  1. Changing Medications (Level of Trust Required)

So I finally got an appointment for an optometrist at 1 PM on August 12. I need it; I've been far too long without glasses. I'm sick of the eyestrain and fatigue. Even though it's been a year and a half since I could wear them, I miss the feel of them on my face (as in it feels like they should be there but are just not there if you know what I mean). But mostly, I just wish I had my near vision again.

You may not suggest that directly but many act like other forms do not matter as much and unfortunately some of your language and stand make it look like you might have those sort of stands whether or not you do. As far as doing something against Radical Islam I would love to hear a suggestion that has not been attempted without it backfiring upon us. Seriously I'm not kidding no of what we've tried has improved things. Not subtle attempts of manipulation. Not outright attacks. Not propping puppet regimes. Not overthrowing governments. All of this crap has only impressed upon them that we are not to be trusted. So has the rampant Islamophobia. And you know want the terrorist love the fact it's obvious others can't be trusted. They couldn't have received a better recruitment tool. One thing we have failed to try is consistently focus on defending against all forms of intolerance and intimidation regardless of source and type and not the stupid theater but actual defense. We might have to lay claim to our missteps and misdeeds, to abandon our base cruelty, and to actually do some intelligent work. Of course that might piss them off but more because they may end up with less to use against us.

4 Focusing like that is the reason domestic terrorists were allowed to seize federal, land paralyze a town, and destroy historical artifacts for several weeks. The focus should be to protect against all enemies foreign and domestic. 5 Here is the problem in a nutshell we wan't the terrorist gone but a holy war would be counterproductive. The average person unfortunately does not seem to differentiate a radical islamist from your average Muslim despite distinct and important differences between the two and it's far easier to whip them into a frenzy of hatred than it is to talk them out of it. 6. Given the general overemphasis on such acts committed in the name of Islam either by groups or individuals and the general de-emphasis on those committed other groups which already exists, I could not disagree with you more. Neither race nor creed nor ethnicity nor nationality nor sex nor gender nor sexuality nor political affiliation nor economic status are reason to subject someone to intolerance and intimidation of any form and t does not matter if one person or a group of people involved in subjecting an individual or group to that

    1. I would say predominantly. Foreign terrorism is committed by Radicals in the name of Islam a vast majority of the time. A large number of our domestic terrorists are centered around hate of minorities, hate of the LBGTQA community, hate of political ideology, hate of immigrants, etc. and are every bit as willing to use violence and intimidation. 4. Some are some are not. Radical islamic terrorism is a real and very dangerous problem but there are parties who capitalize to push their own agendas of hate, fear, and politics. The Idea all muslims are terrorists is patently false and yet it is brought out over and over and over again. Some policies push have deliberate provocative effects to them. While not implementing those policies won't stop those who hate us from continuing to do so it does reduce the ammo they can use to recruit more members. 5. No the president should not but they should make a clear distinction between terrorists operating in the name of Islam and Muslims. That is a legitimate distinction. 6. Given of of the acts of domestic terrorism, I actually feel the author got that spot on.

I understand why you used it but it was a far, far different sorta text than we are used to seeing with that sorta red announcement.

Did I or did I not call this a while back?

True, I don't think most of them start off bad but, in the US system at least, they end up having to compromise themselves so often that very few end up with any credibility even if they are still relatively benign.

What's the difference between a politician and a house plant?
  9. Story Friday July 8, 2016

Dude has balls of steel, which is convenient for Pandora considering it looks like she'll have to collect them from magic lion bear crap to make use of them.
  10. Changing Medications (Level of Trust Required)

I just checked my dental coverage for reasons. Apparently i's half decent. No braces but I don't know anything that covers that.
  11. Things That Make You Happy

Even after all this time, a certain Pharrell song.
  12. Videogame Thread

It is on my wishlist. It did not make tomorrow's $66 budget however. Full game, yes... Demo, no. http://www.cross-code.com/en/start
  13. Changing Medications (Level of Trust Required)

Ouch and that's good at least. Smack the doc upside his quack head when you get there.
  14. What Are You Listening To?

A Rhapsody relating to the homeland my maternal grandfather's family. The original Queen version.
  15. Things that make you sad.

Far far too many things apparently.
  16. Things That Are Just Annoying

I find it incredibly annoying when I start sneezing out of the blue at about 11PM, while sitting at the same chair and breathing the same air I've been most of the day without issue.
  17. What Are You Watching?

Sidonia no Kishi: Daikyuu Wakusei Seneki (Knights of Sidonia: Battle for Planet Nine) Currently on Episode 4 of 12 Might take a quick break after this episode to watch the newest, and last, episode of Kiznaiver and episode 11 of Flying Witch after episode 8.
  18. Whenever mom exclaims "holy crap" or a variation on said epithet I joke that I don't believe said substance can be sanctified. I'm curious what other things do you all have similar reactions to when you hear them blurted out?
  19. What Are You Watching?

    Koutetsujou no Kabaneri
  20. Changing Medications (Level of Trust Required)

I should probably have one of those at some point but I really don't give a shit if I ever do. I have certain criteria for people who want to poke around in my butt and I've yet to meet a doctor who has met them.
  21. Videogame Thread

There were a couple issues with the Wii U, IMO. First and foremost they did not sufficiently differentiate it from the Wii; marketing-wise it looked like far less of an upgrade than it was. Second, they really could have handle the tablet controllers better, if only by not making them required for some tasks and making it feasible to get another if you wanted. Seriously, crap happens evening the best products and it's kinda stupid to make allowances.

Whatever your political viewpoint, do not spray paint you support for a candidate on your garage door like one of the people in my neighborhood; it's tacky as hell.
  23. Changing Medications (Level of Trust Required)

The opthamologist removed the stitch from my eyeball (I had not even realized it was in there until then). I'm cleared to set up my glasses appointment with whatever optometrist the insurance company allows me.
  24. Admittedly this is somewhat EGS inspired but it doesn't necessarily have to be EGS related (unless you want it to). If you could at this moment have a spell that you wanted and/or reflected who you are what would that spell be? Me I would want Tedd's sex change spell sans the affecting other people aspect.
