Never heard of him; he was the real deal; wow, just wow. To me, this feels like another 'Day the music died'. They never regained their sixties popularity, but they had some of the best music. And he was a cornerstone.

I dunno, seems like we'll get a Tedd talk shortly . . .
-
Kind of like lawyers, then?
-
That may be generous as well, and dogs vary. But I get your point, and immortals seem generally wiser than typical dogs.
-
Seems likely that she recognized him as the prince, but not for certain; Tedd could just be reacting to suddenly being aware of being observed and/or think he's attractive without knowing he's the prince.
-
That may be a generous 8.

Also, after a pint or two of beer, you no longer care . . .

Well, I got one answer pretty quick; as seems more fitting, 'Imperial' is the British system, ours is just US or American, so, 'oops'. and Imperial is 20% larger. Pint defined. A liter is 1.05 times bigger than a us quart, so a liter is smaller than an imperial quart. first lookup seems to have returned Imperial fluid ounces; yeah that checks, that's what I asked for. Damn. Just crashed another probe into Mars.
-
Yeah, I asked Google, and I'm seeing two pints can't be right, a liter is bigger than a quart. Trying again, directly to quarts; (just shy of) 1.8 quarts. That sounds about right, and I'm left scratching my head, why did going through fluid ounces give a different answer, and Brits have their own version of our archaic system?
-
I don't know, but I have a guess. American market, so the kettle is sized in Imperial units. 1.7 liter is 33.8 fluid ounces, or a bit over two pints a.k.a. a quart.

It is a bit weird that Grace avoids saying the word 'breasts', she plays with her own a lot. She changes their size to poke at change blindness. We have no W.o.D. for how fast immortals mature; my guess so far based on circumstances would be slowly, though I doubt Dan will be consistent on this point. A. They isolate. (Although, when we've seen them they are not isolated.) Isolation is not conducive to gaining maturity. B. Elderly Jerry created the hammers as a fairly juvenile pranks. C. Other immortals have tended to be fairly juvenile in their approach to issues they were pursuing or committed to. D. This may well be the basis for the inability to handle their aging and needing to reset. They gain aspects of wisdom, but not the maturity to handle the whole ball of wax. Meh, what do I know. I'm sure it will go off in some plot direction and then be justified.

So Hope basically has to mature, as a human would, to appear differently in her default form. I don't think this is 100% correct. Pandora's nightmare chaos cloud form was a result of her going crazy as her warranty expired, and her sane adult form manifested when she could keep it together. But she also had the kid form, two of them actually, an ominous scary version, and a tame one she appeared to Sarah as. I suppose that represented some aspect of her, but it's not clear what or why. It's not just boredom, she was an adult when she marked people in the mall. It seems to reflect a choice of some sort. Voltaire's dragon form seems to be not just a reflection of who he is but also a manifestation of his grasping for power. Then again, it's probably not just default either. His more normal form does not fully reflect the psycho he is.

If it is not a layer of ad hoc anti-drone armor, belting shouldn't matter after all. -

I would think steel belted, but that's pretty much all you can find anymore. Tread shouldn't matter, so old discards should be adequate. -
Cat viscosity and flow equations are complex. Detailed in the book, Cat as a Furry Fluid.

It sounds like among the direct goals, they are also trying to discredit the Russian war making ability so that the culture looses heart. I hope it sinks in. -
Especially the chunky bits. Even more if they are bloody.

Different.

Pearls Before Swine, Thursday December 16, 2021 I could more easily see just dialog and no cartoon, the drawings look like they are shipped in from an overseas sweat shop. Kind of clever, maybe 4 stars out of five.

"Edward makes spell books' implied immortal-like powers. He's the one I specifically had in mind when I was thinking of humans who might be more powerful than Hope. Maybe this has something to do with why immortals hide? You've got to wonder why typical immortals hate vampires . . . or do they? maybe we've seen an uncharacteristic subset. Pandora had family reasons for her hatred. It has been hinted in the Sirlech arc that Voltaire may have hand in creating (some of?) them.

Not sure, whatever I heard was on NPR while I was driving, might have got the agency wrong. -

He's par for a Dumpster appointee. Our new head of FEMA didn't know the US had a hurricane season. The current head of DOGE is a 21 year old who's pre-DOGE resume begins with 'cut lawns' and ends with 'flipped burgers'. -
Hope is an emotional and intellectual wobbie, but she is strong in magic, relative to the humans. Maybe not a few specific humans.
