So, I think this is more of an actual fan art, but it's very sketchy:



It's... Well, it may turn into an actual picture later, but at the moment it's kinda bleh. But, bleh as it is, it makes me feel justified in starting this thread, so... It's worth something?

You really didn't need the clarification there. You draw really well and it's highly unlikely anyone would not be able to tell the subjects of your art.

Good grief, JediMB, you have a frighteningly awesome memory!

If I were as keen as you, they probably would have been Grace's Claire/Clark glasses. When I was drawing the picture, however, I was thinking of Tedd's glasses and the time when Grace was playing around with them. To be terribly honest, I think I was stretching for props that might have been readily recognizable. I am awful. I also kinda like to think that glasses are kind of an "intimate" item, without being too"intimate". Urm, it kinda felt like it pointed to something that Grace had them but not in too suggestive of a manner. But, I guess, no real reason, David, besides me being a hack.

But yeah, hopefully, my next few pics will be less random. And perhaps better researched. Thanks again for the replies.

(Eep, I know what you mean. Dontcha just think that a sketch sometimes feels more, erm, organic, more alive than a finished pic? Pencil tests for animation always seem to move me more than the polished end products.)

And the fangs.... and stick arms.... all quite creepish touches. Nice!

I'm looking and looking, trying to figure out what it is about it that stops it from being as scary/creepy as it should be.

Focusing only on her face, I think there's still something about how she's drawn that makes her... almost cute, despite the creepy eyes. I think it's the shape of her jaw. Other than that, I suppose her pose is a little off from the creepy territory, just dipping into general cuteness instead.

I'm somewhat desensitized to creepy/disturbing things, though, so maybe I'm totally off.

No, I think you have the right of it, for the most part. It's a hard line to straddle, cute and creepy. Unfortunately for me, my sensiblities tend to stray towards the cute (my gosh, the cute fight you and Tricia had in the last story thread nearly killed me with kawaisa! I swear, I nearly "aww-ed" myself to death.) , so I don't know if there's much for it.

It might not be frightening, but you can't deny that it's creepy.... was what I was going to say, before I saw that CyberMaroon had said basically the same thing. So now I'm just gonna say that it's well made, though the neck is really small, especially compared to the body.
