Soup from the Chinese delivery place.
I think they got the order wrong.
I wanted one ton of soup, but the container looks like less than a quart.

Somebody where I work has not shown up for his shift in two days.
I am working my third twelve hour shift in as many days.
There is no word from the office about getting a new person in to train.
I don't even know if the office is actually going to fire this person. He talked his way back to work after multiple days of no-call/no-show before. -
Why does it some how seem like an offensive cliché for the figure skater from Israel to include Hava Nagila in his short program?

This was the successful Japanese strategy for war with Russia earlier in the 20th Century.
You make an overwhelming attack on the enemy fleet and then sue for peace on your terms. -

I thought that "Officially" the national sport of Canada was Lacrosse.

And with Shaun White's win today in the Half Pipe, Athletes from Team USA have now won a total of One Hundred Gold Medals at the Olympic Winter Games all time.

I am thinking back to 1998 when CBS was covering the Nagano Games.
They had so little regard for Curling that Dorothy Letterman, David Letterman's mother, was sometimes the only person in CBS Sports gear at the Curling post match press conferences.
Awareness and interest for this auld Scottish game has grown so much in the US over the last two decades.

Maybe it was linguistic help from the Uryuoms, but Tedd understands the way The Will Of Magic writes better than most humans,
Tedd is now going to explain human use of magic to the Will of Magic in the same linguistic style TWOM uses to write in the spell books.

Oh sorry, that's the competing hotel chain.
That line is written above the Hotel exit door at the Hard Rock casino in Tampa.

At least half a dozen athletes from five countries in three different sports are younger than EGS.

We had some of the most delectable Being-Eaten-By-A-Crocodile competitors of all time in Egypt.
But the Powers-That-Be at Olympia would not sanction that event in the Ancient Games.17 minutes ago, The Old Hack said:Crocodiles are conservative creatures and not best pleased with sudden and unexplained changes in their diet and feeding times.
Crocodile time is pretty much "Sleep" or "Eat". And if you interrupt the former, they are quite content to use you for the latter.

There are people complaining about Mixed Doubles Curling.
Not necessarily because men and women are playing together.
Some are concerned that the speed of play is faster and the Skip position is not the team commander as with four person teams. These complaints to me seem reminiscent of the 1990s complaints about Beach Volleyball.
Many (not most, but a loud minority) long time players, coaches, supporters, and fans of traditional Volleyball did not like the new game.
But it proved more entertaining for many casual sports fans and the traditional game did begin to change. Is there room for innovation in Baseball, Golf, or Being-Eaten-By-A- Crocodile?
NSFW? It's Monty Python. An effective tool for offending the easily offended.
If you, or someone near you, is such a person do everyone a favor. Please don't click. -
That map illustrates Prussian history in the early 1600s.
"Prussian Blue", Fe4[Fe(CN)6]3 · xH2O, wasn't developed until 1706.
It would have been anachronistic to apply Prussia's signature colour to maps representing Prussia in the early seventeenth century.
And as George Jetson cautioned the Continental Congress at the end of the Boxer Rebellion, "Fact check your blogs before posting lest users ignore the attached cat videos."

It's too bad Victoria died in 1901 and Christian IX died in 1906.
If they had lived, between the two of them, I really think they could have knocked some sense into their grandkids.

It wouldn't need to be every time. Just once could be terribly inconvenient.

The Greek "Gods" were a lazy bunch who were only too happy to let their Roman cousins take over their duties as soon as the Classical Greek era was over.

The first thing I thought of was Babu, the bumbling apprentice, from the 1970s animated series "Jeannie".

Should I ask, howdah you do?
Will she pack her trunk?
Does she never forget?
And is she afraid of mice?

Arthur, this is not the time to question the details regarding Tedd's extended family.
Why am I expecting a "My Cousin Vinny" scene coming up?

That cat won't make the podium.
It can't catch any of the competitors.
