  1. ...That's highly unlikely. Raven taught Tedd's parents in high school and I got the impression that they were already together back then. Granted, we don't know how many years passed between their graduation and Tedd's birth, but I believe if Noriko had another son before Tedd, Edward and Tedd would know about it.

  2. I was very confused at first when Elliot said that there was no way Edward would not know about Susan being adopted, but it makes perfect sense now. Of course he would know, he's Dumbledore. I just wish he won't refuse to share his information with the kids or tell them to not tell Susan anything. I know he loves secrets, but Susan deserves and NEEDS to know. Nanase knows it, Elliot knows it, Ellen will hopefully understand it too, so they wouldn't really need Edward's permission to tell Susan she's adopted, but Elliot makes a good point, it would be nice to be able to prove it. Edward clearly doesn't want Tedd to know about Noriko for some reason, but perhaps he will be more reasonable about this.

Considering how much Nanase and Ellen already know about Diane, and the fact that Diane has already been attacked, Edward should definitely agree that she'll need help. He might even think that Nanase would be the best choice considering her abilities and the fact that Diane would trust her, rather than assigning agents to watch over her.

That's quite optimistic of you. Nanase is badass, but do you think her uncle would be willing to let her protect Diane against an unknown number of vampires who might even be working together without additional protection? Also, Diane doesn't only need protection, she needs to be trained to protect herself as well. I don't think Edward would recommend Raven for the job, given their history, but Grace might ask Raven to train Diane anyway, or Edward might trust Greg enough to ask him for help.

Even if her mom is her birth mom, it's still an awfully important secret to keep from Susan, that she has a sister, a twin, and for some reason they not only separated them, but never told either of them about the other!  They stole an incredibly important relationship from her, years and closeness which can never be reclaimed, and I have a very difficult time coming up with any sort of adequate justification for doing that to both of them.  Her mom would have been lying to her her whole life.  That sort of revelation irrevocably damages a relationship, and she'll never look at her mom the same way again.

Agreed. I think the kindest way Dan could write this is that Susan's mother hasn't told Susan that she's adopted yet, but she fully intends to do so one day and that she hasn't told Susan about Diane because she doesn't know about Diane herself and she doesn't know that her ex-husband is the twins' biological father either.

Tedd talked himself, Sarah, and Grace into not sharing information with his father.

Pandora put a lot of effort into convincing Sarah not to talk to Tedd's father.

Ellen and Nanase talked themselves into circles justifying a decision to withhold information from anyone.

It would be the hopelessly honest Elliot making a talk with Agent Verres the first option.

Sadly, yes. What's the matter with those kids?

Susan's mother may not have any reason to to tell her now - she wouldn't know about the vampire-issue, would she?

If my theory is correct, definitely not.

  3. Here are my two cents:

    - I don't believe Noah is related to Tedd or Noriko

    - Tedd's younger brother must logically be at least five or more years younger than him, so I very much doubt it's anyone we know

    - I don't think Noriko or Raven have ever had children via Uryuom eggs

    - I don't know how Noah can use Earth magic, but I trust Dan will explain it one day

    - Why are we even talking about Noriko, Raven, Noah and Tedd? They have nothing to do with this storyline.

Until I'm proven wrong, I'll stick to my theory about Susan's father being her real father and the mistress being the twins' biological mother. One or both of the parents may be vampire hunters, which might explain why they haven't kept in touch with their daughters, but I actually think it's more likely that they simply don't care about them. It's sad, but it's completely possible.

  4. Yep, Susan's mother certainly has some explaining to do. Even if she doesn't know everything, Susan and Diane are smart, I'm sure they could figure out all the missing pieces of the puzzle together if they wanted to. However, that's just it, I'm not sure if they would even want to learn more about their real parents. Susan hasn't seen her father since she was a kid and if she figures out that his mistress was actually her biological mother, there's no telling how she will take it. Besides, the only thing that matters right now is getting the sisters to meet and then trained to hunt vampires by Greg, Raven or Edward. If they're not unhappy with their current families, then I think looking for their parents can wait.

