Appearance: Speed dresses in a tight fitting costume in order to reduce air resistance. He has several costumes in three different colors. His favorite is a black and red version, but he also wears a mostly red costume on occasion. He rarely wears his yellow one, but will wear it when the mood strikes him. The tight fitting costume reveals a muscular and skinny build of a world class sprinter, and his hazel eyes can be seen through his mask. On the rare occasion his mask comes off, his messy brown hair can be clearly seen.

Equipment: Tokenisa- Adamantium Dai-katana aka big dual handed katana double bladed, this houses a moderate expanse of magic and a convertor module which can switch the magic to the type that the user needs, the sword can be encased in said magic type and depending on the type the properties of the sword are augmented, this sword splits into two katana's Toke and Nisa.
Wind- increases cutting ability
Earth- shatters mundane objects on contact
Metal- shape the sword into another weapon/s or object/s
Water- extinguishes fire and allows a good ability of water manipulation
Lightning- increases the striking ability of the sword
Healing- can heal someone's cuts or bruises
Fire- encases the blade in fire
Shadow- blade becomes weightless
Wood- increases the size of the blade
Ice-whatever it touches freezes
Bow- adamantium war bow, This bow also houses a moderate expanse of magic and like the Tokenisa it also has a converter module that converts the magic into a type the user wants, the has edged handles that are usually sheathed but can be unsheathed to either cut like a double ended sword or can seperate to form two blades, and a magic enhancment charm
Appearence:
Abilities: Soren is a master of weaponry, and has elemental magic which is enhanced with his charm, he wields the elements of metal, earth and wind like it was his very own body, water and lightning are adept, and fire is novice, while others he is still working on. Soren comes from a particular group that is known for their ability to learn things quickly. One of his greatests assets is his innovative mind. his clan has an ability that increases the reaction time, strength and dexterity of the user in times of anger.

Buki no tsuruko: creates a weapon out of an element that is near, mostly wind or earth.

Wind Armor: this creates an armor of wind that deflects all projectiles that are mundane, this also allows the user to jump 10x thier normal height.

Kaze no yo na V.1 aka Wind skates: This encases the users feet and legs in wind that allows the user to move at 30 miles per hour.

Kaze no yo na V.2 aka Wind Khatars: This encases the users hands in wind the user then manipulates the wind into blades in which he can cut metal with.

Kaze no yo na V.3 aka body of kaze: This encases the user's entire body in wind this makes the last two Kaze no yo nas stronger, the V.1 enhancement allows the user to move at 60 mph, while the V.2 enhancement allows the user to use wind fist abilities and the blade is twice as sharp enabling the blade to cut through nearly unbreakable metals and materials.

Ultimate Kaze: This combines the Wind Armor and the Kaze no yo na v.3 allowing the user to fly or move at 90 mph, the blades of the V.2 are enhanced to cut through uncuttable metals, and all projectile and striking attacks are deflected away from the user this ability leaves the user exhausted after releasing the ability.

Earth pillar: This manipulates the earth to shoot out of the ground in a cylindrical form, which can be used as a platform or to launch enemies into the air, the user can make the pillar pointed so as to pierce through an opponent.

Elemental Square: this creates a square out of the elements, 1 square can wrap around a person and either suffocate normally or use an element that the user chooses to damage the opponent how it damages depends on the element. 2 or more squares can be connected together and if they are opposite eachother they can send 1 big blast of an element or multiple small blasts of an element, the squares can also be used to capture someone in a forcefield if they are opposite eachother.

Special Ability- Nagahara's Rage: This ability doubles the users strength, dexterity and reactions, this makes it harder for the user to use his magic and all allies in the vicinity makes it hard for the user to distinguish between friend and foe. The users skin turns reddish when it is acitve. After this fades the user is tired and has his magic ability lessened for 15 posts.

Nagahara's Revenge: This ability enhances the users strength, dexterity and reactions, by a factor of 5, this ability makes the user immune to elements but extremely sensitive to strikes stabs and slices. the user cannot distinguish ally from enemy, and all magical abilites are forgotten for the time that the user is in this state, after the user relinquishes the ability he is exhausted and cannot do magic for 30 posts. The users body turns a shade of ebony and eyes glow yellow.

Enhancements
Right eye: this eye is enhanced to see through inanimate and animate objects and can find someone that the user has met over 200 yards away and pinpoint his location.

Senses:
Normal senses is that of a samurai, and also due to training with earth and wind so much Soren uses the wind and Earth to sense where people are.

Abilities: Telekinesis. But this is a general word that can be used to describe any form of mind over matter. Dave's telekinesis takes the form of air control. This means that when he makes something move, he's actually solidifying some or all of the air around it (in effect, grabbing the object) and then moving the air, which takes the object with it. This 'solid' air around the object must be connected to Dave. This means if you shut him in an airtight room, he can't affect anything outside the room. This also means that his telekinetic strength depends on how far he is from what he wants to move. His powers also give him super jumping skills, as by pushing the air between him and the ground, he can fling himself quite far. Finally, his powers give him a sixth sense, similar to bats' echolocation or dolphins' sonar. His connection with the air around him means he knows where air is and he knows where air isn't, which is therefore where objects are. This sense allows him to 'see' without light, and with a 360 degree angle of vision. Its range is not as good as normal sight, but it can be extended by lessening the field of vision. Unless otherwise stated, this sense is always on, with a 360 degree field of vision and a 10 foot radius due to Dave being more paranoid than the average person (He has very good reasons for this).

Dave is heavily resistant/immune (immune as in no one has yet succeeded) to psychic intrusion. Should anyone be fool enough to try, they (or whatever machine they are using) will experience a "feedback loop" which will be like hearing the noise speakers make when you're tuning them and get it horribly wrong, and give the person a headache (or short-circuit/explode the machine if it's a mechanical psychic). Dave will also experience this, but he knows what to expect so will be less affected.

Equipment: Dave fights wearing what he calls "Rocket Boots", which appear at first glance to be short platform shoes. However, the only bit of the sole that touches the ground is the edge, the rest is hollow, meaning Dave always has some air between his feet and the ground, allowing him to use his powers to jump without having to jump normally first (hence the name). He can also use this air to make himself slide along the ground as if the platforms are hiding wheels.

Post AT3, Dave has lost his right arm. However, this is not immediately obvious, as his powers allow him to act as if it is still there. He now wears a glove on his right 'hand', so that he doesn't accidentally scare anyone when he picks something up with it (and also to make it not immediately obvious to his opponents that he doesn't have an arm).

He has also been experimenting with using his airbending abilities to create sounds. He is now able to throw his own voice to be anywhere within the range of his TK. He's working on imitating other people.

<b>Physical Appearance:</b> Rappy is a member of the Desert Winds tribe of the Sauroblood species, a group of saurian humanoids from the demiplane Trakor'ion. A somewhat intimidating muscular 6 feet, Rappy has fiery orange-gold eyes and serrated triangular teeth to give her a fierce edge. Her hair sprawls out to her shoulders, and is a dark brown with a maroon tinge in it, a so called "Bayou Brunette". Due to the fact that she has a somewhat forceful hourglass figure due to her genetic lineage, these predatory features are used as a counterbalancing offset and as a tool for throwing her weight around against less sensible people who feel who isn't a challenge. Rappy's hands show various signs of wear and tear that she will work hard to regain if they regenerate away: she considers these marks of honor.

<b>Personality:</b> Rappy is usually very cheerful, but can be quite serious when she is in battle. Few things dampen her spirits, with the exception of close friends and family in danger. There are hard times, however, when she becomes depressed, bitter, and otherwise hard to handle. After her "puberty", she holds herself with a regal and commanding bearing, her voice matured from high-pitched girlish voice unbefitting her age to a more womanly mixture of melodic, some Southern accent lightly sprinkled, and a bit of sultry toning in it. All of this has made herself more confident and determined, truly ready of her status as Matriarch. In typical combat, Rappy tries to balance herself between retaining her cheerful mannerisms with her commanding, no-nonsense side.

The Sauroblood has to deal with several types of allergic reactions, including eyes watering and nose running if they get sawdust in them, blue-spotted skin and random transformation spells being spat from her palms after consuming coconut, and making the temperature of the air around her protected body blisteringly hot or frostbitingly cold at random after close contact with songbird feathers. She also extremely disdains purposely performing comedy or antics in a battle that is life or death. She will go all-out to thoroughly beat down an opponent that does so. The latter, however, has slowed over time, Rappy herself even stopping at times to perform a joke or two.

<b>Combat:</b> Rappy's main claim to fame is her powerful magic. She specializes in transmutation magic as well as weather-related spells, which has given her the title "Stormlord". On the other side of the spectrum, she is only average in healing and shielding spells, and cannot perform necromancy due to her cultural taboos causing black mana ties to atrophy. She mainly utilizes transmutation spells in non-vital combat to confuse or disarm the opponent rather than forcing them into a loss. She also enjoys using transmutations to craft items for use in activities that are in her definition of fun. This isn't to say she doesn't have more combat-oriented spells, however. In true battle, the Sauroblood can unleash blood lightning, a form of arcane magic that is a mixture of 1/3 electricity and 2/3 pure arcane energy. This is Rappy\'s signature spell, and one she is highly unlikely to keep herself from using in combat. In addition to magic, Rappy is also a relatively proficient markswoman.

Even when not using magic or technology, the Sauroblood matriarch has physical prowess on her side. A mid-upper par Sauroblood concerning strength, Rappy can lift a total of 460 lbs., and can use that strength to throw her opponents around with ferocity beyond her size. In addition, strong jaw muscles allow her to thrust her serrated teeth with 900 pounds of force, just shy of a hyena\s. While normally human in appearance, the nails on her hands can also be altered into fierce claws. Having dealt with fire plenty, Rappy has made up for her other elemental weaknesses by strengthening her resistance against fire. She also has a slight resistance to cold, but this only propels her species' natural fear of cold into enjoyment and provides little actual combat merit. She also has callouses that run along her feet gained from often walking through thick and even hazardous ground barefoot, a trait gained from her adoptive grandfather. Her hands are similarly thick, but still soft enough to be used dextrously.

<b>Gear:</b> Rappy carries around a holy bullet-loaded Glock 17, her "backup baby", which rarely sees the light of day. In most forms of combat, she wields two tinted alchemist's silver blades, the reddened flame-attuned scimitar Demonbane and the aquamarine ice-attuned longsword Frostviper. Rappy rarely if ever uses armor, commenting that it would only slow her down rather than provide any useful defense.

