I once heard it described as 'a state of unresolved tension.' I am sure it is a great relief to the people it has so far gotten killed that they died in a state of unresolved tension and not in a war.

Which is bull. I remember that the hostages got freed on the very day of Ronald Reagan's inauguration. I was fourteen years old at the time and still smart enough to realize that there was NO WAY he could claim credit for that. For cripes' sake, he had just taken office. Years later I learned that Carter's diplomats had successfully negotiated for releasing the hostages, but then one of Reagan's people had gotten in touch with the Iranians and told them they would do something nice for them if they waited until after the inauguration before releasing them. In short: Carter successfully negotiated for their release. Ronald Reagan just got to claim the credit. Maybe he made some extra on the side by selling documents vital to the security of the US. I mean that should be OK, he declassified them with the power of his mind.

I am an anti-existentialist inverse solipsist. I believe that I am made up but that everything else is real.

I have just been informed by an angry online person that I am a RINO. I am not entirely sure how to feel about this. Not only are my political beliefs so far to the left that they would make Bernie side-eye me as a radical, but also I have never been a Republican, much less an American citizen so I could register as one.

My point of view is not trusting the propagandists. The 'Hero King' point of view was that of the King's apologists and monarchy supporters. The 'ran home with tail between legs' point of view belongs to historians I actually have some faith in, none of which were even Swedish.

We have a song about how our Hero King Christian the Fourth smote the Swede until his brow cracked in twain. Which is an interesting interpretation of 'the King got his ass kicked by the Swedes, got blinded in one eye and dashed back home in mortal terror.'

We just had a mass shooting in Copenhagen in a large shopping centre called Fields. I am posting here in case anyone here has already heard of it to let you all know that I am at home, safe and was nowhere near the shooting. I hope you are all safe, too.

I have been informed that it didn't count as a mass shooting at all because only three people died. I call bull. The shooter went into a crowded place and started shooting. I feel the number of actual deaths pales before the intent, which is of course to spread terror.

French movies. These get 100% outsourced to France. Of course they might also justifiably be argued not to be a vital industry.

My significant other just lost her shit at the TV while watching archaeology on the science channel. I was sitting quietly in the other room when I heard her yell at the TV. "DIE, YOU MORON! DIE!" I went to investigate and it turned out that the narrator was speaking of an ancient die from a game but called it 'a dice' she didn't actually want him to die, she was just offended at him confusing singular and plural then yelled, "I REFUSE TO WATCH THIS LEVEL OF STUPID ANYMORE" it seemed he had also offended her sensibilities in other ways then she switched to a true crime show "I AM GOING TO WATCH SOME NICE WHOLESOME MURDER" at that point I carefully retreated, wary of inadvertently calling her fury down on me O.O I love her but there are times it is far safer to leave her some room so she can calm down in peace.

I'm relieved. Hope all will be well.

I kinda figured. Ah, being trans has nothing to do with medical technology. It helps, but the real issue is your identity and acceptance (or lack thereof.)