...Unless of course the girls' father/mother happens to be a powerful vampire hunter him/herself and will come back to Moperville only to find his/her daughters doing his/her job. Boy, wouldn't that be an awkward family reunion.

  5. *sniff* I'm so proud of Nanase. I knew she was smart enough to see the light! Now all we need is Elliot to convince Ellen that they can't keep quiet anymore and that Susan needs to know about Diane.

I just hope dan doesn't pull a plotpoint from the tv sitcom playbook and have the blond mistress be their real mother...

that would just be WAY too cliche.

Maybe so, but to me that seems to be exactly the case. Susan's father may or may not be her real father, but I'm sure that the blondie is her and Diane's biological mother.

I am half hoping it was Diane's adoptive mother, and he is now her adoptive step-dad.

Um... What? That's impossible. There's no way the mistress is Diane's adoptive mother unless of course she is not Susan and Diane's biological mother, and that seems only too likely at the moment, since all three women have blond hair and the same face.

I guess it's still possible that Susan and Diane's father is Diane's "adoptive" father, but that would make no sense at all. I have a feeling that he's with their real mother and hasn't seen his daughters in years.

It was kinda already implied just after Grace's Birthday, when Susan was considering leaving her hair half blonde/half black and saw the blonde woman she found her dad with in the mirror, the title itself was "The other woman with Susan's face". It's entirely possible Susan's dad is her real dad but had been having flings with the blonde for several years, he might have got her pregnant, and she might have insisted that he "adopt" Susan.

    Exactly this.

Now things are getting really interesting. Of course, most of us already saw this coming, but it's good to see that Nanase has the same idea. It also makes perfect sense. Since Susan's mother divorced Susan's father, she had become a single mother and probably just couldn't care for two children. So she had to make the tough choice of putting one of her daughters up for adoption. I wonder how Diane and Susan will react to this. They probably will refuse to believe it at first. Is there any way of actually proving this? I'm not sure if Susan's mother is still able to recognize Diane after all this time. Well, in any case, I hope their reunion will go well.

You're assuming that Susan's mother knows about Diane at all. My theory is that Susan's parents "adopted" Susan (even though her father knew he was her actual father) and Diane was put up for adoption by the mistress. Susan's biological parents kept seeing each other in secret until Susan caught them. Of course, it is possible that at this point Susan's father might have come clean and confessed that he was Susan's real father and even told his wife about Diane, but that apparently didn't go anywhere if he did. Either way, Susan was clearly told nothing about anything.

Also, how will Sarah react to finding out her sister have magic and didn't told her? (Assuming she really does, as we suspect since http://www.egscomics.com/index.php?id=2114 ).

I must be missing something... Why do you think Carol might have magic? Because she turned up at the mall so fast? I don't think that's enough of a reason to assume she has magic she may or may not know about. Sarah's affinity for her spell was incredibly hard to detect according to Pandora, so if Carol has any sort of affinity for magic, I think it would be just as easy to miss.

Also, if Carol does have magic and knows she has it, do you think she'd be willing to tell Sarah about it if she hasn't told anyone else? If Carol wants to keep her abilities a secret, but is still willing to "out" everyone else, then she is a total hypocrite. So I say she'd better be a Muggle!

  7. Sigh, I was wrong again. It's starting to get embarrassing. Maybe I shouldn't make so many assumptions from now on, or then I just really didn't want Cheerleadra to become a cyborg and therefore convinced myself that it would be impossible. I should have known better.

Anyway... I suppose this doesn't make her too OP. She has all the powers of a smart phone now, but that doesn't make her a better fighter. She still needs to practice fighting in air, landing etc. It's kinda disappointing that we KNOW that Cheerleadra is more powerful and sturdy than regular Elliot, but she still hasn't had a real chance to show that in battle. She really needs to beat up some villains soon without anyone getting in her way. Maybe she should take over the role of Moperville's vampire hunter until Susan and Diane are properly trained.