I doubt she'll ever participate in the arena (despite her abilities, she's not much of a fighter, and I don't think she'd end up in Tandy for very long), but here's my main character/avatar:

muscular, four-fingered hands, no visible nose or ears (glasses somehow stay on), enlarged
almost gorilla-like canine teeth, two-toed splayed feet.
Abilities: very smart, good at math, knows a little Latin and Spanish, musical;
able to transform into a Tetramand (from the TV show Ben 10); when she is in this form, she has the
following abilities: increased strength, Hulk-like jumping ability, thick armored skin, increased depth
perception, various advantages inherent to someone with extra arms
Personality: friendly but shy, peaceful, not always paying as much attention as she should
"Natural" resistances: none to gender change (although she tends to automatically change back after a while,
especially when she's a Tetramand), but most other medium-will-level transformation attempts (if not to her benefit) will result in her switching to her other form. Low-will-level, usually unsuccessful; high-will-level, if they succeed, will stop a few hours (or at worse, a day or two) after they were cast, for the same reason her alien form doesn't age and does heal at an extremely increased rate.

Appearance, Humanoid: looks like a young teenage human boy, but with green skin, almost black unkempt short hair, orange eyes (pupils appear to contract in low light, for reasons I will only explain if someone makes me), green clothes (t-shirt, pants, sneakers). Usually has only four fingers (including thumb) on each hand, sometimes forgets other details such as his usually present cowlick, his nose, and shoelaces, if you look closely enough you might see that his clothes are actually an extension of his body.
Appearance, Limax: slightly shorter than his humanoid form (usually), but thicker; skin slightly darker green; no hair; two round orange eyes without pupil or white; four fingers on each hand (two hands); arms and legs have no obvious joints, but seem to bend in about the same place most of the time; no apparent toes, but two short legs; flesh is translucent, so what seem to be organs (purpose unknown) are easily seen within; mouth is full of many sharp teeth; no apparent nose or ears; voice is like that of his humanoid form spoken through an accordian (can't think of another way to describe it)
Abilities: can change size and shape, to some extent (cannot change his own mass except by eating more than he would normally need, absorbing stuff (no idea what kind of "stuff" fits the requirements), or getting seriously injured; cannot thin to less than two inch thickness/diameter; cannot change his color other than lightening or darkening), becomes stronger in heat, doesn't need water
Disadvantages: aforementioned shapechanging restrictions, cold weakens him, is a carnivore
Results of mutation: cannot change color past darkening/lightening, cannot aquire form of another organism by touch, greater tolerance of cold, greater tolerance of water, can relatively easily craft forms to fit need, greater-than-Limax-average intelligence and acting ability (and here I'd expect deception to be a required talent for a species of doppelgangers...)

This is the character closest to an avatar I ended up using for Chat and decided to throw up the profile for. Although I probably have one character closer... never mind, lets just say, I rather like how this character has grown on me. He's silly enough for great fun, and despite differences, he's got a lot of similarities.

Azrael Ceycard

Height: 6'2" (1.88 m)
Weight: 200 lbs (90.72 kg)
Hair: Light brown, wavy, kept short and ragged without access to an actual barber.
Eyes: Brown with green "chips" in them, so, really just Hazel
Wings: 14'span (4.27 m) with white feathers, though burned and scarred from years of fighting.
Age: Appears around 25 by human conventions, is actually closer to 40

Brief description: Azrael always wears his navy blue cloak with silver trimmings over his off-white military tunic and a pair of black trousers and boots. He is somewhat lithe in his build, with high cheekbones, a narrow jaw line, small nose and eyes that were once dancing with light and emotion, but now just appear weathered and tired.

Azrael is an Angel of his home of Eden, and refers to himself often as "The Archangel of Death." His race appeared on Earth born to human mothers, not as heralds, symbols or signs but as mutations. When the Human race was afraid of them, they tried to purge the Angels from their home.As such, they wrapped themselves in the mantle of the religious symbols they took their names from, forged a new home, and started their own war for what they called Eden, their paradise and home. Wars raged for years, sendning the enite planet to Barbarism until, only about 20 years ago, there was peace, helped along by Azrael himself.

This is not common knowledge among anyone, though, because Azrael rarely speaks, and even less often will brag or try to intimidate. He will occasionally use the symbolism of being an Angel, something he has learned about in his time between worlds, but he usually does it to scare or order the populace away from a combat zone.
He carries his two swords, one an heirloom and one a gift from his favorite cousin. Destiny, a longsword, is around 3'6" long from pommel to tip (106.68 cm) with the hilt depicting a slender angel woman in a long flowing set of robes with her arms up above her head and her wings out-stretched, with the wings forming the cross hilt. He keeps it at his side in a black leather scabbard and claims the sword will sing to him in combat. Finale almost defies categorization, but is best described as an ornate, squat and Broad Zweihander. Finale is black and really two blades that appear like tongues of flame that were cast in metal, pounded flat and sharp, then pressed together flat. Finale is almost 4 feet long a foot wide (121.92 cm and 30.48 cm). Both swords are lighter that they appear (Finale very much so) and can be used one handed. He keeps Finale between his wings on his back, held in place by easily-cut scraps of leather.

Abilities/ Combat style: Angel magic is not what one would call finessed. It has simple names and a hand component and from there on is somewhat unpredictable. Azrael can use the spells Freeze, Burn, Force and Suffer. All of can do multiple basic actions associated with their name, and usually quite obviously do so, but he is not very skilled. His favorite of the group is Suffer, which causes the target to suffer pain their life's pain and worsens as the spell continues (example: the first second is all the physical pain and mental anguish you have ever suffered in your life; the second is your pain and the pain you've cause directly, be it the breaking of someones arm or the teasing you committed as a small child; then the third has the pain you felt, caused directly, and the pain you have caused by causing pain, like the anguish you would have caused a someone by killing their loved one and so on and so on).

His fighting style involves using both his swords at once, Destiny usually in his right and Finale in his left. He uses Finale like both a shield and a hammer, using it to break guards or pin someone in a block and using Destiny to carve them up or pierce something vital. The sheer intimidation of wielding a huge sword such as Finale is often enough to give opponents pause, and pause is often all he needs.
Personality: Usually very quite and brooding, Azrael is not one to socialize. In combat, his mid teds to race with ideas, strategy and the like, but his mouth remains tight lipped except for the occasional sarcastic quip to try and off balance an opponent. On rare occasions, if he enjoys the fight, the combatant or where he is, he may make a few comments about his home and has been known to crack an occasional joke, but this is so rare, it's almost impossible to corroborate.

Brief description: Tyler is the orphaned son of two service members. His father as a pilot, his mother a nurse, and both were awarded high honors for upon their deaths in Desert Storm, including the Medal of Honor for his father and a Silver Star for his mother. He was raised by his Aunt and was often alone in High School. Upon graduation, he decided to hang around for a year or so until he took his guaranteed slot at the Air Force Academy. That "year" was a little bit crazy. In the end, Tyler's year turned into a lifetime, as in the end he got access to the power to manipulate the wind, a Zippo lighter that's really nine weapons in one, found out he's the champion for three extra dimensional entities that want to protect his reality from a big dimension eating baddie and got a wife and two kids.

Never seen without his lighter or his father's dog tags, he usually wears a charcoal grey t-shirt, jeans and a blue over shirt. He always seems to be followed by a breeze, even inside. He resembles his father, though taller, with a pilots lean but somewhat broad-shouldered build and the squared off jaw and defined features that seem to go from combat-zen to laughter to maniacal in less time than people have to process.

Target's lighter can become nine separate weapons, depending on his emotional state and his concentration on the fight. When he's selfless, following orders or emotionless; the lighter changes into a black combat knife, a staff with two sickle blades on the ends, or a simple sword. The stage of form depends on his concentration and emotional involvement in the fight. When selfish, disobeying orders or just full of emotion; the "lighter" becomes a silver curved dagger, a black glove with obsidian claws, or a set of gems pierced through his hands that allows him to manipulate an aura that burns like a fire and can pull like telekinesis. When Tyler is in complete control of his emotions and his mental state, when he can manipulate his own thoughts, he has access to the final set. The 'lighter' becomes either a six shot revolver; a set of forearm-mounted hook-ended blades that extend along the outside of his arm to beyond his hands; or a ten-foot bladed chain whip that can be controlled with his mind, allowing him to wrap an opponent up and...squeeze.

Abilities/Style: Tyler is first and foremost a brawler in combat, having only a bit of training from his father's old squadron mates in CQB and his now quite large amount of experience, he just does what feel 'right.' He is an Aeromancer, technically an embodiment of a wind god, and is capable of great feats and channeling the energy of the wind into himself. he uses it more like a rough telekinesis mot of the time, but has been known to use it in other ways. When he does, he usually uses pressure differentials to cause things to break, be crushed, or explode, and is getting quite good at it. When bored, he often threatens to use his control over air to give someone an aneurysm, though he has yet to follow through with that. If he concentrates, he can greatly alter the way his powers work, from things like flying to altering concentrations of certain parts of the air around him, such s making a section more oxygen rich, cutting off all air to an area, or manipulating dust in the air to make shapes or block views.

His dog tags were altered to act as a sort of mental anchor, preventing any magic from affecting his mental state. This excludes hallucinations and illusions, mostly it prevents him from having someone implant false memories, making him forget or making him think he's someone or thing else. His lighter filters his blood from chemicals on a slight delay, but nothing effects him for longer than a few seconds. All the chemicals absorbed are released from the lighter however, as he has discovered to his chagrin when out after a night of drinking; finding his lighter dripping ethanol, his mind sober and his wallet empty.

He tends to use his lighter's abilities to try and surprise opponents. When he concentrates, he can make his lighter shift from form to form at will, and will do so often in the middle of a strike. Unfortunately, the more and more he uses the abilities of the lighter, the more it draws on his own body for energy. The lighter uses an exchange of mass for energy and often is fine for whole battles with nothing more than the food in his stomach or the fat reserves in his body. However, the further along a tier of weapons he goes, the less efficient and more costly the conversions are, until the lighter cannibalizes him for energy. When using the gems, for example, he often overdoes it and doesn't realize that the flesh at the tips of his fingers are being eaten away until the bones at his fingertips are exposed.

As a potential with guaranteed admission to any of the United States Military Academies (one of the side effects of being the child of a Medal of Honor recipient), Tyler was trained by his father's friends in a variety of weapons, and has been known to use his connections to bring many of the US Military's small arms to a fight. They have yet to authorize the use of anything larger than an FIM-92 Stinger (and that was the once...), no matter how much he begs for them to let him take an F-22 for a spin. Or the AC-130U Spooky Gunship. Or the M1A1 Abrams. Or the M1126 Stryker. Or that time he asked about the USS Harry S. Truman...

