Don't forget that the turtle she's fuming at is directly connected to the one the size of an island which she is currently riding upon. I don't think pissing off the very ground beneath her is a good idea.
She agreed to this quest before joining Chrys on the turtles back, so she has to accept the consequences and do what needs to be done. Preventing Chrys from becoming slime chow is a reasonable step.
