That is of course possible and I will say it would be a source of much hilarity. One possibility is that Kevin simply manages to pass unnoticed amidst everything else. While being extremely indignant that they are not even noticing him.

I'm rather afraid that they will try to return Kevin to storage. They may not consider him safe to have running (or floating) loose. Or maybe they just want to keep public irritation levels down.

I really doubt it. All Tensaided suspects Grace of would be standard stuff, like being a Cylon, or a vampire, or possibly a pod person.

I believe that the original "He's dead, Jim" was an attempt at humour. To wit, a comment on the absurdity of Dr. McCoy declaring a person dead after a cursory inspection that does not even involve use of a med scanner. Your own post indicates how difficult this can be even for forensic specialists with a lot of time yet McCoy did this all the time.

I am sure that will be relevant in the case of the next swarm of ravenous killer moths science observes. Or maybe I should say the first one.

That was in fact part of what I counted. Cessation of breath and pulse may usually be considered a reliable indicator of death. As to detection of blood circulation, well, a pulse is usually a requirement for it.

He is the quintessence of what I like to refer to as 'a nerd and a gentleman.' I have known several of these, one of whom actually looked startlingly like Mr. Tensaided himself. This gentleman comported himself with impeccable dignity and kindness to everybody around him, was always helpful and boasted an encyclopaedic knowledge of British history as well as Dr. Who. And had a Dr. Who collection comprised of every VHS tape he could find. This was before the DVD broke through so I can only assume that he saved a lot of room just a couple of years or three later.

And when it is a mechanical enemy, 'dead' is not necessarily merely when it stops moving.

Good example. I had something a little bit like this in mind but not nearly as well defined. "Unknown person, possibly a player of Magical Gatherings, took a Mulligan. Case closed." Seriously, I do think they work on it, but they have to prioritise. Admittedly littering is against the law, but there could be more important work drawing on their time.

There is a difference between an honest retcon and merely dropping a plot point never to pick it up again. Especially when it involves murdering a really sympathetic character who had just started to shine.

That was the issue where I instantly and without looking back dropped the series. It had been irrevocably tainted with so much stupid that I could never enjoy it again.

Guess which set is notorious for wasteful spending without balancing their budget and you may work it out. Hint: They are fond of cutting taxes without correspondingly lowering expenditures. You see, if you just stop taking money in, more money will magically appear out of the blue to replace it. At least that is how I understand it is supposed to work.

It is admittedly a little hard to justify killing from ambush as self defence though I imagine there are circumstances where it would apply. But murdering a woman who did not even know of your existence so you might commit hostile takeover of her life does NOT qualify.) It was Excalibur, which was one of the many, many offshoots of the X-Men. And I agree. Claremont alone was infamous for leaving plot threads dangling, I really doubt this one was the worst. It just happens to be the one I personally resent the most. Possibly because it is such a splendid example of Women in Refrigerators.

Ah yes. I remember this one time where my cats lay curled up asleep together. Then suddenly they sat bolt upright, all but simultaneously, and one slapped the other with a paw. Then she shot out of there like a bolt with her brother in hot pursuit. They gallopped twice around my apartment, back into the bedroom and then they stopped dead for no reason I could see. After grooming for like half a minute they settled down to curl up next to one another again and a few minutes later they were asleep. Cats. Go figure.
