    Drive too far.

A baloon shaped like a cartoon character is being pulled by dozens of department store employees while floating through Herald Square.

    Eat obscene ammounts of food.

Argue politics, religon & 50 year old family scandals.

    Pass out.

    Watch the Lions loose.

    . . . . .

This is what the Puritains wanted.

    Happy Thanksgiving.

Recent generations of comics seem to imply that Superman's most used powers are typing Daily Planet articles at super speed and heat vision to brew coffee.  I once saw a Captain Marvel cartoon where Mary Batson summons her Shazam powers to move furniture while cleaning.

Using extraordinary abilities to make mundane tasks a little easier is a gross misuse of magic or super powers and we all know that is exactly how we would use them.

At least some of the time . . . .

Ashley hasn't seen Squirrel Grace yet?  Very similar to Sarah's reaction.

     . . . . .

Is Tedd upset because no thought was given to asking Ellen if her "Second Life" memories might have relevant information?

Or is Ellen surprised that her "Second Life" memories have relevant information?

I think we can safely assume that the Chibi Stares will continue uninterrupted for the next two weeks.

Playful sabotage has been the maximum extent of Ashley's magical influence.

Now her teacher is helping somone learn a new way to control her power, and Ashley's only thought is more playful sabotage.

Kind of like getting into the Senate, but delivering the same speach every day.

Carthago delenda est again Ashley the Elder?

I do not think Kevin is the second coming of Srappy Doo.

Tedd has always been alone in magical research.  Even though Edward is a powerful mage, the communication between him and Tedd has been difficult at best until recently.  Adrian Raven has remained distant due to an unspoken agreement between him and Edward.  Pandora could be helpful, IF she happened to roll about a dozen nat 20s on various skill, reaction, and sanity checks on the same day.  Other Immortals, aliens & gods are even more unpredictable and all have ulterior motives that were not in Tedd's best interest.

Now Tedd has a magic artifact that could reasonably provide some insight into any magical question Tedd might have.

    Is it perfect?  No.

    Can it be annoying?  Yes.

Did Kevin need to be so rude when introduced?  Character growth?

Does if smell faintly of Deus Ex Machina?  Absolutely.

Will it be used as a mouthpiece for the author as an alternative to drawing long sequences of lab or library research?  Probably.

The plot twist where Tedd relies too heavily on Kevin leading to a spectacular and explosive failure practically writes itself.

And as for the suggested alternate Kevin Forms?

The Magical Talking Teddy Bear is nightmare fuel for those of us who survived the 80s.

Kevin, why must you be a reliable and interesting source of magical knowledge?

I was almost ready to simply ignore you whenever you appeared on panel.

     . . . . .

I probably shouldn't be surprised that there is more than one way to achieve similar magical results.  I suppose that the next step is to have Nanase make a "Model Fox" in a manner similar to Kevin's construction, then blend those techniques with her summon spell.

And the interplay between Ashley and Kevin makes me think of Kevin as a tutor for a Middle School History class, but he only has the University text book available.  Every time he lets a controversial tidbit slip, like ritual summons, the British Raj or Japanese internment, it distracts Ashley from the basic rote facts she's supposed to be learning, like the names of all the American states, the names of all the British monarchs or "is this your card?"
