I think CEG's plan is a bit inefficient and needs a reordering. Something that moves the puppies a lot sooner, perhaps. That way he has more time to train them.

Edward is trying. In his ignorance, he came to an incorrect conclusion, and proceeding from that is why this problem has happened. But he's trying. It's less that he doesn't know about the responsibility he's not meeting, it's that he has an incorrect understanding of it which needs (well, to a large degree - it's not absolute) an external force to correct it. Sort of like Larry at the card game tournament.

Of course The Dan is under a bridge right now, so it will be a few days before we know one way or another.
We last saw her in Egypt, yes. Considering how quickly she seems to have gotten there in the first place, that is probably not an impediment.

I strongly suspect that the hand does not have talons so much as it has long nails. Meaning, I'm betting, either Pandora or some new Fairy we haven't met before.
