    Personal theory is she's using her power and the connection to hijack the Reset process in order to actually remain herself through the change.  

    It'd be less of a Reset and more of, I dunno....  Oooh, we can use the word Regeneration, I bet!  

    Say, is that a demonic duck in a funny blue box over there?

    From how Voltaire told Sirleck about Raven, it looks like he let Sirleck assume that Raven is the offspring of either Helena or Demetrius.  He definitely left out mentioning Pandora at all -- and of course, none of the other immortals are aware of Jerry being in the mix.  Voltaire seems to be setting Sirleck up for a fall, presumably via Pandora (and may also be setting her up for a forced reset as well).

    So I'm officially in love with Persona 5; Atlus' goofy theatrics regarding streaming & let's play vids notwithstanding, it is simply one of the best JRPGs to hit in a long time.  If you're familiar with the Persona series, all of the mechanics and gameplay will be comfortable to slip into.  It's a coherent, fully realized package where every element of the design serves to pull you into its motif of rebellion and trying to change the world for the better.  

    I would recommend the free download of the Japanese vocal track, but that's driven more by how much the pronunciation of some of the character names in the English version bothers the oxen exhaust out of me....

    And suddenly certain things click, like one reason I like Elliot so much.  In him, I see a small reflection of my son.

     

    A story, by way of explanation:

    My son is 19.  Lives with me now, but when he was living with his mom, there was a girl he dated towards the end of middle school.  That ended when her folks moved her to another school precisely because they (being pretentious religious jackasses) didn't approve of him.

    High school comes along and he finds himself back in the same school as her.  By this time, she's started to try to sort out identity issues and has a fairly serious girlfriend.  To my son, this is no big deal; the only part that weirds him out at all is that he is the one his ex comes to for relationship advice, and being a friend he listens.  I got the impression he may have been one of a very few who did that.

    Advance a couple of years.  My son's ex is still with the same girlfriend (partly due to having my son as a good listener), but has realized that he (here's where I'm changing pronouns) is trans.  Again, my son doesn't bat an eyelash; he just goes on supporting his friend.  

    So the last panel on today's comic  -- that hits home in an unexpected way.  A good way.

    Well, no, but if he's motivated enough or ticked off enough Elliot can be absolutely terrifying.  The only thing that would keep him from trying to intimidate Magic Itself if it ever changes enough to hurt Tedd is not knowing how in the heck to even start.

    This is only the Monday after the date with Ashley; the only possible chance Tedd would have had to mention the mark was when everyone was talking with Mr Verres in the aftermath.  And, well, no way in hell would Tedd have wanted to discuss that in front of dad....

    Nah, the ends of her sleeves are going to become oversized kitty paws, her hood will be up of its own accord, and only her (glowing) eyes and a grin will be visible.  

    Rhoda obviously plays BlazBlue and is turning Kitty into Taokaka.

    So, Noah's dad was a Jerkass Victim* of Damien, then.  Is it just me or did others think "Vegeta??" at Damian's image?  Actually, my thought was "Noah's dad looked like Vegeta?  Oh, that's Damien...."

     

     

    *(TVTropes link would go here, but I feel guilty about making it easy for people to lose themselves there; this way there has to be intent.  Still feel some guilt over even putting the temptation out there.)

    Additionally, much of the danger there was due to Voltaire meddling with Dexter after she'd marked him and gone along her merry way.

    Also, I can't (quite) see Dan being willing to challenge some of the outfits in Diamond is Unbreakable.  Oddly enough, I could see Justin cosplaying as Polnareff.  Maybe even Dio.