Personality: Tyler is cynical, sarcastic, and often mocking to the point where its just not funny anymore. He makes incredibly violent jokes then shrugs them off like nothing, often disturbing or scaring those that don't know him well, an occasionally those that DO. He mocks his opponent relentlessly in combat, and if he runs out of materiel to use on them, he will often start to mock himself, he claims "so my mouth has something to do." The easiest way to see if he respects you is if he mocks you, the best way to see if he hates you is if he mocks you. The main difference is in the WAY he does it. He is, however, loyal to his friends, devoutly protective of his family, and dedicated to his duty. Those that interfere with that often wind up seeing his more focused side, where he is silent, smiling and far more deadly. He has a kinder, quieter side, that shows often around children, his close friends, the injured, and his family. Tyler also has a sadistic side around anyone who makes him angry enough, which is surprisingly hard to do. He tries to hide it most of the time, but his violent jokes often take a rather gruesome turn with his abilities if he's provoked or his loved ones are threatened.

So, life summary: born, Piaget's first 2 stages of development, punched in the gut by life repeatedly, with occasional bi-polar-esque moments of "Aww, baby, I'll make it better" from life again, 2 more stages of development, Life evolving to crotch kicks, then some more good bits with crotch-kick-y sprinkles, then you die? With the option of dying being placed earlier, before the good bits? Pretty Much. Why? ...Because it's Better than the Alternative. ...Point.

Weapon
Savior, the Holy Broadsword. This is the main source of his energy, known as 'Soul Power' (described below). The weapon is his main means of attack, and also serves as a recharging utility to restore his Soul Energy after a battle ends. Aside from the stands uses a sword has, the weapon can also discharge crescent-shaped blasts of Soul Energy at his opponent, simply by sweeping the blade while focusing on his target.

Description
Black hair, brown eyes. Regardless of his holy position in life, Maxwell wears nothing but black, right down to the sheath that houses his sword. His shirt resembles a skin-tight, thin turtleneck, that is not only light but allows for easy moments with little restraint. He wears jeans, black as usual, that sport a black-leather belt extending from his left hip to his right knee, and a steel belt buckle with a cross on it. His weapon is strapped to his belt, with the handle of Savior peeking out over his right should for easy access.

Personality
Maxwell is a modern-day paladin, taken out of the history books and updated to fit his current surroundings. Though technology has advanced, Maxwell still prefers the handle of steel clutched between his fingers. Supposedly chosen by God, Mr. Kruss is on a mission to purge evil from world, through any means necessary. Thus, if he dictates anyone or anything to be evil, he will not hesitate to attack it in an effort to purify it, even if it results in the destruction of what he wishes to "save". In a matter of speaking, he is self-righteous and thick headed.

Abilities

Soul Power: The driving force of Maxwell's techniques. Everything he uses, outside of standard combat practices, is fueled by 'Soul Power'. When Maxwell charges the energy into his body for later use, the 'Soul Power' is sealed in the body, and are set in place by a series of tattoo's. These tattoos, using Japanese Kanji, symbolize a certain aspect of Hope or Faith, and must be called out by name in order to release them.

Right Arm - Courage: The right arm handles most offensive techniques of combat. This includes the following.

  • Strength Boost: Increased physical strength while a thin shield of Soul Power covers the arm, protecting it from shrapnel and cutting should it punch or strike anything solid, like rock or steel.
  • Beam: Fires a straight beam of Soul Power, which explodes in a small radius when it strikes something solid.



Left Arm - Justice: The left arm handles most defensive techniques. This includes the following.

  • Pulse: A brief flicker of Soul Power, much like Shield's ability, to repel small amounts of projectiles.
  • Shield: A constant flow of Soul Power creates a round wall to protect against projectiles and other attacks.



Right Leg - Hope: The right leg handles the Offensive/Defensive aspects of leg-based combat. This includes the following.

  • Speed: Using Soul Power, Maxwell speeds up his land movement. This ability, when activated, extends to both legs, not just the right leg.
  • Wave: Kicking his leg in the needed direction, Maxwell releases a brief blast of Soul Power, in an effort to repel any object or person near him.



Left Leg - Faith: The left leg handles the Enhancement abilities to his standard methods of movement, not including Speed. This includes the following.

  • Jump: A burst of Soul Power propels Maxwell, extending his jump height. This can be used multiple times in succession, and does not need ground beneath his feet to work, thus allowing "air jumping".
  • Hover: A constant stream of Soul Power works much like the Jump ability, but allows him to stay in place instead of falling.



Back - God: Covering his entire back in a large tattoo, the God tattoo powers his final attack.

  • Crucifix: Used as a means to end battles, Crucifix is a deceptive ability. Maxwell tosses his weapon, Savior, at his enemy. The sword swirves, not to hit the target, but to attach itself to the target, usually on it's back. Soul Power flows from the weapon, holding the enemy in place as it becomes a very large Cross, forcing the target into a Crucified position. The target cannot move or even speak, and is helpless against whatever onslaught Maxwell may bring. However, during this time, Maxwell cannot use his sword, for it holds the enemy in place.

Gender: Male
Age: 17
Race: Human
Class: Kickboxer

Appearance: Clyde has naturally white hair, which explains why he is allowed to look the way he does. He wears standard school clothes, primarily made of a long sleeved shirt and jeans. He carries a backpack with him, and wears a pair of sneakers with horseshoes that are fitted to contore to the soles.

Bio: Clyde was raised by his mother, the "Queen". He belongs to a group who apparently are ranked by the Chess Piece they hold, though not much more is known outside of this. Some even assume that the woman he refers to as "mother" is not even his real mother. Though he is allowed to paricipate in normal schooling, he has a special situation set up with the teachers that allow him to be pulled from class at any time.

The true goals of his group, however, have yet to be revealed.

Abilities: Depending on whether Clyde is carrying his backpack or not, his running speed can vary between 37 MPH and an unknown limit. Although his legs are already powerful enough on their own to kick through brick, even more damage can be done while using the velocity of his speed in turn with the kicks.

Sonic booms, tornados, wind blasts... all are possible depending on Clyde's use of his speed.

Most of this is possible due to Clyde's link with his Chi, which prevents his body from being torn apart from the conditions it's put under.

There is one more ability Clyde uses, but it is only as a finishing move since he can only do it once every 24 hours. Deemed as 'Alpha and Omega', Clyde focuses positive and negative Chi into opposite hands and forces it into his opponent's body. The positive energy heals the opponent, while the negative energy damages them. This constant churning of damage causes an extreme amount of pain, while keeping the opponent conscious and away from death.

Equipment: (5) 57 pound metal books in Clyde's backpack, used as a training device.

Metal leg and forearm guards, hidden under his pant legs and long sleeves. Used to avoid high speed collisions with sharp objects.

A black Knight piece on a necklace. The bottom of the piece is twistable and activates it's hidden ability, which is unlocking one's inner Chi. This is how Clyde activates the use of 'Alpha and Omega'.

The avatar battles on this forum have fascinated me from the moment I saw them. I have always been interested in Role Playing although I have rarely had an outlet for it. It has been years since I actually fought a "battle" (and that ended with my character running away like a coward). I'm not really sure about all of the rules here yet but I'll keep reading. I think I understand most of the basics although I still do have questions.


Anyways, here is one of my characters. I figured it would be easier to test the waters with a character not bound by laws and morality.

Appearance:
Semira has dark blue eyes, pale skin, and waist length dark brown hair. She is slender and from what little skin she shows is fairly attractive. Her most common outfit consists of boots, a long skirt with top, and a cloak that usually conceals most of her body. Her clothes are of various colors, but most of them are dark.

Bio:
Semira was born with "Congenital Insensitivity to Pain with Anhidrosis" and is unable to feel physical pain of any kind. She takes damage just the same as anyone although she is completely unfazed by events that could bring even the toughest men to tears.

Semira became violent and destructive as she grew older and she began to torture small animals. By age seven her parents became so frightened of her that they put her up for adoption. She spent the next few years floating from foster home to foster home. She rarely lasted a few weeks before she was given up. Her violence finally grew beyond animals and spread to people. She would assault social workers and other children with sudden and seemingly random outbursts. By age eleven when it was recommended she be confined to a mental health institution Semira ran away.

Semira lived on the streets for the next few years. She stole what she needed all the while satisfying her ever growing hunger for pain. She would often pick fights with people who far outmatched her and was fortunate on several occasions to escape with her life.

One day she snuck up on what appeared to be a simple woman librarian. The librarian turned out to be a potent magic user and the fight left Semira near the brink of death. The librarian healed her though and even gave her a home for the next couple of years. Semira learned the basics of magic as well as how to hone her empathic abilities. It is unclear whether Semira came to care about this librarian, although she never made another attempt to harm her.

The librarian’s teachings did not quell Semira’s nature though. She began to stalk randomly selected individuals and would ultimately maim and kill these people. All of her current money and possessions were stolen from previous victims.

Personality:
One word can describe her: heartless. For reasons no one has fathomed, Semira has always displayed a complete disregard for all forms of life. For her, everyone exists solely to satisfy some twisted curiosity. She has an extremely unhealthy obsession with pain (many have theorized it stems from her pain disorder coupled with her contempt for life) that compels her to seek out new victims to inflict as much pain as they can bear. Although Semira cannot feel her own pain, with her Empathy she is able to feel the pain of others. Semira is also known to always tell the truth no matter the situation. From afar Semira comes off as shy and she rarely causes a ruckus in public. She prefers a one on one approach. On extremely rare occasions one can witness Semira acting almost “normal”: giggling, carrying on rational conversations, and even being kind. The cause of this sudden mood shift is unknown.

Abilities:
Extraordinary Empathy: Despite being completely heartless towards all living things, Semira was born with the ability to perfectly feel every emotion and sensation that anyone around her feels. While growing up her empathic abilities increased, allowing her to feel everyone within several miles. Unlike other Empaths who learn to filter out unwanted emotions, Semira uses no filters. She constantly absorbs the emotions and sensations of thousands upon thousands of people every second of every day.
Emotion Projection: Semira is able to use her empathic gifts to reach into the minds of others and plant the emotion of her choosing inside of them. She can make someone deliriously happy for no reason in the matter of seconds or she can on occasion create such intense fear in a victim that they suffer an immediate stroke.
Pain Projection: Recently Semira has been working on projecting beyond emotions. She has been working on the ability to directly project pain onto a victim. While her target suffers no actual damage, they will feel the all too real sensation of having an arm sliced off, or worse. People who are suddenly writhing on the floor in agony are easier to attack.
Magic: While Semira has shown a natural aptitude towards using magic, her knowledge and application of spells is very limited. She has had very little in the way of formal magical training as the chances of being killed by her increase exponentially by the minute. Most of her spells are garden-variety fireballs or small lightning bolts. One field of magic she has become somewhat proficient in is the ability to heal, although this was mostly out of necessity to compensate for her recklessness.
Weapons: While she often comes off as timid and frail, she is proficient with a multitude of weapons. She always carries a dagger which she generally avoids using until after she has already disabled her victim. She is commonly seen with a sword, specially crafted with modern synthetic materials to be both light enough for her to carry and strong enough for her to inflict significant damage. She rarely uses firearms, as they tend to kill too quickly, although she is not above using them if the situation warrants.

