Ashley threw Kevin at the golem while yelling "Get away from her!". Voltaire thought it was stupid for Ashley to try to save Elliot, but Ashley did save Elliot and she might have just saved Ellen because the golem was distracted long enough for Magpie to go to work.

It's like throwing things at over powered magical things is her skill.

  2. For reasons as yet unknown, my X windows setup has gone walk about. Every thing hangs if I try to do a normal lightdm startup. If I boot to a console and use startx every thing works just fine.

The question is do I just deal with it or spend several hours yelling at my computer trying to fix something that really is just candy on top any way?

Having had time to digest, it seems I owe Magus an apology. If he never intended to change Ellen without her consent, my anger against him loses most if not all of its basis.

Yeah, same here.  Still on the edge about him however.

Elliot's best stance is "Ellen chooses. I'll back her up, whatever it is.  You (Magus) do not get to choose for her.  If she wants to be a male, I am fine having a twin brother now.."

    This.  So much this.

And if Ellen does chose to be male, they simply swap who is going to what school and Elliot changes to Ellen for school reasons.  I can't see Ashley having a problem with that.

"Kentucky Fried Immortal" was one of many nicknames for Voltaire, based on his resemblance to Colonel Sanders, the mascot of fast food chain Kentucky Fried Chicken.

Yes.  That is who and/or what I meant.
