Capricornamy.... it's generally advised to edit the quotes in your post to only include the portion that you're replying to. If it's obvious who you're replying to, it's probably better to leave the quote tags out entirely. Generally, if the quote is significantly larger than your reply, there's something wrong, though countless exceptions doubtless exist.

Also, while this may be just personal opinion... I prefer to see the quote at the top of the post, with the response underneath it. I also prefer it when images are edited out of quotes containing them (I do this by replacing the [img] tags with [url] tags.

Now, regarding the 3D render... I can't honestly say I like it. It may be nice in itself, but it really bears only a passing resemblance to Jeannie.

Or maybe I just transcended the science of spelling, and now am on a plane of a higher etymology. Or I'm just a nimrod. Either way.

For example, one of the battlefields might be occupied by the skeletons of a red dragon and a few adventurers, while another might contain a Really Monstrous Duck and The Czars Of Nonsensical Effluvia.

That means that there is mold growing in your art program's color picker. Dip it in a photo of bleach.

I will try my friend ... as to the pc render, my friend Jay Petto made the render for me using my avitar after seeing this comic strip.
I do hope Juno will do another of his excellent drawings showing both Nelly and Jeanie. :comradef_chibismile:

Look Daddy! I colered a picsure! Can I manganent it to the frigrator?

This is my first computer coloring ever. My crude shading effects would not have been possible without my Bamboo Fun tablet, or without the GIMP. 2.6.7.

Thanks to guno for his very fun, and very clean line art, which I could not possibly have pulled off on my own; and to CD Rudd. If either of you have a problem with my posting this derivative work, let me know and I'll take it down.

I put guno's shading onto a separate layer in GIMP, because I prefer color shading and believe the hatching just muddies up the art. No quarrel with the original B&W, that's just the way I like to do coloring.

Guno, one question: There's a triangular shape behind Neil's head over his right hand, the one he's resting his head on. What is that, his shirt collar?

I used strips 0002, 0003, 0049 as color references. Interestingly, GIMP's Select-by-Color tool says Neil's eyes and the darker portions of Jeanie's skin are the same shade, with a tolerance of 15.

If anybody wants my XCF file with somewhat cleaned up artwork (no shading) let me know.
Yeah, I pretty much take webcomics way too seriously.

Guno .... please, pretty please, do a drawing of Nelly and Jeanie.

Thanks Amy! (I assume you quoted my post in approval.)

Note that you can edit your post to delete the IMG tags:

which will just leave the raw HTML link for reference, rather than re-displaying the picture.

[And, dang it, I intended to edit this post, not reply, but I'm not allowed to delete the duplicate below. Dang it!

Yes, but as most of the time ... technology hates me, and it went kablooy lol I do love what you did with Guno's drawing, and I do hope she does one with both Nelly and Jeanie ... her work was fantastic!

Great colouring of the picture. I think the shading came out well.
Blackadder: Marvelous thing, democracy. Look at Manchester: population, 60,000; electoral roll, 3.

Thanks for the encouragement!

Guno really needs to feed me more lines to play with now.

I also hope Guno is still thinking of doing the Nelly and Jeanie drawing ... it is a fantastic work!
I wish I may, I wish I might, my first wish, I wish tonight ... I wish Guno would do another drawing, this time of Nelly & Jeanie together (:^>)
