say you can talk about it here. The link to the story is in the first post so I think it's fine to talk about it. If you don't want to talk about it here though, you can always leave comments on my blog site instead. I guess the only problem with that is that unregistered users I have to approve their messages the first time that they post something.

I'm up for any kind of healthy debate. Though I will say that what happens at the beginning is more of a justification for what she becomes than her actions. I would go as far as to say that Anibelle isn't even seeking revenge at that point.

I have to say, it doesn't really make sense to turn into a succubus because of rape. A succubus basically is a rapist. (One which tends to leave its male victims dead, but still...)

A good story, but strangely enough, one time in Y!M chat Gagh and I had the opportunity to speak with Anibelle about her succubus side. What stuck out from the conversation was her saying that she preferred food that took effort to catch, meaning no going to a bar and getting some sap drunk then chowing down.

Anyways, just that one thing I remember kind of broke the immersion for me through the story, because I couldn't see Anibelle feeding on prey that's not even a challenge.

It is also her "first meal". The Anibelle we all know and love has had plenty of time to hone her tastes and her craft, the one in the story is newly born as a demon and is possibly just testing out her new body.
