Welcome, everyone, to the new 910CMX Community Forums. I'm still working on getting them running, so things may change. If you're a 910 Comic creator and need your forum recreated, let me know and I'll get on it right away. I'll do my best to make this new place as fun as the last one!

The US has this strange conceit embedded in our Constitution, that it is solely the US Congress' decision whether or not the US is at war.
You'd think the nation attacking us would have some say in the matter.
Iran, as I understand things, has been at war against the US since very shortly after the Shah lost power. They've had a finger in numerous attacks against the US, its allies, and neutral nations. But the US is not at war.

Yep I was right about the polka player.

Just for a twist....
Twice this summer I've been hit with a power outage because a tree landed on a power line - and didn't break it.
(The line repair crews would deliberately cut power to the line while removing the tree and doing any necessary repair. Can't say I blame them.)

Also, I read an interesting idea somewhere... what if Taiwan sends troops to reinforce Ukraine?
Putin claims Russia would interpret any such action by anyone as an attack, and would counterattack.
Taiwan then turns to Beijing and says "you claim Taiwan is part of your country. Will you use armed force to defend it?"
(I don't see that happening... but it's an interesting thought experiment.)

I had a player in my game (during the 5e "D&D Next" play test, damn that was a long time ago...) that freaked out when he found that a couple were playing reversed genders. Never heard of some one playing not their gender before. Of course he was a fairly new player so there is that.
My favorite of all the D&D characters I've ever played, the only one to date whom I've carried over into other fiction, is a female (nope) Gnome (nope) bard (most emphatically nope).

Brat-halla in its last days went even simpler. The artist did everything from the viewpoint of young Hodr.

Wish I were guilty of the sort of financial mismanagement that results in net-worth estimates ranging from US$3 billion to US$10 billion...

US Senators live (actual physical habitation, not legal residence) in one of the country's more expensive areas, too. And they socially/politically can't afford to live cheap, they have to go fairly high class.

Kind of ironic that in golf, one of the few places where "par" is formally defined, being subpar is good.

Would be nice to have the one hand working well before the other shoulder is seriously disabled by the surgery...

Some colleges require freshmen to live on-campus.

Might want to talk to your doctor about getting a different (or lower dose) anti-anxiety pill that is less disruptive than the anxiety.

He doesn't. He feels like maybe he should, and wonders if he should feel bad about NOT feeling loyalty to his mom.
With this coming totally out of the blue, I think he's toward the less-conflicted end of the range of confusion one might expect of him. He's had no time to get used to the concept of his dad dating, let alone getting serious about it, let alone with an Uryuom.

I approve.
Not that my approval matters... but I approve anyway.

Cthulhu for President! For those who are sick of voting for the lesser evil!

"or" would make more sense than "of", I think.

Tea was not very busty in her first appearance, and 2,037 pages later she still isn't.

I'm sure some would like to see Camelia in a T that fits a bit more snugly.

Swiped from another forum's discussion of "designer dogs" (aka overpriced mutts):

Pepper&Carrot updated for the first time this year - but it's 8 comic-book pages of high quality art (which is about normal for that comic, both in update size and update frequency).

Hey, I'm not talking about whether it is reasonable for Iran to be angry at the US. I'm talking about the dichotomy of Iran being at war against the US when the US is not at war against Iran.
