  1. I think that she’s mildly offended, as she expected to qualify as a high schooler. Anyway, it seems that she is “young” enough that it would be difficult to place her in classes with the main teenaged cast, so she likely will not be going to school with them.

That said, once she does reunite with Adrian, a cover identity as his daughter or niece could work.

I wonder at what point in their reboot lives immortals are able to vote on their new rules? They must need to grow in awareness beforehand; Hope seemed very child-like in her initial cameos.

The vote apparently happened within hours after Pandora was reset, so Hope may not even have been awake yet.

I don’t really blame Hope for apparently feeling mildly insulted at being compared to a kitten, though the catgirl features are cute on her.

  3. Fifth girl raises an important, if Machiavellian, point. If what you care about is becoming Queen, any Crown Prince who isn’t abusive is acceptable, and it’s actually a bonus if he is easy to manipulate/dominate, since you can rule the country by controlling him.

  4. Edwardian counts as almost-but-not-quite modern, in the sense that current elderly people can likely remember their grandparents having unironically worn it.

As for Regency-era dress for the women, it was the most recent era pre-WW2 wherein it was considered socially acceptable for high-class women to be showing their cleavage in public (Victorian and Edwardian fashions being much more uptight about the baring of the female form).

  5. That is possible. Voltaire plays the long game, and so if he was aware that Tedd was a Seer that far back, then he would have seen benefit in getting to him by hurting Nanase—if Nanase is hurt/killed by a Vampire, then Tedd will hate all Vampires and thus want to eradicate them, either through a Magic Reset, or by mounting a large-scale Vampire hunt wherein Immortals like Voltaire would be able to “guide and empower” (i.e. manipulate) them.

Note that at the critical moment in the French Vampire encounter, Nanase was stunned, and if it weren’t for Susan acting quickly, she would have fallen victim to the Vampire.

However, once Nanase had started to become powerful as a Mage (since she is Royal-class and trained a lot), she was too strong to be felled by a few Vampires, and so Voltaire had to go with his Plan B of targeting Tedd’s best friend, Elliot. Note that Elliot did not really have the upper hand against the Spider-Vampire before the Griffins intervened, which implies that Elliot’s power set is far from optimal for fighting Vampires.

  6. Of course he’s a Boomer. Popes tend to be in their sixties when they are elected (seventy is the cutoff age, because they don’t want them dying of old age immediately). People currently in their 60s/70s are in the Boomer generation.

  7. So Hope is basically about as mentally mature as her current default appearance would lead one to believe.

A typically 200-year lifespan would give an Immortal about three times as much adult living as the average human, which is apparently enough time to acquire several times as much knowledge and experience as most humans.
