I think it would be better to try kind words first before including a gun.

It's dangerous to go alone! Take this sword!

Here's a dream I had back when I was a university student:
I dreamed that I was at an exam for history, and I realised I didn't study. While freaking out, I slowly realised, "Hang on, I'm an accounting student. I don't have history classes in the first place!" It's about then I woke up.

If its regular enough, there could be a certain sense of comfort in its predictability.

I'd guess Mother Nature.

1 minute ago, Don Edwards said:In an old computer game I've been playing lately, there's this dragon who says that there's only one creature in the world that can threaten it, and wants me to go kill that creature.
If the creature can threaten the dragon, and I can kill the creature, am I not theoretically able to threaten the dragon?
(In the game, in fact, I am not - there are creatures I am incapable of attacking, period, and there are other creatures that will attack me. This particular dragon is in the former category. So far I've found only one creature in both categories, and none that are in neither.)
It's comparable to Rock-Paper-Scissors.

Doesn't really matter, actually. The point is that random things happen.

I'd say the last bit is creepy but I know google maps are a thing. I searched my house on it once.

Who built a secret underground base entrance in the lost and found?
Presumably demonhunter needed some sort of safe house when he rescues people taken by the Lost and Found.

...beyond that... ehhh.
Sounds too complicated a plot thread if you ask me.
