Rich seems surprised that Nanase is interested in more gaming sessions with the current group.

“Sweating like a sweating thing”? You know, I’ve always wondered why we use the expression “sweating like a pig” when pigs are utterly incapable of sweating at all.

Whatever it was that escaped, is probably the thing that Marik (or his god) wanted to gain control of.

3 hours ago, mlooney said:If they did they turned them off once they were in the house. Elliot saw them as "aliens".
I said “down” as in “off”. Elliot first saw them without their projections.

Haven't we heard this from Tedd before?
Yes. Because Tedd sees through projections, they was unaware that they were there at all, as they were invisible to them.
I presume that Will and Gill had their projections down the day that Elliot met them.

“We found a place to park”? Since when does Tedd have a car? He has a license, and has driven Ellliot-and-Ellen’s car in a few scenes, but we have not heard of him getting his own car.

That would go double if they are from adjacent dynasties, since the newer one was likely to have overthrown the older one, leading to animosity between them.

Since the latest news about NATO is the admission of Sweden, I presume that the winglike extensions represent Sweden (or the Norse/Vikings).

1 hour ago, Darth Fluffy said:(Realistically, computers are cheap, small and light. They do not limit what can be done. But Mayday was created in the 1970s. Small computers were still largely ineffectual.)
Yes. The computer (or smartphone) that you are reading this message on is almost certainly more powerful than the greatest supercomputer in the world forty years ago. A current high-end consumer-grade desktop probably matches the world’s best supercomputer in 1990.

Really, anything beyond basic algebra should be optional in a game, unless the math is the point of playing (e.g. manually plotting firing solutions for artillery in a naval battle where the ships are moving)

Hey, anybody who is clearly contributing their labor above and beyond simply paying taxes and cheering and waving flags is aiding their country in my book.

“Some of you may die, but it’s a sacrifice I’m willing to make.”

30 minutes ago, Pharaoh RutinTutin said:is Edward afraid any praise could trigger another round of Inflated-Ego Tedd?
Most likely this. Tedd also probably knows that the stuff he developed is being made available to other Uryuoms—Edward probably had him construct a few TF guns for his department to use—but Tedd is probably unaware that a lot of Uryuoms are in awe of him because of it.

Also cat litter boxes—I have kittens who seem to take a dump everywhere except in the boxes, and I often discover this the hard way—by stepping in it barefoot.

I would say that anybody who takes it so far as to use their government in a serious attempt to eradicate a minority group by killing its members is completely reprehensible.

50 minutes ago, The Old Hack said:When did the war happen where one side was the good guys? I think I missed that one.
The closest we have come to one of those in modern times was WWII, and that’s only because Germany and Japan decided to play the genocide card.

Uryuoms who are trying to blend in with humans being closer to typical human height makes sense, even if they are shorter in their native forms, since we know that they (and their transformation tech) are capable of limited size alteration.

El Kabong! KABONG!

She will rock you like a hurricane.

Given Ellen’s origin, I’m mildly surprised that Elliot doesn’t consider the “she’s me, but a girl” element more.

Given that altering their appearance is a way of life for Uryuoms, it is probable that they have long-ago developed non-appearance-based forms of identification. Something that scans brain wave patterns or personal aura patterns for example.