Appearance: Has all the characteristics of a anime-based catboy, namely a pair of cat-ears, cat-eyes, tail, and canines. Medium-length dishwater-blond hair with brown, tabby fur to match. Green eyes.

Skills and special abilities:
Has exceptional agility, balance, and poise. Can survive falls from a 10 story building and always lands on his feet. However, he has very little fighting experience and no weapons besides claws (plagiarized straight from Wolverine) and slightly developed canines. Excellent night vision.

His principal special ability is a weaponized form of adorability, which he wields with unnerving accuracy. His adorable cat-ears and big cat eyes have been known to melt the stoniest of hearts and sooth the stormiest of battle-rages. Unfortunately this leaves him open to yaoi counterattack. It is hypothesized that if an equally bishie catboy locked eyes with him at the same time, they would become trapped in a feedback loop and an eternal, loving embrace.

He aims to acquire magic-based weapons and gadgets as time progresses.

Personality: Cattish. His human heritage blessed him with intelligence and the ability to talk, but little else it seems. Primarily he enjoys sleeping, napping, and having his ears stroked; he is also under the belief that other people want to stroke his ears.

He is partly-nocturnal, which suits his thieving-habits. He takes things mostly due to his confusion over what is and isn't his (if he's rubbed against it then it's his; if it's shiny, it's his; if nobody else seems to be using it at that exact moment, it's his).
Genuinely friendly with people when he wants to be, but aloof and uninterested when he doesn't.
Has very few qualms about physical contact and personal space.
Can be temporarily incapacitated by a laser dot on a wall, or a crudely-crafted cotton fish on a string.

Abilities: (The abilities of this particular Hunter Unit are as unknown as its name, but here is overview of basic Hunter abilities.)
The Hunter Bio-Mech archetype was primarily design to be a combat unit with modular adaptability in mind. To this end the actual Hunter "Unit" is a Core (Its brain) while its "Body" is made of neural networked modular components, which can be swapped out or removed and controlled remotely. These components posses slight regenerative and force propulsion capabilities which allow Hunter Units to not only take a lot of damage, but to literally "put themselves back together".

Components:
This Hunter Unit appears to be equipped for all-terrain movement with Heavy Anti-Vehicle/Fortification primary and Light Anti-Personnel secondary combat load-out.

Quadrupedal Articulate Leg Assemblage: A sturdy four-leg set-up which allows for walking and running movement on most terrain.
Wheeled Under-base: A four wheel mount underneath the legs, this allows for high speed movement on flat terrain.
Basic Torso Assembly: A two armed torso, on which is mounted...

Left Arm:
Hand - Basic Five Digit Manipulator: A robotic left hand, similar to a humans.
Primary Weapon Mount - Energy Rocket Launcher x4: A launcher that fires regenerating rockets, which when detonated, convert to energy to produce a variety of effects.
Secondary Weapon Mount - Automatic Anti-Personnel Energy Blaster: A fold out weapon that fires machine-gun like burst of energy, which can be set to have different effects.

Right Arm:
Hand - Sighting Sensor Mount: A mount on which a range and vision sensor are placed, that allows better aiming of the arms primary weapon.
Primary Weapon Mount - Heavy Energy Cannon: A cannon that fires a large beam of energy, that can be set with specialised effects.
Secondary Weapon Mount - Automatic Anti-Personnel Energy Blaster: A fold out weapon that fires machine-gun like burst of energy, which can be set to have different effects.

Basic Head Mount: A head assembly with binocular vision sensor and Core mounts, it also has a...
Hover-scout Optical Assembly: An assembly that allows extra sensors to be mounted on the head, this one appears to have two infrared sensors, one range sensor, and one day/night vision sensor.
Since this Unit has a Hover-scout Optical Assembly, it can be assumed that it also has a...
Hover-scout: A hovering board, on which weapons, sensors and a Unit's Core can be mounted to allow for airborne operation.

Note: This Unit has a number of quirks. Its' bright, blocky, multicolored body is unusual compared to most units sleeker components and sutler color schemes, almost as if it were build out of some kind of automatic binding brick. It also does not behave like most other Hunter Units, and seems to be distant as if its' mind were elsewhere.

Appearance: Masterweaver looks like a black leather robe because of the simple fact he IS a black leather robe! *Crickets*
Bio: Masterweaver originally hails from the city of IF, but comes to the Wotch forums on a regular basis. Upon seeing the Arena, he decided to stay FAR FAR AWAY, which of course meant that he was forcibly captured and thrown in.
Abilities: Because he is an animated piece of cloth, he is able to survive many things. Fire, ice, pointy object, explosions, nerf... Yes, he is a survivor, as long as somebody patches him up afterwards. He also has slight--Very slight--ninja skills. In addition, he is incredibly light, and can form himself into a parachute merely by shutting his sleeves and hood. He also, unusually for a piece of cloth, has an internal hammerspace that he has stuffed with Idearium. He has recently acquired the ability to summon nerf weapons, from nerf swords to nerf bazookas. Nerf, existing on all planes of reality, can actually be quite dangerous. Finally, he has a pair of warp blades that he can activate from his sleeves. Warp blades can deflect anything, but can only cut through what the common knife can.
Personality: Masterweaver is highly intelligent but also, at the same time, incredibly stupid. He has been set on fire on numerous occasions. He generally responds to this by running around screaming. His words do not usually get thought about. He is willing to admit he is wrong, if only to stop all the people slashing at him with sharp objects.

Appearance: Trebuchet has this cool upper-face mask with three prongs, or at least he thinks it's cool. He wears a long-sleeved green shirt, a pair of jeans, and purple cape, gloves and boots.
Anaphasia is the source of all Trebuchet's actual super powers. She is a light-blue energy being with two limbs that in in scythes and a highly draconic face.
Bio: Trebuchet is a young superhero who is still learning the ropes. He found Anaphasia in a strange egg-like comet and nursed her back to health. He then went off to learn from the greatest of heros, and uses the arena to hone his and Anaphasia's skills. Anaphasia is very loyal to Trebuchet.
Abilities: Anaphasia is the source of all Trebuchet's actual super powers. She can phase through solid matter, though she can't affect anything while phased and also cannot phase anything with her. She can also absorb many forms of energy, and generate small bolts of something that looks like lightning, flies like spidy's webbing, and stings like a chain-saw. She also flies!
Equipment: Trebuchet is equipped with steel-tipped gloves, a cape that is interwoven with solar filaments, a battery around his neck that the solar power is transfered to, and a pair of boots that allow him to ride his otherwise immaterial companion, Anaphasia.
Personality: Trebuchet is young, bright, and ready to battle evil! Anaphasia is younger, brighter, and ready to protect Trebuchet from all the idiotic things he gets himself into...

Appearance: His eight-pointed hat has a single horn rising from the center and is checkered black and red. A waist-lentgh red robe ripples down his body. Black pants, black gloves, black shoes. His gloves are encircled in red scraps of cloth. When he speaks, he uses his mouth strangely.
Bio: The Freak originated in a play, very gothic kid of play, very abstract. The playwright decided to visit the world of the play. The Freak killed him and escaped the devastated world. An unknown period of time later, he was found by Masterweaver, who successfully corralled him in a webcomic and managed to give him medication that dulled his mind. When the Freak heard of the arena, he begged--aggressively--to be allowed to fight in it. He is only taken off his meds in the arena, for safety reasons.
Abilities: The Freak is a super-athlete, able to leap to the ceiling and wall-jump to his heart's content. He also has the ability to manipulate life energy, withdrawing it from a source and repairing himself and, during particularly... imaginative bouts, others. The Freak's aura is not the shabby vague thing most creatures have, but is in the same shape as his dagger. He always makes sure to read up on his... entertainment before making a move.
Equipment: The Freak has a single half-meter dagger. It is a curved blade, with no decorations and no hilt. He controls how sharp it is at any given moment, and it has been known to slice through fireballs, air molecules, and turkey bones with ease. In addition, he can call it from wherever it may be and it will fly , point first, in a straight line towards his hand.
Personality: The Freak came from a place where he was the embodiment of an abstract concept. Thus, whereas most people have love and hate and hunger, his entire personality is geared toward him being THE FREAK. He revels in pain, be it his own or others, but not in death, as that ends far too many of his games. When on his meds, other personality aspects do come forward, but this ids most likely due to the befuddlement the meds produce, and as he's not on his meds in the arena anyways... Suffice it to say, he's scary.

Appearance: Stands 6 feet tall with tanned skin and waist length violet hair tied back in a ponytail. Wears a grey gi and black hakama with his sword always on his belt. Has a slender but athletic build.

Bio: A wandering samurai who's life was changed the day he found himself sharing bodies with a strange sorceress named Prishe. At first their forced partnership was loose at the best of times, they gradually grew to love each other and now they are separate and have married and bore a daughter. They still savor the life of adventuring and continue to see the world.

Abilities: Hawkeye himself is a fast and dexterous swordsman who can perform the iaijutsu strike faster than the eye can see. Wielding the Masamune, his family blade, he can command the forces of the sky to his aid. He knows some thunder and lightning magic but prefers spells that amplify himself to direct damage though he won't hesitate to use those as well when needed.

Equipment: Masamune, his family blade which has been passed down for as long as any can remember. Despite it's power in commanding thunder and lightning, it was called the holy sword for it's true power was in breaking off conflict before it began. When sheathed, the sword grants it's wielder a supernatural awareness of danger and surrounds him with a commanding aura. Those seeking to attack him must be strong willed to summon the courage to do so. These benefits vanish when the sword is drawn. (The sword safeguards fledgling heroes but does not protect them from their own foolishness) The masamune is a shining katana with a gold hilt and the blade is decorated with images of lightning and clouds. Masamune is keyed to a single chosen wielder and becomes too heavy to lift should any it deems unworthy try to wield it.
He also carries throwing daggers, a grappling hook and several other minor items on his person that come in handy.

