Comic for Wednesday, Oct 2, 2024 This is the first indication of this weakness in immortals. Jill appears to have lasted slightly longer, with similar results; but she is a young child, with low magic resistance, stated a few comics back. Hmm. Voltaire backed off when Tara demanded it. I guess the EGS universe can mount a resistance when they need to. (Voltaire needs a MIGA hat, but he'd be too classy to wear it. Because he does not wear trucker hats. He's fine with his slogan.)

Comic for Friday, Sep 27, 2024 Jill seems to have caught a bit of Pandora. That much power as a child would be bad. A real human with that much power would turn out badly, few constraints.

Comic for Wednesday, Sep 25, 2024 The top line of text boxes are not captions for the comic frames under them; those are an older memory. This was not obvious at first. Pandora has compassion, at least in this instance. Pandora is not exactly in control of herself when the emotions flow. My conclusion is that immortals are never actually adult, by human standards.

Comic for Friday, Sep 20, 2024 Pandora is showing compassion to Jill as a child. The issue Jill is having is unclear.

https://www.egscomics.com/comic/hope-111 Bored Pandora feels a surge of righteous indignation. This will not turn out well for anyone.

Comic for Friday, Aug 2, 2024 A fair amount of awareness of her past, nothing else new, really, she already determined she needed to talk to Sarah alone.

Comic for Friday, Jan 6, 2023 Diane lights up when she is surprised by information. She is easily surprised. She is, however, good at math and / or English. She is aware that 'very' is not a number. Noah is more empathetic with Pandora's (apparently) vengeful decision. She may have saved the world. He has a point. If COVID patient zero had been isolated and killed in a manner that prevented the successful spread of the disease, millions would have been saved. Harsh, but true. So, keep the zombie apocalypse in mind the next time you run into a COVID denier ... 'Apparently' because for the most part, immortals in EGS seem fairly callous about human affairs. But that's not always true, and Pandora has shown some capacity for compassion, so maybe she figured out that it needed to be done. I'm guessing that Abraham was about the most qualified person to try to remove the werewolf curse (given that he partially succeeded, and his current facility with spells), and his failure actually characterizes the difficulty. I do believe Diane is coming to appreciate her biological father. But his disagreement with Pandora might be a discussion point; it highlights a larger issue, he does not trust her to do the right thing, circling back to her callousness. There aren't any real surprises in this comic, but it is moving the story forward nicely.

Comic for Wednesday, Jan 4, 2023 "I've seen griffins and vampires and an awful flying monster, but the notion that werewolves are (were) real still surprises me." She is once again less logically discerning than normal. <shrug> Show her your other eye, Noah. Let's really turn the heat up.

I'm starting this one because I have nagging questions about Pandora's Terminator-style Judgement Day for Aberrations. Here are some roughly in order of how nagging: Why isn't Sirleck dead? How could the Immortals have killed so many Aberrations with a spell that only has a range of several miles? How much collateral damage resulted? If Adrian Raven needed Susan's sword to slay Aberrations, where do Susan and Diane get their hunter talent from? How do Helena and Demetrius find Aberrations? Why wouldn't they have detected Sirleck's presence in Moperville when he came to possess Francine and then Ellen? When and how was Sirleck sure that Helen and Demetrius wouldn't be guarding Elliot? (I'm not saying that he was necessarily right about being sure.) When did Sirleck look up at the lights in the sky?

http://www.egscomics.com/index.php?id=2444 ... so Pandora managed to make TWO actions. Three, if we count her crying. ... but what we feared about happened. Pandora will be reset. And still no light. Maybe the light will really be the reset itself? ... when Jerry said "the vampires are dead", how many vampires was he talking about? All of them?
-
http://www.egscomics.com/index.php?id=2444 OH SNAP! Guess Pandora said enough was enough, but now what? From the commentary, all Immortals must know this happened, will they be able to force a reset or will someone intervene? Also did she only just kill those 3 vampires, or did more get caught in her wrath? Was this what made Sirleck feel he dodged a bullet?

http://www.egscomics.com/index.php?id=2430 Looks like we're going to have an old fashioned family reunion complete with vampire slaying.

http://www.egscomics.com/index.php?id=2380 Welp, Pandora realizes that Magus might still be an issue, dunno if she plans on addressing that at some point, her deciding not to say anything about it to Tedd seems like Dan's foreshadowing. And of course, Grace and Edward are sawing logs. But Tedd does admit this isn't the first time she's been up late working on stuff.
-
http://www.egscomics.com/index.php?id=2379 Pandora is really encouraging Tedd here, I'm certain she knows it worked, but she wants Tedd to see for himself, hence the suggestion to "look" at the wand as he's using it. Also, Dan sneaking in (not really) Ellen's Vulcan salute clothing resize into the story.
-
http://www.egscomics.com/?id=2378 So...question. Those times that Tedd was glowing (aside from when he used his insight on his insight) what was the glowing for? Was he casting spells without realizing it?

http://www.egscomics.com/index.php?id=2373 So...I guess this means Mama Kitsune opted to not follow the family tradition. Not sure if this means she hasn't awakened or just that she hasn't bothered build up her spellbook after awakening. Sure, she's got the potential, but I can see the possibility of her just not being interested in it and letting her sister take the reigns, much to her regret later, I bet. Also, I guess Grace did tell Tedd that Adrian taught his parents, but possibly that was all she said? Although Adrian wasn't specific to what career he encouraged Noriko to follow so Grace could have mentioned that Adrian blamed himself for Noriko putting her career ahead of family and running of to start a travel agency in Europe. Still, Tedd knew that he was subjected to the magic analysis wand often as a baby, he must have thought that his mom was involved with that.
-
http://www.egscomics.com/?id=2372 I guess Tedd doesn't need to connect any dots, Pandora just laid it right out for him.
-
http://www.egscomics.com/?id=2370 And Lord Tedd returns, sort of. At least we have confirmation that the Lord Tedd plot hasn't been retconned out of existance. And thankfully Pandora did realize she might have overdone the dramatic effect.

http://www.egscomics.com/?id=2367 Ok so this is probably foreshadowing the power of the Gauntlet now. I mean, yeah we've seen the Gauntlet in action, but this could be linked to "The Gauntlet in Action".
