The only way that would work is if Blaike had a girlfriend and/or wife with whom he had a child with, before he meet Pandora.

Surely Blaike could have other relatives.  Though chapter is called Sisters Three.  And on the time gap, we already have a human character that old who is still alive.  Admittedly he's spent most of the intervening years as a statue, but still.

    ... unless it's hereditary :)

Which it may be.  Given that monster hunting is very definitely something that runs in families in this setting, Blaike's career seems to open a whole new set of possibilities on just how Raven might be related to various members of the main cast.

following the supposed theme I'm reading into in Dan's taste, Try the Nightside series by Simon R. Green. They get a bit formulaic after a couple Novels, but they're still pretty good.

But there are no magicians named Harry in those are there?

Hm, perhaps the Incomplete Enchanter (de Camp and Pratt).  That's about a magician named Harold, maybe close enough.  I think there is some overlap with de Camp's sense of humor too.

While not a series, I thought Ready Player One was pretty good, and probably right up Dan's alley.

Probably a good choice.  I'd also note there is a lot of integration between video games, anime and manga and light novel series in Japan, including quite a few novels (and/or games) *about* video games and/or manga artists.  I think both the Sword Art Online and Log Horizon light novels have gotten licensed English translations in the last few years....

To be honest my reading of him is limited to Chronicles, which put him in my "don't read any more" list.

That's true for a lot of people.  All of Donaldson's stuff has some of that psychological flavor that also seems to be the hallmark of "serious literature", and he likes bleak settings, but not all of his characters are as damaged and unlikeable as Covenant or Avery.

Well, now I have to read it.

The "everything/nothing" part is probably wrong though.  Donaldson is one of those writers whose reputation - good or bad - is almost always drawn entirely from one of his works (in his case the Chronicles of Thomas Covenant).  Some of this other stuff is so different that it's hard to see how anyone could have the same opinions of both.  I personally really disliked most of the Covenant books, but some of his other work was pretty enjoyable, and I'd actually recommend his short story collections - Daughter of Regals and Other Tales, and Reave the Just and Other Tales.

That's also possible, and given the ( granted non canon) way that referee Ellen was looking at male Nanase in the soccer sketchbook series, that might work as well.  Down side of that is it would make it look like Tedd was the donor (given that Nanase doesn't have a brother and Tedd is the closest male relative) and the child is going to look like he or she has genes from Nanase's family, that might be an issue.

Why?  How often have you looked at a kid, thought (s)he had the wrong genetic looks, and asked about it?  It's not something that comes up a lot and "None of your business" (or "How dare you") makes a perfectly socially acceptable answer for anyone who isn't so close you could trust them with the truth.

The bird's name is Ganymede and is really just a cosmetic feature. Various skins will use a different bird, one has a Blue Jay, another a Cardinal  for instance. Victory poses, emotes and highlight intros feature the bird as well. If you want an actual functional companion pet, Mei is the one you're looking for, her's is part of her ultimate ability.

Clearly the game needs an expansion pack to let you play as the bird.

I'm seeing it too, but only in the last panel. Maybe it's part of Dan experementing with his drawing process?

Or Sarah is experimenting with a wider hips morph.  Side benefit of giving your comic characters shapechanging technology - you always have an excuse for drawing them off model.

  10. At least part of the reason Ashley comes across so nice is that Susan had already seen through Tom.  If she hadn't, well, jealous ex-girlfriend trying to mess up her ex's future relationship starts doesn't come across as a particularly nice person, even if she later proves to be right.  She does seem to be a nice person, and to have a case of the same compulsion to save others Elliot suffers from, but even in the little we've seen she has character flaws.

Um, in this case, I made it up in college while I was studying those subjects.  PChem especially sealed the deal.  It is, however, an obvious enough progression that it is quite likely it's been independently created, in various forms.

Lots.  Famous variants include Ernest Rutherford "All science is either physics or stamp collecting" and Terry Pratchett "Geography is just physics slowed down, with a couple of trees stuck in it.”

I though the reason videogames are not constantly pushing the boundaries is that they run out of places to push them to.

Certainly in Japan.  Though I don't *think* there is a Fallout eroge.  Mainstream releases in the US do seem a lot tamer.
