Welcome, everyone, to the new 910CMX Community Forums. I'm still working on getting them running, so things may change. If you're a 910 Comic creator and need your forum recreated, let me know and I'll get on it right away. I'll do my best to make this new place as fun as the last one!

Before I did my Daily Drawings, I would upload and announce my Saturday morning comic late Friday night. Now I wait until after midnight to make it official. I know to some of you it may seem dumb, but given how late at night some of my Friday Daily Drawings are, and the fact that I resolved to upload new pictures DAILY - be it my comic or my sketches or whatever - posting both in the same night seemed like a bit of a cop-out. Anyway, I fell asleep last night, so instead of a midnight post, you get a wee-small-hours-of-the-morning post. Hopefully, none of you are awake by the time I've posted this; I don't want anyone to think I skipped an update!
Anyway, Gelatin BOY talks with Belt BOY here, hence the title of today's comic. I'm not sure if they'll change their names to Gelatin Man and Belt Man when they get older; it admittedly doesn't have the same ring (And let's face it, "Barnacle Man" never stuck on SpongeBob...).
Gelatin Boy may be altering his shape in panel 2, but I assure you, his gelatinous form does not grant him super-shape-shifting powers. His appearance in this panel owes as much to him being a toony character as it does to him being made of gelatin. He can't stretch or morph himself at will to a significant (or at least not a helpful) degree with one exception: he can reform himself if something squashes him. GB's powers are pretty much defensive (although he sees them as pretty much useless).
Also, PLEASE ENTER MY FAN ART CONTEST! TIME’S ALMOST UP AND I WANT MORE ENTRIES

Hello?
in Grrl Power
You're not alone... but I don't think Dave knows about the website being rebooted.

For the record, Sugar Rush actually DID try to eat Gelatin Boy once. However, as he is part gelatin and part boy, he tastes like a mix of orange flavoring and sweat. Not appetizing at all.
The title of today's comic references an old interactive "Clickamajig" from Nickelodeon's website, back in the day (not sure if it's still around), in which you got to click on treats to give to adorable costumed children. Giving them caramels was always appreciated, but if you gave them black licorice, their eyes would grow large, and they'd sprout fangs or horns as they said - in demonic-sounding voices, I might add - "I don't like black licorice!"
The title for this comic is also for my best bud, Chris. He knows why. Hee hee...!
Anyway, have you entered my contest yet? You've got less than 3 weeks left!

Cannon respects Belt Boy... but his definition of "respect" still allows for a few practical jokes like this. And getting free food is the most practical application of practical jokes in his book!By the way, I'm reminding you that there's LESS THAN A MONTH LEFT in my fan art contest!I'm also reminding you that if you're not so great at art, that there's an avatar contest to see who makes the best avatar using a video game or online character generator (Like Miis, Sims, etc.).Remember, you must enter by or before my birthday on May 19th! Check out the rules on my main page and get to it! -
In panel #3, Enticia's referring to what took place in comics #305 and #306 (During the storyline "Even a Rose Has its Thorns"). I like the background for that panel, even though it's similar to something I did once for Comic #423 (Fight at the Museum), but my favorite panel has got to be the last one. I had fun playing with Manga Studio's tools to make a blur effect, and I think I pulled it off well. What do you think?P.S.: HAVE YOU ENTERED MY ART CONTEST YET?! -
There's some things that we just accept as being realistic within the laws of fictitious universes. For example, we accept that any character within the Looney Tunes universe can naturally be squashed and stretched, whereas doing the same requires superpowers in the Marvel universe. Sometimes we're aware that something is realistic only within the confines of fiction... other times, not so much (Just look at all the people who think that Twilight and most romantic comedies give a fully accurate portrayal as to how real relationships work).
With today's comic, I want to bring attention to a cartoon trope that people tend to overlook: the brainiac who knows EVERYTHING about science.
You know how in cartoons and comics, you'll come across brainy types whose scientific knowledge can solve pretty much any problem? Whether you need a computer hacked, a robot disassembled, a cure for were-lizard venom, a rocketship flown, or an anti-gravity device built... they can do it.
What truly makes this unrealistic isn't simply the science-fiction stuff they can do, but also the fact that they possess skills in every area of science... even those that aren't really closely related. Most scientists stick to one or a few "-ologies", be it biology, technology, geology, archaeology, zoology, etc. Yet somehow, the typical cartoon scientist is a jack of all trades, AND a master of all.
Belt Boy... not so much.
Belt Boy's knowledge lies mostly in designing, programming, and building technology; he built his utility belt, his lab, and B.O.N.N.I.E. with only some gruntwork assistance from Cannon to help him. Biology, on the other hand, is not as familiar a subject to him. He does know a bit more than most people, having studied it a bit to program Cannon's prosthetic hand. But his biological knowledge still isn't enough to make programming a DNA analyzer a quick fix, which is why he's still having trouble.
By the way, the title of today's strip and the cover of his book are gag references to strip #408, which was entitled "He Should Read 'Evil Rants for Pinheads'."

