I've finished outlining from this sketchbook entry, 2010-05-06. Can't quite get the expression right.
Anyone know what font Dan uses? (I think I read somewhere that he made specifically it for EGS but I can't remember. If I knew and had it, it would have saved some time tracing the letters.)
Oh well. sleepy time, colouring it in tomoz. (Anyone got a good reference for Thor's colour scheme, if not I'll just use the image on wikipedia).

And now, in colour.
I think it turned out well for my first colouring. (Still like to fix the hands and expression but that's not going to happen).
If anyone wants for avatar etc. feel free, first in best dressed.

Now that I look at it, the dress/armour (drama?) is very snow white, oh well, I guess snow white and Thor have the same colour sense.

I think it's neat. :)

And don't worry too much about the little flaws, everybody have to start somewhere.
Make more, and see if you can do better - That's the life of an artist.

Next up - Shading ?

That does look pretty cool. Great colouring.
Blackadder: Marvelous thing, democracy. Look at Manchester: population, 60,000; electoral roll, 3.

I don't think my artistry levels are high enough for that. (Just a bit more grinding and I might give it a go).

Gotta start somewhere - And it's fun too.
Also you doen't have to show off your first shoddy attempts. ;)

Start off with something simple.
Also, there's lots of art related tutorials out there on the 'net.