Prishe Tomori

Class: Wild mage

Appearance: Stands 5'2 with a petite, elven frame along with fair skin and loose blue hair. Has a tail and ears like a cat as well as narrow, slit eyes. Wears black silk pants with a blue top and red cape along with white gloves. Typically has her sword floating at her side in combat rather than carrying it.

Bio: Little is known about her birth or origins. She is often assumed to be a demon for her ability to bestow curses and wield destructive magic but this has been revealed to be false. She knows she is a natural being but doesn't know her own origins. She bound her soul to her own sword when she was slain by witch hunters years ago until the day Hawkeye drew the sword and bound their souls together. Having later won a body of her own, she married Hawkeye and bore him a child.

Abilities: Prishe is physically weak but her magic more than makes up for that. She can wield wild magic and maintain control of it unlike most who dabble in such risky power. She favors fire and shadow magic but is capable of using others if needed. Prishe favors spells that do direct damage.

Equipment: Murasame, the Masamune's twin, often known as the Reaver in Red. Unlike it's brother, Murasame revels in violence and destruction as it amplifies it's user's rage and power in battle. It's wielder gradually becomes more reckless and cannot be intimidated even in the face of overwhelming odds. When blood touches the blade, it glows red hot and turns it to a crimson mist that drives all within it into a primal frenzy. Murasame is a short katana with a red hilt tipped with a silk tassel. Murasame is keyed to a chosen wielder and immolates any unworthy wielder that tries to use it.

Primitia Tomori

Appearance: Stands 5'6 with slightly tanned skin and long violet hair like her father. Like her mother, she has feline traits including pointed ears and a long tail with narrow eyes. Wears a dark blue dress with a seam down the side to avoid restricting leg movement.

Bio: The daughter of Hawkeye and Prishe, Primitia inherited her father's sense of justice along with her mother's curiosity though bravery was one thing she missed out on. Primitia can be timid and unsteady in the face of danger and she is deathly afraid of the dark. For the sake of doing the right thing, she usually can force herself to overcome this. She grew up in a happy household until the day her parents were captured by an unknown entity, forcing her to journey out into the world to save them.

Abilities: Though inexperienced, Primitia was trained well by her father and inherited her mother's talent at magic. As a witch blade, Primitia can channel magic through her sword as well as cast spells that hinder her opponents while amplifying herself. Her most notable ability is that to copy attributes from other beings including racial traits. The results can be upredictable but it's an ability that has served her well.

Equipment: Mithril rune blade. A newly forged sword that has yet to be given a name. It was a birthday present when Primitia turned 16 and for the longest time, it was all she had to help her on her journey. For those reasons, she treasures the blade dearly. It is a silvery sword decorated with runes that flare up in a variety of brilliant colors when magic is channeled through them.

Appearance: When blending in with normal people, Morah looks like a young gnome woman with bright blue eyes and red hair tied in a pair of thick pigtails. Once she sheds her guise, she has violet skin and red eyes with black irises and white pupils. She wears a rubbery black resin material as clothing which is produced from her own body as bears four thick tentacles on her back. When her mental restrictions are lifted, she can assume even more monstrous forms.

Bio: Morah was born an ordinary gnome who worked as a doctor all her life until the day she came into contact with a flesh sample from the far realm. Her body was consumed but the flesh incorporated her mind, granting her a new body that could reshape itself into almost anything conceivable. Morah continues to work as a doctor though she uses her unique abilities to further that end and tends to see all faults in others as simply illnesses that require treatment. Morah can often be morally questionable and many would call her insane but she does have good intentions at heart.

Abilities: Morah can produce black resin from her body which can be used as clothing, tools, weapons and just about anything she could need. She can also reshape her body itself as well as produce toxins, diseases and medicines with the strange fluids that flow through it. Despite her at first humanoid appearance, Morah has no internal organs or any discernable anatomy (ie: she doesn't have vital spots. Stabbing her in the head does the same amount of damage as stabbing her in the foot) Given her vast abilities, she isn't without weaknesses. Her body consumes a lot of food to maintain itself and can gain sustenance from any organic material regardless of freshness or source. Starvation causes her excrutiating pain and can drive her into a feral rage if not sated. For this reason, she has mental blocks put on herself to keep her higher powers from functioning without her direct say so.

Equipment: Since she can create any weapon or tools she could need, Morah has no use for manufactured weapons of any kind. She typically uses hand blades to fight as well as her tentacles.

Aryll
Gender: female
Age: centuries though she considers herself 5 as that was the time of her "new beginning"

Appearance: From the waist up, she resembles a human woman with six arms wearing a mithril chest plate with a white flower in her hair. Her eyes once shone with crimson rage are now a gentle, sparkling blue. Her lower torso is a long, red serpent tail. From head to tail, she measure around 20 feet though coiled up, she "stands" about 7.

Bio: "The Demon With a Heart," once a brutal general in the service of the demon prince Nethkazar, Aryll has seen things in a new light and has turned away from her dark heritage. She fights her former allies and seeks to teach moral wrongdoers the errors of their ways. She feels terrible guilt for her past misdeeds and will stop at nothing to make things right again.

Abilities: Aryll is superhumanly strong and very skilled in both combat and battle tactics. Her only magical ability is her talent at turning the essence of defeated foes into weapons which she stores in a pocket space. She has a wide variety of these weapons, allowing her to gain the upper hand in almost any situation.

Hungering claws: Hand claws from an effigy. Constantly surrounded by searing flames, they seek to burn and consume all they touch.

Aegis of the silver wyrm: A shield from a silver dragon Aryll that was forced to fight Aryll against it's will. The dragon face upon it can breath icy cold.
Holy avenger: once a trophy from a defeated paladin, Aryll's good heart has enabled her to utilize it's power to wield the holy light to strike down evil
Spear of the psion: A staff from an illithid. The staff shield's it's wielder's mind from psychic invasion and can leech the mental power of those it strikes
Gazer shot: A flintlock from a beholder. The eye adorning the end can fire magical rays just like the eyes of a beholder
Final death: A heavy mace from the spirit of a cleric. The bane of undead, it protects it's wielder from negative energy and undead destroyed by it can never rise again

Prince Nethkazar "The Defiler"

Appearance: A tall and muscular figure with flawlessly chiseled features. With his shiny black skin, pointed ears, long flowing blond hair and amber, cat like eyes, he resembles a really attractive drow but his crimson feathered wings, small fangs and slight glow to his eyes mark him for the demon he is. Wears trousers of the finest quality and stunning jewelry and gold bracers to further enhance his appearance. Is rarely seen without a retinue of female humanoids and monsters with him.

Personality: On the outside, he likes to act the part of the dashing swordsman who showers attention on women but underneath, he is cruel, vain, chauvanistic, cold hearted, manipulative and extremely arrogant.

History: Unknown, no demon can remember a time before he was in power.

Powers: Flight, superhuman agility first of all. Nethkazar is also a skilled swordsman with his twin swords, Defiler's Razor and Heart Stealer. He also wields corrupt elemental magic that he uses to good effect. Nethkazar is most notably known for his ability to make any creature fall in love with him, hence his massive harem. Anyone in his harem is marked with his symbol that allows him to look through their eyes at any time and even channel his powers through them.

First stab at a fighter!

Name: Peregrin Reiter
Gender: Male
Age: 20

Appearance: Peregrin wears a brown leather vest he made himself from the skin of a dead bear, sturdy jeans and a white cotton shirt he pilfered from a department store (fireproofed with material he looted from same store), and covers his feet with leather sandals, which he exchanges for reinforced fire- and water-resistant running shoes in combat. He usually grows his hair long, not really from lack of a barber but because they shield him better against the elements, and, surprisingly, shaves regularly. Beards catch fire easily, as he learned during a training session in the forest. [Updated from: Peregrin usually dresses up like a normal 20-year old; in combat, a black vest with a worn hawk emblem at the sign is usually thrown on top of his shirt. He favors khakis over any other type of pants, and wears reinforced running shoes that are largely immune to fire and water damage. He also wears a shark tooth necklace and, at times, a wristwatch. Shades are also a part of his get-up.]

Innate abilities: Peregrin was born with the ability to see into the future. Not very far, several minutes at most, and the accuracy of his predictions decreases exponentially when trying to see farther than half a minute. Aside from that, Peregrin has control over electromagnetism and can deal widespread damage when sufficiently focused. Peregrin also has an extremely high tolerance for pain and can push himself to extreme limits before breaking down. This applies to torture as well as exercise, though torture rarely enters into the picture; Peregrin wouldn't be so dumb as to let himself get caught by an enemy.
Learned abilities: Over the years, Peregrin has learned to take advantage of his ability to see the future. As such, he is rarely surprised by any attacks and, after having taken a few years of combat training, can dodge projectiles very easily. Peregrin is also a fast runner with tremendous stamina, capable of running for max. six hours at an average of 22 mph. He can run as high as 35 mph, but in short bursts. As a result of his combat training, Peregrin is skilled in some martial arts, which he uses mainly for melee combat. He also has extensive control over his electromagnetic powers, almost to the point of being able to perform telekinesis. [Update] His bout with Elijah Sight left Peregrin with a crude but accurate long-term vision of the future. This vision has motivated him to improve on his skills to be able to fulfill his pictured destiny, making the relationship between him and the vision a cyclical one. At this point, while he is still unable to predict events farther than 30 seconds with absolute certainty, he can accurately anticipate attacks coming even five minutes away. He has developed an idiosyncratic style of running and climbing similar to that of a parkour practitioner, and can move without making any noise. He has an acute awareness of the EM field by now and can map out entire city blocks by exerting small pulls on everything within a certain radius and measuring the resistance he meets at specific points.
Weaknesses: Though rarely caught by surprise, Peregrin can still be startled if he is distracted or asleep; however, due to his extreme vigilance (bordering on paranoia), this almost never happens. Peregrin, being a human, can also be harmed by poisons and without a healing factor is easily incapacitated by severe physical injuries. Furthermore, though he is capable of fighting/running nonstop for several days/hours, the continued strenuous activity is very draining for him. Once all his energy is used up, he will collapse in a faint, and it will take him a few days to get his energy level back to an optimum level.

Equipment: A polished ferromagnetic rod which serves as a hand tool and an amplifier/conduit for his powers; occasionally, a welder's mask for protection against intense glare. He is also frequently overcome by regret and feelings of guilt. Peregrin is hardworking and stubborn, and will usually stop at nothing to achieve his goals.

Appearance: Fairly rustic. Manuel usually wears a coarse white linen shirt, brown trousers, a light cotton jacket to shield him from the wind, and rough leather sandals. He sports a short, almost stubbly beard, and keeps his hair short as well. He is rather fair-skinned, which is unusual given his commonly assumed race and the amount of time he spends outdoors. Though nobody knows how old he is, he has the appearance of a young man in his mid-twenties.

