  1. Aside from the things in Dan's linked to in the commentary to imply previous strange things, it should also be noted that they don't work for the government, or at least not the same agency as Edward, as he doesn't recognize them and is equally stranged out by their surprising acceptance of the situation.

  2. Part of my mind is telling me that this, given the context, could be a desire spell. Like, Kitty's magic unconsciously read Robbie's (as that is what i'm calling him now because he looks like the Gravity Falls character to me) mind and granted his wants at the appropriate moment in Kitty's recount.

I would love it if the Main 8 all pitched in for a place to share, Tedd and Grace could obviously share a room, Ellen and Nanase would share another, that would leave Elliot, Justin, Sarah and Susan.

Think we could find a slightly bigger house off campus and throw in Catalina, Rhoda, Ashley, Diane, and Psych Major Pandora?

I would watch the hell out of this sitcom.

Thus begins Sarah's descent into simulation addiction.

She will neglect school, work, friends, family, food, sleep, and hi gene to live in a reality of her own creation.

As for the Part Eight title, does this mean the story is set in a leap year?

What title, out of interest. Last I checked it didn't have one.

That seems really advanced and probably another spell altogether, though it might just be as simple as remembering how she set up a previous simulation and just willing a new snapshot to change to it.

Perhaps something Sarah could think about if she actually awakens then.

  6. Here's a thought I just had.

Can Sarah 'save' iterations of her internal "holodeck" or customize them to the extreme.

The obvious connotations of why someone would do that are lewd, so i'm going to leave that your imaginations and skip to the one I thought of next. Imagine that Sarah develops some kind mind-palace/important object storage place. Being able to save iterations, she slowly constructs this area out of pieces of other simulations she goes into, taking walls, floors, furniture and the like to create an ideal environment in which she can think clearly should she need to. Within this environment, she also stores image replicas of anything important the main cast comes across. Say for example they came across a macguffin that was split into multiple parts, but they couldn't take the piece they had with them for safety reasons, so Sarah makes a copy of it, so when they find the other piece, she can take a copy of that piece into her 'customised mindspace' and put them together manually to see if they connect.

Sorry, went a bit far with that. But seriously, Sarah being able to 'save' simulation instances would be an interesting concept.

It's a convention of lots of comics that they are set in the now. You just have to accept the changing technology and pop-culture references as part of your suspension of disbelief.

True, but if it were 'in the now', wouldn't the reference be to Gen 7 Pokemon. That said, Gen 6 wasn't that long ago so it wouldn't be a stretch, but I choose to stand by my own time logic on this matter.

  8. This comic gives me food for thought in regards to time setting/the timeline. Initially it was that this couldn't possibly be set in 2013 (or 2002) anymore because this is October, and I thought Pokemon XY came out in November.

But it actually came out in early October, so that really makes it being something that'd be in Ashley's immediate thoughts far more likely, since it just came out. I like to imagine that Dan did this on purpose to hint at setting (since the timeline on the wiki gives estimated years, partially due to my input), but who knows how often he actually looks at that thing.

It's a summon poop spell, and it's eventually going to be given to Rich.

Heh. I can see that, actually.

That being said, the aforementioned bottom left mark (that looks like a light and dark contrast, really), though abstract, does kind of remind me of a book, and even though this comic is just Elliot misunderstanding what Ashley meant, it is food for thought...

There is still the one on the lower left that no one seems to have a good idea about what it's supposed to represent.

To be fair that's still one of two marks of Pandora's that (I think) are unaccounted for, the other being that weird grey clump that I currently think looks like two people in some form of intimate embrace. If Pandora's attention has been drawn to Ashley, she could be revealed as either.

    Oh yeah!

My bet is on Catalina's mark coming up some way or another in this arc, too. I mean, the title can certainly have multiple meanings, and the commentary is a little teasing already...

What does the title for part 1, Legacy, stand for? Noriko?

No Tedd on the cover, but you never know.

Right ... soo, Elliot by Magus, Magus by Sirleck, Sirleck by Voltaire, Voltaire by Pandora. We have 5. Anyone can prolong to 6?

I like to think it's Elliot and/or Ellen, given past events.

Also, is it just me or is the cover not showing up when you go directly to the site via the address rather than the link. I'm assuming it's normal update delay, but still, it's a little odd to me.

Nah, the previous Sister arcs had some color comics, especially the first chapter.

As much as I am hoping that Diane will not have any powers by the time this storyline is done, I am bracing more for a looong duration of the comics altogether.

Actually, my thought on the color was simply to do with recent trends and not previous Sister arcs. Dan seems to find it quicker and easier to do non-color.

Also, agreed. We're in this for the long haul. Strap yourselves in.

And now in full Technicolor. Which is nice, considering the getups of the four.

I get the feeling it'll just be the covers though. Which is fine by me, as the comic is awesome regardless.

EDIT: Also, i'd assumed the 'catspaw', given what we've seen of previous arcs, is Elliot and/or Ellen to Magus, Magus to Sirleck and/or Pandora, or multiple of those.
