  1. So who will be invited to the Griffon Reunion?

Elliot, Ellen, Nanase, Ashley, Charlotte, and Dianne I would expect to be there.

Tedd knows the most about the build-ups.  Grace won't let him go alone if she thinks it may be dangerous.  Sarah may be there in Lab Assistant or OTT capacity, unless she finally gets to that date with Sam.

If Susan and Dianne make contact before the Griffons come back, Susan will be there.  Otherwise, the Susan/Dianne meeting will overshadow the Griffons.

I can't think of a good reason for Justin to be there.

Now the big question is who will be there from outside the Maine Ate?

Agent Edward Verres, with or without agents Wolf and Cranium, may be there depending on what the meddling kids tell him.

Adrian Raven and/or Noah may be there depending on what either of them hear from the meddling kids.

Noriko, Magus, Helena, Demetrius, Jerry, and Colonel Sanders may be there, but for reasons we may not like,

And on the Fairy Travel question...

If Fairy Nanase was to hitch a ride to the other side of the world with the Griffons, would she then be able to return to the Griffon's side as a fairy on her own?  Would she have any difficulty bringing her consciousness back to Moperville?  Does she know the Griffons well enough to send a fairy to them?  Is the Griffon's side of the world close enough to be in Nanase's range?

  2. From Dan's Commentary.

    Quote

"...but my point is that wasteland justice is more commonly "you've done wrong, so we're going to shoot you."

Really?  I thought wasteland justice was more like "I've done wrong, but I'm going to shoot you and tell people I shot you because you were the one doing wrong."

    Used (empty) paper towel rolls

Not unexpected.  The demand for that kind of craft supply in early elementary school can be so overwhelming that many parents will keep saving cardboard rolls and plastic tubs even when the kids have graduated.  I'm not surprised that someone has stashed some here.

    Anyhoo...

Next to the paper towel rolls, there is a large pot of Brunswick Stew.  Not the kind made with Beef, Pork, Chicken, Rabbit, or Squirrel (Sorry Grace, but that is the most traditional Brunswick Stew ingredient).  No, this stew is made with free range Brunswick Bowling Balls.

  4. This probably belongs in in the pacing thread, but others have already been commenting so I might as well.  Today's strip, like the last one, will seem like very funny asides when we go back and binge read through "So A Date At The Mall" in the archives.  But in serial format, scenes like this do seem to slow the plot.

    "Whoops"?  Really Tara?

Is there a travel agency, or even a version of AAA, on their half of the world that publishes travel guides for this side of the world?  That encyclopedic tome Andrea was reading doesn't seem like the kind of thing you can slip in your back pocket.  A guidebook, a map, and some currency exchange might have been quite helpful to both.

  5. First, Bagel Dogs are not the worst reason that has ever been used to start or justify a war.

Second, what if the magic clog and gathering Vampires in Moperville is a coordinated effort to keep the Griffons away from their half of the world?

Third, given her expression in the last panel, are we certain Tara is NOT a supervillain?

  6. I Like the Chibi look Dan uses.  Especially for Grace.

I Like the idea of spin-off comic for the game related stories.  I know Dan has a lot of game related story ideas and those stories can be useful for explaining a character's mental or emotional background and development.  But I also understand that a lot of readers quickly tire of watching others play video or card games.  So a separate comic for those stories may be a good idea, provided it does not cause more delays to the regular story and/or NP comics.

And isn't it obvious why she didn't die after getting shot?  Grace can't die until someone lops off her head with a big old sword.  (No, wait, I was trying to use that theory to explain Tedd.  Never mind.)
