  1. Nothing like having an unstable, ancient being of unimaginable power as your mentor.

Yall are thinking too small with the dolls thing. It occurs to me that Tedd's watches and other various devices have the means to effectively, evenly, and safely disperse the buildup without catastrophic failure with the use of a distributed network that isn't reliant on exertion on the part of a person.

This seems a bit too easy, even after adjusting how long it'll take. Something is going to happen to interfere with this plan.

I mean, there is that other guy plotting his plot of plottiness

and there's still the matter of sirleck and how he relates to all this, in addition to the rest of those parasites hanging around moperville, plus whatever else is happening

Back when I did the math on Immortals, I came to the scary conclusion that there could be millions of immortals that have skipped the 200 year reset thing.

the even worse part is that there's more of them between shared dimensions and it seems likely that most of them have veered towards megalomania (albeit actually realized via magic), but only places like moperville have the potential to cause these huge issues because of mortal accessibility to magic

not much reassurance here considering all the converging plots

  3. In Fallout games, if you hack into a terminal connected to a lock, you can use it to unlock the container.

But if you hack the terminal, leave the controls alone, and then just manually lockpick the lock, you'll get more exp.

Likewise, if you manually lockpick the lock first, you can't then hack the terminal most of the time.

I doubt he'll try: To my understanding, Sirleck has preference for people with few attachments and little past history. Which makes sense as such things make it harder for others to ping to the fact that somethings different.

I'm guessing that Raven is too well known for that. This strikes me as him surveying a potential threat: Raven has a much broader authority to act when Magic is involved and the brain-jacking vampire likely counts.

In that context, I guess the plan makes more sense: have the old, rich, significantly smarter aberration go after one of the larger threats to the sinister plot to cover for the dumber, less calculating aberrations that would be easily taken out once Raven is aware of them.

Is that how the courier actually reacts?

this is benny's reaction more or less

sadly, nobody remembers who the Seduction Specialist was at the time of writing, so I can't figure out who to ask about everything that is wrong with this scene

  6. Okay, from what I've been told, there was one person in charge of all the "seduction dialogue" but they don't remember who did it because that game is pretty old.

However, what this DOES tell us is that there was, for a brief period of time, a Seduction Specialist on the staff.

  7. it would probably be for the best if they relayed that information to the authorities before attempting to address the issue

although there is the distinct possibility that a mole in the organization has been suppressing information about multiple vampires being active in the area, so they have to be careful

Nanase SMASH!  Yeah, she's got some unresolved issues regarding those two immortals, and I'd bet it's in large part due to what Susan went through in France.  Maybe even a wee bit of guilt on her own part; she was the one who was supposed to slay the vampire, but her being out of position meant Susan has blood on her hands.

Even though we're not likely to see it -- no danger at this point and such -- Nanase's simmering emotions here suddenly have me wondering if Fairy Doll form can go Guardian.  Sketchbook fodder, maybe?

wasn't the first time she transformed was when she swapped places with the fairy doll

i think using that power forces transference as part of the package

  9. At the end of the day, a griffin is still a lion bodied and sized eagle, and anything with that much claws and muscle combined with that much grip strength is usually more than a match for most mortal humans/equivalent human form abominations, especially those that basically act as parasites or scavengers; while dangerous, most of them aren't suited for extended direct confrontation and have to resort to quick and dirty methods such as bombs.

  10. I had fun in Iji (and even managed to beat that one incredibly annoying optional boss by that fight apparently not being a fight at all) but I sort of cheated in that playthough by figuring out that it doesn't count as a direct kill if they die by a detached flying turret whipping through the air at 100 mph

....Well that could be horrifically bad. Then the question is what role does magic have in the world other than overt magic use? How would extremes of magic effect things?

On the other hand. The flows of magic might eventually adjust, with more flowing through the other "drains" and eventually acting like there was never one in Moperville to start with.

Then it turns out that it was just going to turn into a supernova.