It's that time of year again! Well, almost. This is the last scheduled update of March, so I'm uploading my annual April Fools' filler kinda early.
For those of you who aren't familiar with HoC's annual tradition, Cannon pranks someone from a different webcomic each year for April Fools'. This year, he's pranking Carol and Reggie from the webcomic Between Failures. His prank is based on something that actually happened while I was working at a retail store; some dope pulled the store's fire alarm (which had been placed above a toy shelf), thinking that it was a child's toy. No harm was done, and we called the fire department to let them know it was a false alarm. Still, I couldn't help but glare at that moron as he asked his girlfriend to take a picture of him next to the fire alarm to commemorate his great moment of supreme idiocy.
Anyway, Between Failures is a great webcomic about the people who work at a Megatainment book store - their lives, their relationships, their dorky conversations, and their experiences working in retail. Fans have compared it to the movie Clerks, although the comic's creator, Jackie Wohlenhaus, likens it more to Empire Records. If you liked either of those, you'll probably enjoy this comic. And if you haven't seen either of those movies, you might want to rent them... but not before reading Between Failures. If you don't mind a comic with some swearing, sexual situations, semi-nudity, and one instance of extreme violence against a shelving unit, you can check it out at betweenfailures.com and give it a read! Let 'em know Josh sent you, and while you're at it, wish Jackie a happy 10th anniversary to his comic! :-)
Speaking of webcomics celebrating their 10th anniversary, don't forget that my comic is also turning 10 this year! And for a webcomic, the 10th year is the Fan Art Anniversary (Although, to be fair, my comic celebrates the Fan Art Anniversary every year!). Be sure to enter my contest if you haven't yet...!

I'm having trouble connecting to my websites server, so I wasn't able to upload my comic to the website, but I can still post it on social media. I'll letcha know if anything changes. [EDIT: I've managed to connect to the server and update my website again! Yay!] Sorry for such a late update!Anyway, today's comic was a fun one. If you're reading this comic on a phone or something where the letters on the safe are too small to read, they say "Max's Fears and Insecurities". My initial idea was to have some sort of metaphorical machine in Belt Boy's head, and I would show that Beatrix was literally "pushing his buttons". However, I liked the imagery of something being unleashed in the dark corners of his mind a bit better. I was going to even have some cloud of ominous negativity pouring out from the safe in the last panel, but it just didn't look right, so I decided to go with a simpler layout.
Don't forget, there are exactly TWO MONTHS LEFT in my FAN ART/AVATAR CONTEST! Click the button on my main page to read the rules so that you can submit your artwork or generated avatar and win my prize!

If you thought that my comic was gonna be less toony when I adjusted my artistic style, I hope that panel 3 has convinced you otherwise. If panel 4 seems uncharacteristically obnoxious for Belt Boy, this strip's title should explain where he picked up this "negotiation technique". I felt it necessary to explain this in the title - which is the only reason I didn't go with the much catchier alternative title: "Drop, Pop, and Roll".
Don't forget, you still have two weeks and one month to enter my totally awesome fan art contest! The contest ends on my birthday - May 19th - so be sure to enter by then. Fan art is one of my favorite presents to get! :-)

Hey everyone! Well, the forums are back!
... sort of...
You can read about how the forums went kaput, and how they're just now ka-putting it together again. It's all in Robin's announcement. It's looking pretty likely that my previous posts are lost. :-(
But never fear! We shall begin once again! And you'll find that most of my posts can be read on Tumblr, and even moreso on Facebook, so be sure to follow me on all social media! Facebook and Tumblr are also the only places where you can see my full commentary on my Daily Drawings, in which I post cool bonus art every day!