Innate abilities: Insatiable curiosity, extraordinary innate and applied intelligence, keen intuition, and a natural eye for aesthetics.
Learned abilities: Totality of his abilities are unknown. Those so far documented: Exceptional skill with all string instruments, partially a result of playing the Orphean lyre; ability to flawlessly imitate most types of bird and animal calls, as well as natural sounds; intuitive knowledge of acoustics; ability to manipulate both animate and inanimate objects through music and song, a power primarily associated with the Orphean lyre which has filtered through to him as well.
Weaknesses: Vague perception of reality coupled with synesthesia.

Equipment: A variety of Western stringed instruments, including a guitar, fiddle, violin, lute, and, most notably, the Orphean lyre. The lyre allegedly belonged to Orpheus, renowned musician of Greek lore, who was able to charm the trees, stones, and even the heart of Hades. When he died, the lyre was thrown into the river Hebrus along with his head; they both floated down to the Mediterranean shores, and the lyre was supposedly taken by the Muses and set among the stars. Manuel's ownership of the lyre suggests a more down-to-earth explanation of its disappearance; it is not known when or how he came into its possession, or who its keepers were before him. Some theories suggest that wandering gypsies found the lyre and handed it down within a certain family, eventually ending up in Manuel's hands when its gypsy owners wanted nothing more to do with the power the instrument held. The lyre is unusual in that it appears to have a normal set of strings, but in fact holds an infinite number; only those strings the musician needs appear when he is about to play them. The full spectrum of the lyre's tone ranges from the infrasonic to the ultrasonic. As such, the musician can produce sounds no normal instrument can hope to achieve. The lyre's tone also does not weaken or "break apart" in open air, but retains the fullness and nuance it would make in a well-designed concert hall. Last but not least, a skilled player can channel the energy of the lyre into surrounding objects, manipulating them in a manner similar to "musical telekinesis". The music also has an irrepressible effect on living creatures, depending on their personalities: the light-hearted may find the music mesmerizing, the somber may be saddened, the sadistic may be totally repulsed by it. This hypnotic quality is also present in Manuel, and functions to a lesser degree when he plays any of his other instruments.

Personality: Normally cheery, playful, meek, but avoidant. Very few have seen Manuel face-to-face and remained sane enough to talk about it. Because of this, the villagers of the towns Manuel is said to haunt think of him as an angel of God, or even God Himself, and say that all who witness him will be consumed by his presence until they are driven mad. His name is often used to scare children and teenage girls from leaving the house alone at night ("Don't go out after twilight or Manuel will catch you in the moonlight").
Alignment: Neutral.

Notes: This is a prototype for a character I'm planning on using eventually. There is a backstory to this character, but right now it's still very nebulous and still needs plenty of threshing out. The main drawback to using this character is that, being something of an erudite wandering bard, he draws on a wide range of literature, ranging from Homeric ballads to Romantic poetry to twentieth-century science fiction, depending on what suits his needs. Top that off with an advanced knowledge of acoustics and suddenly you've got a heap of material to research to role-play just one character. I will get to this eventually, but not anytime in the near future.

Other names/titles: Sovereign of the Two Sicilies, High Marshal of the Meronian Legion

Appearance: Sturdily-built, with brutal yet elegantly defined facial features. Sports a short beard, sideburns, and close-cropped hair somewhat similar to Jeremy Irons'. Wears copper-plated steel armor and a velvet cape during military and ceremonial occassions, velvet robes over light armor during private and social events.

Innate abilities: Able to teleport spatially and temporally. Has excellent intuitive grasp of combat and non-combat strategy (e.g. economy, blackmail, manipulation). Can project unnaturally high charisma onto strangers.
Learned abilities: Increased control over teleportation abilities, to the extent where he can project his teleportation "bubble" onto objects and persons other than himself. Expertly trained in swordfighting and stealth.
Weaknesses: Extreme narcissism and overconfidence. Teleportation also has a high energy cost, and too much use of it can literally sap the living daylights out of anyone.

Equipment:
1) The Cape of Levity, as its name suggests, was crafted with the intention of imparting a light-hearted, flighty attitude in its wearer. And quite literally, as whoever drapes it over his back finds himself suddenly able to float and fly great distances, spouting horrible puns and lame jokes all the while. In Retano's case, however, the cheeriness never kicked in - probably due to his incorrigible arrogance - and he was gifted instead with a whopping +10 bonus in sardonic humor, placing him on almost equal levels with the acutely acerbic Edmund Blackadder of British broadcasting fame and giving him the higher ground on both the physical and verbal battlefields.
2) The Icon of Saint Ounja (var.: Saint Pwnja) is a religious article in honor of the little-known Polish saint, designed to be worn around the neck like a scapular. Said to be indestructible, the icon has the power to override the universal Law of Conservation of Energy for a few minutes (including temporal constraints), allowing the wearer to summon vast amounts of mass and energy for a short span, thus turning the battle to his advantage. The icon is said to be cursed, and a single use can attract hordes of Special Supervisory Angels to its location with the sole intention of destroying it. The icon runs on renewable energy and is voice-activated by the name of its saint, Ounja Sakasz.

Weapons:
1) Blessed by such people as the Pope, the Patriarch of Constantinople, the King of Aragon, and the old Old Man of Sicily (before he was replaced by the new one), the Retano Shield of Solidarity offers its bearer complete immunity against such varied assailants as heretics, infidels, Jews, Muslims, Turks, peasants, wombats, and brimstone. The shield, which bears the Retano coat of arms, is constructed from an accidental alloy now lost to history, making it unbelievably tolerant to heat, impossible to rust, electricity-repellent, and an effective barrier against wind and blobs of earth - yet virtually impossible to replicate. Despite its seemingly adamantine properties, the shield is just like any normal shield in that repeated blows will eventually wear it down to the point where it can only function as a fancy lunchroom tray - unless those blows were delivered by heretics, infidels, Jews, Muslims, Turks, peasants, wombats, or malevolent sulfuric entities.
2) Meronian legend has it that in the olden days of the eleventh century, when the Duchy of Mettrini was still an infant nation playing dress-up, the then-duke Brutus the Brutally Brutal commissioned the renowned blacksmith Ser Pinsci of Palermo to forge him a sword of limitless strength and zero weight, capable of slicing into an enemy's chest and dicing his bowels into little chopped bowel-bits without any part of it having to be taken out again. Realizing this would be his ticket to immortality, Pinsci agreed to the commission and undertook what was to be his life's work: the Sword of Ser Pinsci. The sword was constructed from seven separate pieces of the finest Damascus steel - forming the shaft were six squares, each of them following the same pattern of being subdivided into nine equal squares and the central one removed (which was then repeated for the remaining subsquares ad infinitum), while the tip was a singular triangle, fashioned from an equilateral triangle subdivided into four equal equilateral triangles with the central one removed, the process being then repeated for all the remaining triangles ad infinitum. Upon receiving it, Brutus tested the sword on its hapless creator, and was pleased to see it passed muster with its disemboweling properties. He was not, however, as amused with the weight of the handle, remarking that a weightless sword had to be completely weightless in all its parts, and using that as an excuse to further disrespect the body of the blacksmith. The Ser Pinsci Sword can catch and retain electricity within its "compartments", and can direct that captured energy in another direction. It also serves as a handy but quite dangerous handheld fan.

Personality: Gaspar Retano is, to put it briefly, not a nice guy. Ruthless and manipulative, he will resort to any means to further his and his duchy's interests - except those involving sacrificing himself. Two-faced and treacherous, he prides himself on his impeccable breeding, yet does not hesitate to express his utter contempt for commoners and nobles he considers to be lesser than himself, who all know him by the hundred or so vulgar Latin words for the male... organ. He has a tendency towards sarcastic comments, a preference which betrays his sharp and decisive thinking, and will not hesitate to cut down others with his words, just for fun.

Name: Pelleas Canor
Age: Exact age not known, but appears to be in his late 20's.
Gender: Male
Height: 6'5"
Weight: 160 lbs.
Race: Human
World of origin: Alterra

Appearance: Pelleas wears a simple grey hoodless robe with a matching sash and some leather sandals. He has a tall, lean figure, bordering on being underweight. Pelleas has shoulder-length black hair and dark grey eyes. On his right arm, there is a black marking resembling a firey demon, indicating his pacts with such dark spirits.

Because I can't draw well, here is a fairly accurate Tektek depiction of Pelleas. The hair's supposed to be shorter and the robe's too long for the marking on his arm to be seen, but besides that it works.


Abilities: Pelleas has an almost encyclopedic knowledge of the arcane and occult and puts it to good use. He is what would be classified on Alterra as a warlock, one whose magic stems from extraplanar creatures - elementals, demons, spirits from other planes of existence, and the like. Pelleas is a powerful summoner, able to call forth many of said creatures and command them with ease. Some of these he can summon quickly and with no trouble, like most elementals and lesser demons. The bigger and nastier ones, however, usually require a ritual of sorts. He can summon spirits to do any number of things such as augument his physical abilities (e.g. enhancing his strength with demonic energies), wreak havoc with magical attacks, and more.

Pelleas can use magic on his own without a summoned spirit, but the spells he casts without this aid are mere parlor tricks compared to what he can do when calling upon extraplanar forces. He is usually limited to garden-variety magic missiles, small lightning bolts, personal shields, and whatnot.

Like any spellcaster, Pelleas will suffer from various ill-effects if he overexerts his magical abilities - summoning too many creatures or one that is excessively powerful/unruly would do this. At the least, he will be fatigued or suffer a headache. At the worst, he could go into a coma or die instantly from the stress on his body, mind, and soul. Oh, and the demon could kill him if he loses control of it, too.

(If you've read any of the books from the Bartimaeus trilogy, you'll probably better understand what I'm trying to say here.)

Equipment:
- A longsword, which he can use with some skill, though not to the extent of one who has practiced for years with swordplay. The sword's blade is made of hylion, a rare silvery-white metal that naturally gives off a powerful magical aura which also strengthens the metal. Because of this, the sword can harm ethereal creatures, even more so than it would harm a normal creature. Pelleas can summon and dismiss this sword at will.
- A Bag of Holding filled with various spell components for summoning.
Besides this, Pelleas carries little else.

