    Daylight Saving Time.

    It isn't saving anything.

    Standard Time is now significantly less than half the year.

    Time to drop the pretense that the apparent time as determined by the sun has anything to do with our clock dominated lives.

    What are now the Eastern (GMT - 5) and Central (GMT - 6) Time Zones in the US should become a single and year-round  GMT/UTC - 4 zone.  Mountain and Pacific (GMT - 7 & - 8) should become GMT/UTC - 6.

    Also, Time Zones should follow state lines.

    Too often I hear speakers use the phrase "Elite" to describe individuals or groups who have earned the admiration or respect of others, but with whom the speaker (or the speaker's audience) disagrees.

    I'm not elitist.  I just think I would be a better President of the US than my elitist opponents.

    Once we realized that Pandora was not behind the attack on the ASMA Dojo, it became easy to assume the fried Colonel was to blame.  But the attacks grew out of a an ability that was essentially just summoning a companion for a lonely guy.

    You may be right.  Pandora, in one of her "nice" moments gave Dex the basic summoning mark.
    And then the jerk gave Dex the artifact that amplified the ability into something crazy.

    But I should add the disclaimer that the initial mark may have been the work of Jerry, les immortels, or any immortal other than PCR.

    Well, my brain is playing tricks on me again.

    Watching the program guide on the satellite receiver.  One channel was showing "Supernatural", the next was showing "Friends".  And for just a moment, I thought it said "Superfriends".

    That show was the only thing to make be bother to get up on Saturday mornings in the 70s and 80s.  I miss that show.  Don't tease me like that!

    I really wanted super-calm Ashley to join the cast.

    I think this may be because my mom was a Perry Como fan.

    But that could be such a useful superpower.  She could walk into a hospital, prison, hurricane shelter, refugee camp, or theatre showing Ragnarok, and keep the patients, inmates, and victims from becoming an unruly mob.

    Unless, of course, the initial crowd consisted of kangaroos.

    The TV was on and I wasn't really paying attention.

    Then a commercial comes on and I THINK I hear the voice say something like...

    "I'm on the go all day.  And I don't always have time to eat right.  So I drink Booze."

    After a few double takes, and seeing the commercial repeated on the next break, I realize he was talking about Boost.

    I know that I don't see and hear everything that happens around me.  But the things my brain inserts to fill in the gaps often scares me.

    After playing "Hot Potato" with the Dewitchery Diamond, the following people will be left standing in the storeroom.

    Elliot, Ellen, and Ashley. Essentially as we last saw them before the current round of shenanigans.

    Sirleck, sans host temporarily.

    Duplicate Blond Elliot, ie Magus.

    Duplicate Ellen, but with the mentality of an aberration.

    Duplicate Ashley, inhumanly calm and serene with the ability to calm anyone or anything with just a glance.

    Guard and Duplicate Guard.  Impossible to tell the difference.  They are both cursed.
