    What if The Will of MagicTM is working in a limited energy system?

    There are far fewer ways of creating magic energy that there are ways to burn it. What happens when you have a lot more people burning energy that you have ways to create it? That you eventually run off of energy. And if we add that TWoM may depend of that energy to just exist, then I see why it goes out of its way to keep a reduced number of users. Every time there are more people burning energy that energy is produced, it has the danger of dying, so he changes the rules about what can burn magic energy, buying itself time to replenish it, and going back to a sustainable number of magic users.

    I don't know how many immortals are out there and how long they have been (having no end doesn't mean they don't have a beginning), but I would be quite surprised there weren't more cases like Pandora's during humanity story.

    You're new around here, aren't you? First because you thing readers are only invested in the main 8 (just reading the fora tells otherwise), and second because you seem to have no patience with webcomic time. Please, don't talk as if you represent or know the point of view of all or most readers of this comic.

    So I guess this game does not have non-lethal weapons, like tranquilizers of some sort. Not that it would not create iffy situations too...

    "Don't look at me! They shouldn't be driving motorcycles while sleeping!"

    "What do you mean I shouldn't tranq people that are next to a cliff? They'll be fine, the sea is down there. 100 meters is nothing, I've climbed steeper staircases."

    This reminds me that I still have my Diamond game with about 10 or 20 pokémon left to full completion (5 or 6 not counting event-only pokémon). It's the closest I've ever been to complete a Pokédex and it's satisfying and infuriating at the same time. Ugh.

    I think @ProfessorTomoe was doing that in the old forum? I think I remember getting my old avatar from a thread he made about it. Might be mistaking him with another user, though.