Personality: At best, you could describe Pelleas as ambitious. At his worst, he's power-hungry and ruthless. He's not 'evil', really, but he isn't above getting vengence on those who try to harm him or using you to become more powerful. Pelleas is very intelligent and is unlikely to rush into something without a plan. When traveling, though, he finds it wise not to show his intelligence and skill when unnecessary, so as to not draw unwanted attention to himself. He likes to learn and obtain knowledge, particularly knowledge concerning magic and occult powers and whatnot. Pelleas also likes to travel, and often visits other nations and worlds in his personal quest for knowledge and power.
He's usually reluctant to trust others or even notice them, but he isn't indifferent to their plights. Pelleas tends to stay out of political matters and often refuses to serve the various rulers who ask for his service. However, sometimes he will help others out if he feels like it. If he finds a friend in you, you can be certain that Pelleas will be a powerful ally and will help you to the fullest of his power when possible. If he finds an enemy in you, though... well, you might want to hope he doesn't.

Bio: Little is known of Pelleas's past except that he's always aspired to study the arcane arts, admiring the power that comes with the use of magic. However, in most nations of Alterra, use of magic that isn't of divine nature is forbidden. Pelleas was not put off by this, though, and traveled to many places searching for any sort of arcane lore that would help him become a powerful mage, picking up whatever he could find. After obtaining the means to travel from one world to another, Pelleas left Alterra entirely to explore the multiverse. He eventually found Wotchia and, though not a permament resident, visits every so often.

I have other characters besides Pelleas, who is my newest one, but it's unlikely that most of them would be introduced here because most of them are wrapped up in RPs on other forums/chatrooms and so I would probably break continuity for them if I bring them here. That and I wanted to start with something new.

Now this looks fun. I made this guy up a long time ago (and he's going to be one of the three stars of my comic idea)
I'm going to copy and paste the info for you guys from gamespot (where I made him up). He is from an excellent fan fiction created by another gamespot user, it is called Naruto Chronicles, which takes place 50 years after the events of naruto. I made a couple of tweaks to the bio to make it fit better.


Name: Kaito

race: human

Age: around 20

height:average (I can't really think of one, if it has to be one, I'd say somewhere between 5 foot nine and six feet.)

weight: fairly light

kekkai genkai: kyutou norybou, allows the person who posseses it to materialize weapons out of thin air for use in combat and allows almost instant weapon adaptibility and proficiency, it also allows the user to dematerialize weapons that they materialized.

Personality: thinks things through yet is hard headed and likes action, can sometimes be impatient, has a sense of justice, but not to an extreme extent, is fairly cool headed.

Bio:

This male holds amazing latent power and a knack for using almost any type of weapon, prefers physical and thrown weapons, but will use just about whatever he needs. An expert at Jutsu, he has astronomical reserves of chakra. Often uses his Kekkai Genkai to surprise foes. Extremely agile and highly adaptable, great at stealth and stealing stuff. Even though his Kekkai Genkai allows him to materialize any weapon he wants, he is also great at physical combat, his favorite weapon is an oversized sword (think cloud from ff or Ichigo from Bleach) that has powers that even he doesn't know of. also has astounding accuracy.
he also doesn't know why he posseses his kekkai genkai and he doesn't know his ancestery or where he comes from, basically, his very early past is a mystery, even to him, plus, if he gets really really really peeved at you and you are fighting him, RUN AWAY AS FAST AS YOU CAN! When he gets ticked off, well the best way I can think of to describe it is the result ofwhenever naruto's seal weakens when he's really angry, it's kinda like that, bust a whole lot worse for the person who ticked Kaito off.

Kaito's jutsu list:

Kaito has unusualy high chakra and fire and wind tequniques take almost no effort.

Pheonix Flare: Like an advanced chidori, but with fire, flame wraps Kaito'shands allowing him do do dazzling and powerful attacks, the flames are so intense that his arm can act almost like a blade, Kaito has such mastery of this move, that he can use it on any of his limbs (for flaming kicks etc) and keep it up for a while, he can even extend the flame to his weapons without damaging them, not that damage would matter when you consider his kekkai genkai. This is one of Kaito's signature jutsu and he finds it surprisingly easy... even though other ninja have a very hard time with it, often, when someone other then kaito tries to use this move, they burn themselves beyond repair, and yet kaito isn's harmed at all when using it, neither do his clothes burn...

Wind cutter jutsu: Kaito changes the wind currents around his body dramatically decreasing wind resistance and thus increasing his speed excessively, can also use it to make a vacuum around his hands or weapons thus making them able to cut better. Kaito often uses this in combination with the electric sense jutsu and heat sense jutsu to pickpocket and steal. Not that he isn't already good at that.

Electric sense jutsu: sends out a small undetectable electric pulse similar to echolocation, used to sense electrical fields and such, Kaito often uses this to find out what people have in their possesion (for example money, treasure, weapons, etc) or where people are, thus making it easier to steal from them. However, it is rather unreliable and gives only a vague picture

Heat sense jutsu: Kaito can easily pick up heat and practically has thermal vision when he uses this jutsu.

Grand theft: Basically Kaito's embarrasment jutsu (Embarassmet jutsu meaning something like naruto's sexy jutsu or harem jutsu) yet a bit more useful than most embarrasment jutsus. Kaito does a multi shadow clone technique and combines that with the wind cutter technique, and then at high speed literally steals everything that the enemy has on them, their money, their weapons, even their clothes.

Pheonix explosion: Kaito materializes a large amount of flaming caltrops (known as makibishi in japenese)around him and then, with an blast of fire, scatters them in all directions at high speed, not only do they seriously injure whatever they hit, they also make the surrounding terrain (including walls, trees, and the ground) extremely hazardous. If you don't know what caltrops are, you might want to look it up.

Pheonix wing: Kaito recently discovered to his surprise,that if he concentrates chackra on his large sword in the right way, it spreads out into a large razor fan, the same thing can be done to change it back into a sword, Kaito himself doesn't know how it works, and after he found out, he carefully inspected his sword, but could find no seams or other way that the sword could do that.... In any case, Kaito preffers to use his sword, but when he does use the fan, he uses it for blocking wide non physical and non weapon based attacks, for flight (which he still needs to practice) by controlling air currents, and offensively, he can either throw it like a deadly boomerang and have the wind bring it back, or he can use his pheonix flare to coat it in flames, and then swing the fan releasing large waves of intense flames.

fire clone: similar to the shadow clone but with some important differences, the clones are made of intense concentrated flame, but it is contained using chakra in such a way, that it appears to even have the same body heat as kaito, they also have physical form due to a layer of chakra, it is even possible to touch them without buruning yourself! however, if an object or attack penetrates the layer, the flames come rushing out, or cause the clone to explode

Equiptment:

Kaito can use his kekkai genkai to create weapons (and recently armor and shields) out of thin air, this doesn't use chakra unless he makes weapons out of unusual elements (for example, in Kaito's battle during the chuunin exams, he used up chakra by materializing weapons made of earth) however, kaito does have two special weapons.

Large sword: Kaito knows neither this weapons history or orgin. It is rather large for a sword, yet kaito can wield it easily with one or both hands. The weapon is made out of an unknown alloy and is not actually created by kaito, it is however infused with his chakra, thus he can materialize and de materialize it. It has multiple unkown abilities, currently, kaito knows of one, despite the sword being seamless and of a normal thikness, kaito can use jutsu to unfold it into a razor fan.

Arm blade: a snap out blade (similar to the one Jing from king of bandits jing uses) that kaito wears strapped to his right arm, hidden under his sleeve, it is made of the same material as kaito's sword, and like it, is infused with his chakra, he can use small pulses to snap the blade in and out, it is of unknown orign, Kaito stole it from an art collector shortly after yuu's death. It seems almost as if it was made by whoever made kaito's sword...

He also has some secret equiptment, such as the sword he's named Zentetsu.

Heat sense: Basic ability to detect heat, not as powerful as Kaito’s, but still useful.

Electric sense: ability to detect electrical and magnetic fields, much more powerful than Kaito’s

Thunderbird strike: Basically, an electric version of the phoenix flare, at first glance, appears to be a chidori, yet it is electricity, not chakra, one way to tell the difference is the fact that the thunderbird flare lacks the chidori's signature sound.

Thunderbird storm: A rather unique jutsu/finishing move that has two steps, the first involves touching the opponent, changing the majority of their electrons to a specific charge, Then, she materializes multiple weapons around the opponent, each with the opposite charge, thus, the weapons fly towards the enemy and give them electrical shocks at the same time, due to the nature of this attack, it works best when performed while the opponent is in midair, otherwise, the weapons aren't guaranteed to go towards the opponent.

Electrons: Kazehime can at a touch, temporarily rearrange or change the polarity of something’s electrons to an extent, thus giving the target an extreme static charge, or a temporarily extremely powerful magnetic field. Can also use this to move and electrify some metals from a distance, but more like a Jedi retrieving his light saber than Magneto hurling cars.

Kazehime's equipment list:
Due to her Kekkai Genkai, she can materialize any weapon she wants, but she also has two preferred and unique weapons of note.

Whip Sword (unnamed): normally looks like a normal sword two sided sword, but via small pulses of chakra, she can separate it into a bladed whip, with the segments connected by a chord, they can also separate and go around fly around in a way similar to puppet master jutsu, controlled via wind and through the hilt.

Bladed boomerang: Can change shapes and size mainly between a normal boomerang with bladed edges, a shuriken, and a bladed disk. It also has a hidden chord that allows her, in addition to wind and puppet master jutsu, to control it from a distance, she can control the overall length of the chord via chakra, additionally, she can use minute amounts of chakra to make the chord razor sharp, allowing her to use it as a weapon as well.
Both of her special weapons are made of the same strange alloy as Kaito's.
Also like Kaito, she has some secret equipment.
Additionally, Kazehime is extremely adept at explosives, and, due to their versatility and effectiveness as ranged weapons, she uses them often, she uses all sorts including the classic spherical bombs, explosive tags, and numerous others.

Age: supposedly around 17 to 20...

Ability: Can control and grow plants to amazing effect. She also seems to be part plant, although you wouldn't know by looking at her. Her body is a bit unstable because of this, and she can manipulate it in multiple ways, including how much of her is plantlike, healing fast and sprouting thorns. She is naturally immune to most poisons, and can easily make poisons within her body.

Personality: childish, outgoing, ocasionally has strange mood swings. Can be very scary and sadistic. A bit messed up in the head.

Bio: This pink haired girl looks, and acts, like a little kid, however, she simply hasn't gotten a growth spurt yet. Se very recently woke up near a village with absolutely no memory of her past, all she can remember is various jutsu. She decided to call herself Rose, and doesn't let on to her amnesia very often, for fear that someone will take advantage of it, she does however, want to get her memories back. Not afraid to use her childish appearence to her advantage, she will eventually grow up into a full height woman. Due to her amnesia as well as other factors, she can have rather violent changes in mood. One moment she's skipping along and singing, then something sets her off and she's torturing somebody. People who are around her a lot begin to get a bit creeped out. This is partially due to her mental state, and partially due to some of the more disturbing things she can do with her body. She loves drinking, but she can only get drunk when she wants to, and even then, can immediately sober up.

