Interestingly, that translator doesn't implement all of the attested rules: Attested text: Translator gives: It is understood to be actually: See http://elgoonishshive.wikia.com/wiki/Uryuomoco for a more definitive set of encoding/decoding rules (but no automatic translator). Edit: while the correct translation was listed, the apparent additional rules were not. I have adjusted the page accordingly. -
On that topic, on a UNIX system, for example there's the small matter of cat, which is named for its ability to concatenate multiple files into a singular stream, but which is mostly used for outputting singular files to stdout (literally, it concatenates a list of files of length 1 and outputs the result, which amounts to outputting a file to stdout). Hence an idiom of doing something may develop. If an existing feature designed primarily for something else does something when invoked in a certain way, that might become the accepted way of doing it. Take also Python's empty-slice syntax for taking a copy of a mutable sequence (literally, it takes a subsequence with no start or end bounds, which amounts to a copy of the original sequence).

Am I the only person who calls out latest interfering immortal "Floating Elf Lucifer"? Why that name? Because he's a light-bringer, and was called a floating elf Jesus, but does not appear at-all christlike. ... that being said, he probably isn't an elf.

Reference? Or not?

In my now-lost newbie thread, I mentioned that I was trying to cultivate an androgynous online presentation and stated "use whatever pronouns you want" with respect to indicating myself. While I presently do not feel as strongly that I want such a presentation as I did at the time, I am still happy with the "use whatever pronouns you want".

... and I'm a born-in Latter-day Saint, so naturally I don't know what my alcohol tolerance is. However, I do know what my skill at proof by induction is, namely less than I would have liked (at least at the moment), although I do get the gist. Also, relevant: Do I win now? Thought not.

I believe the point being made was that we were introduced to Susan in the context of being Sarah's friend, not vice versa.

And I'm of course the person who understood it to be in this sense: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Illuminated_manuscript

More or less. I've been working on possible banners: http://m.imgur.com/a/UnOeJ What do people think about it?

You are offered a choice between supreme intelligence, supreme wisdom, supreme beauty, supreme discernment, supreme gracefulness, the inability to feel sad, and the ability to heal others (but not yourself). What do you chose? [one of 7 possible answers] What do people think?

Hmm... good point. So, in other words, the "obvious questions" are best avoided; what we want are the type of personality questions which may need some heavy-duty hotseating to actually profile, but which will produce a thorough, sub-ficial profile of the characters themselves. Side-effects are also desirable, a particular answer-option formulated for, say, Susan may add, say 10 points to Susan but also add the odd point or two to those of the other characters which are more likely to agree / closer to agreeing with Susan than the others.