Kyoko is a ninja too, but unlike Kaito, Kazehime and Rose, she is not Naruto universe style. I literally dreamed her up. She is possibly my most random character. Actually, she is my most random character at the moment. This profile looks a bit vague to me at the moment, so I'll probably update it later. Yes, I know she kind of lacks a backstory, that's one of the problems with characters that you dream of, there's always something missing that you need to fill in. I had to fill in the name and I still need to come up with more details. I expect it to be easier to write more about her once I've rp'd with her a bit.


Name: Kyoko Igasu

Gender: Female

Appearance: Long black hair. Extremely attractive, especially in the chest area. Bunny ears and tail

Height: Moderately tall, especially if you include the ears

Weight: Never ask a woman her weight, especially Kyoko (she's actually fairly light)

Abilities: Disregard for and ability to distort physics and reality. Very good hearing. Very fast, agile, and good at running and jumping. Amazing reflexes. Can copy almost any move or technique that strikes her fancy, the approximate limit is if she lacks the required body parts (such as tentacles etc). Though a part of her body, her rabbit ears and tail tear off easily, but they regenerate quickly.

Bio: Kyoko is a ninja, an actress, and the general anime style rabbit girl. Does things her own, unpredictable way. She seems unaware of her constant disregard for the laws of physics and how she causes minor changes to reality. Generally, when she mimics a move or technique, it is one that she likes or finds interesting. She often gets the material from anime and manga. She will even go to the lengths to create weapons from those sources, but they don't always work as well as the originals. Although the weapons she makes can't always do everything the original could, she often thinks of new and creative ways to use them. Despite the fact that she hates perverts, in battle, she isn't afraid to use her appearance to her advantage. People are often bewildered by how carefree she can be, but she is often very likable. Aside from weapons she makes, she uses a katana (she <i>is</i> a ninja) and a wooden mallet (she <i>is</i> a rabbit girl) She is an Otaku to an extent, and is often working on her abilities and trying to come up with new things to try out.


Kaitou (aka kait0, presently trying to think of an alternate name to make things a bit less confusing.):

Appearance: same as Kaito, but slightly older.

Kaitou is an alternate dimension version of Kaito. He comes from a terrible alternate future where one corrupt government rules everything. Kaitou had used to be an engineer and street fighter, but he was kidnapped by government scientists. There, they experimented on him and made modifications in an attempt to make the ultimate soldier. Needless to say, they ****ed up. Right before they were going to (attempt to, they didn't realize that their method wouldn't have worked anyways) dispose of him, they lost control. Kaitou killed all of the scientists, then hacked onto the computer and downloaded all the science and engineering files before deleting them from the main computer. He then proceeded to destroy the lab and steal some experimental technology. Using his engineering skills, he modified the weapons and tech, partially using a special particle generating crystal he had invented, and began fighting the government. Then he fell through a dimensional hole. He is now a rather amateur planeswalker, although he doesn't have too much control over destination.

Kaitou is nearly indestructible, and heals with amazing speed. He is constantly aware of his surroundings. He has astounding reflexes, strength, speed and accuracy. He is constantly adapting, due in part to ************ and as of such, is likely to be far stronger after a defeat. He is immune to heat and able to radiate intense heat from his body.

Kaitou's main weapons are dual handguns. They are extremely customized and utilize the crystals he developed. They have numerous surprises and, although they fire normal ammunition, when they run out, they can fire condensed particle projectiles. He has more than just two of these, although anybody else would have an extremely difficult time using them for various reasons, including how powerful they are. The main distinguishing characteristic is a piece of metal extending from below the barrel to the base of the grip. Kaitou is able to fire these with amazing precision, speed, and accuracy. He is able to use them as if they were sniper rifles and is able to pull the trigger fast enough for them to function as "automatic" weapons.
Has an apparently indestructible bike where he keeps his gear. He uses a lot of beam based and high tech weaponry. It would appear that he can only make beam katana design blades (the type with a laser edge, not like a lightsaber) but then again, he doesn't like to start by going all out, so maybe..........

A friend of mine said that, in Poke'mon, selfdestruct and explosion are useless. I pointed out that they actually do a lot of damage. Also, a lot of muslim extremists would beg to differ.

Alrighty then let's give this a try. Prepare to be underwhelmed!

Name: Seriously Just Floyd

Age: 5 years

Species: Flora Sapien

Height/Weight: 6' 3''/ 247 lbs. w/o pots, 287 lbs. w/ pots

Appearance: Floyd appears to be an anthropomorphic tree of indiscriminate origin. He (or it) doesn't have conventional feet but roots. Since roots tend to make walking very difficult for Floyd they are permanently submerged in overly large garden pots, the kind that nobody can tell if they're orange or brown. The majority of his bark skin is covered in a thin layer of moss which has been carefully "sculpted" into a vaguely sweater shape. Aside from the random fungus, the sweater has no adornments. His hands are clumsily thick and each has a different number of twiggy fingers; his left hand has four fingers while his right has seven. Floyd's head resembles a stump with no "hair", at least for the moment. For some reason he actually has eyes and a mouth, both of which are little more than holes with openings that open and close. He has a tiny branch growing where he should have a nose, but it does not serve any olfactory functions.

Weapons: His fists! He can't handle handguns or rifles, and he just doesn't like choppy melee weapons.

Strengths: Good natural defense through tough skin. Flourishes in environments with little to no oxygen (photosynthesis). Very strong. Very durable.

Weaknesses: FIRE!!! Slow moving. Wilts if left without sunlight and water. Can't swim. Sometimes finds it difficult to work with technology due to the odd number of fingers he has.

Bio: Floyd was born from the seed of a tulip that was genetically altered by a crazed fan of Little Shop of Horrors. For the first three years of his life, Floyd refused to partake in his creator's 'Audrey training'. Since this area often seems the most active in the Wotch forums, I thought I'd throw my hat into the melee. Here's the starter character. I'll have another one shortly.

Makkus

Appearance:
While Makkus carries himself with a quiet and serene grace, his face is careworn, looking to be older than it appears. Forsaking the call of the Shattered Temple, he attempts to go through the normal world quietly. He normally wears a hooded black cloak and walks with a straight wooden staff, which shines with silver threads when used.

History:
Makkus under the shadow of his father, who was a high-ranking member of the Shattered Temple, a magical secret society bent upon guiding the world into their version of utopia. After years of grueling training, he became a master of the Element of Fire and the Element of Void. However, on his first mission, he refused to follow the orders of his Shattered Temple superiors and showed mercy to a group of militia fighting for their freedom. He was banished from the society and vowed never again to use his Fire or Void abilities, but train himself in the arts of Air and Matter to create a better life for all peoples of the world, both magic and Normal. During his travels, he befriended a small magical creature in the form of a black cat which he has named Truth, who now accompanies him regularly.

Abilities:

Various Air and Wind Related Combat Spells, such as concussive blast, which is a short, sharp burst of air.

Matter Shift: A rare and unique gift. Enlarges the molecules in certain forms of matter, allowing the user to alter the structure from the subatomic level. In combat, this is used primarily to shift the surrounding environment to create holes or falling debris as an attack or conjure walls or shields defensively. This ability is very draining however.

Magical Feedback: A combination of the various elemental powers, Magical Feedback allows the caster to gather hostile energies, focus and amplify them and then blast them back at a far greater level. The ability is easier to use at close range and becomes progressively difficult as the range increases.

The Eye of Truth: A unique ability of the creature Truth. Truth’s gaze can pierce the fabric of reality, seeing the alternate versions of life in this realm. This power can summon an alternate version of Makkus’ foe. The alternate version is compelled for a short time to fight by Makkus’ side, but as the multiverse is a complex thing, Truth’s gaze sometimes summons very odd alternates.

Equipment:
Armor of Allan’real: Enchanted magical glass armor able to enhance powers temporarily. Very resistant against most magical attacks based upon the four primary elements (fire, water, earth and wind). Other elemental forces have varied effects.

Staff of Therobelin: An ancient relic from a parallel universe, the Staff of Therobelin serves as a powerful focus element for a caster’s powers. Inherent within the Staff is a form of lifestealing which energizes the caster with the target’s life force by a small amount whenever a spell is cast.

Alignment: Chaotic Neutral

Appearance: Characterized by her shock of red hair, brilliant green eyes and wicked smile, no man in their right mind would approach Jackie lightly. She wears a dark red top, a tight leather jacket and black leather leggings at all times, all of which are actually advanced armor and weapons units of her own design. Melded into the jacket is a flexible metallic utility sling which connects around her front in the form of a silver belt.

History:
Jackie is the product of years upon the Hyperion Armada, a ragtag fleet of aging trading vessels flitting around the galaxy. Abandoned at an early age, she found work on one of the machining vessels under the chief engineer as a conduit rat. In return for her dangerous work, the engineer taught her everything he knew about mechanical trinkets, defensive technologies and destructive tools. She escaped the Armada at the age of 23 after being caught stealing the Armada Admiral’s prized collection of digital furry art.

Equipment/Abilities:

Multirocket Salvo: Built into each sleeve of her jacket are two small replication-based launchers tied into the powerpack built into the utility sling. At the flick of a wrist, Jackie can fire several different forms of rockets, including explosive, energy encapsulation, homing and EMP.

Jetjump: Jackie’s boots contain a powerful antigravity burst device which allows her to leap into the air for very short periods of time.

Temporal Shift: Developed from a series of ancient data cubes stolen from the Grand Repository of Knowledge on Kepler IV, Jackie can shift her temporal signature just enough to speed up her response time. However, the equipment doesn’t always work as planned.
Plasma Brace: The interconnected armor in Jackie’s clothes can energize to create a shield of plasma, protecting her from any ranged attacks for as long as the powerpack holds out. The Brace cannot form when a physical object is blocking the forming area around her body, though Jackie can adjust the forming zone on the fly.

Unita Marital Arts: Shortly after leaving the Armada, Jackie fell in with a group of mercenaries based upon the Unita homeworld. They taught her their form of martial arts, based upon using the entire body as a weapon with speed and precision, especially designed against larger targets. She achieved the rank of Submaster before she robbed the entire mercenary team blind and jumped out of the system.

Engineering Symbiosis: Jackie’s unique training and experiences have given her the ability to interface with almost any advanced technology quickly and effortlessly. Within the utility sling is a series of spatial pulse units which allow her to access computers directly from her mind, effectively expanding her mind into the machines.
