Important cooking note that I knew but forgot: Do not put a thin coat of olive oil on the bottom of the pan you are going to grill port cutlets on and leave the heat up too high. It will smoke and add a horrid carbon taste to the cutlets. They were still tender and juicy, but if they were not the last of the bunch I would have tossed 2 of them. Trying to scrape the burnt bit off didn't help either. I'm drinking a strong (as in lots of lemon, not with alcohol in it) lemonade to try and get the taste out of my mouth. I'm surprised the fire alarm didn't go off, I know it works...

Maybe. I said "same thought process" and you replied with "sane thought process" in quotes. This made me think you might have miss read my statement. There are, of course, many types of mental illnesses. Having rushing thoughts maybe mixed with forced speach is a classic sign of bipolar disorder or ADHD. (Some drugs will cause that as well, but we will assume that Pandora isn't a coke head). It also happens, much less often in people with schizophrenia. Of the three, based on what we have seen of her and assuming Immortals can be evaluated the same as base line humans, itself a large leap, I would put money on ADHD or bipolar, or worse case, part of my combination both. I don't think she is on the Antisocial personality disorder spectrum or has extreme anxiety, to round out the major parts of my messed up brain chemistry, but it's possible.

SaMe though process. Not saNe though process. The human brain really isn't made for that type of dual threaded operation. Normally only one thread is in the foreground and the others are background processes that may trigger a change in state.

I'm not sure how I feel about this one. Mr d10 FV5, sorta, in the same costume as Susan was in as a video guard. Has a 40's pinup look and feel. Can't see in on a bomber nose however. Seems that Elliot and Ashley have their own video or anime now.

Panera brand "kettle-cooked" potato chips, which are highly salted. That first drink of sweat milky tea after eating the bag of chips was, well, odd. Will not repeat. Actually the only reason I had the chips is David's family got them as some part of a sandwich deal. I should have know that there was something off about them when two teenagers didn't want them. The package claims on 6% of the daily amount of sodium, but they tasted like more. It's still 150mg.

In my opinion she is doing the same thing now as Susan did for Justin at the party. Pushing aside her own massive issues and seeing to how Tedd is doing. We will see on Monday.

Pandora is having a breakdown, no questions, but is hardly insane. With a slight change in subject I have basically had the same breakdown and two thoughts thread effect several times. I really feel for her right now. I still don't think she is the Big Bad of this arc, nor really any arc now that we know who tried to kill Elliot. Of course I am on disability because of having breakdowns like that, so I might not be the best person to evaluate Pandora right now.

Alas, I have still not managed the platonic ideal of a bowl of oatmeal. I am coming closer with each attempt, but the ideal bowl of cooked oats seem to be just beyond my reach, at least for now. At least I've gotten past the oatmeal soup era.

I just had a bowl of grits, with butter, sugar and raspberry jam. I am now sorry, because I feel I will never get that combination of texture, taste and temperature ever again. I may have had the platonic ideal of sweet grits. Damn that was good. On the plus side my first meal of 2017 was just about perfect. I'm am taking this as a sign that this prime number year may be prime, and not just as a number. We can hope.

And this is New Years song why? One of those questions I ask, never really expecting a reply that makes sense to some one born and raised in flyover country. For some reason Mr. d10 as gender fluid hits me as weirdness. Don't know why but it does. I mean if he is, good for him, but of all the characters in EGS, he is the one that I would be happiest if he was cis.

For the first time in many freaking years there was zilch gun fire, fireworks, car horns, people helping out the front door or any other noises. The only reason I knew it was past midnight was my "stop reading and go to sleep" alarm went off. It being set for 1:30 am. Huh.

Syd: Sharks, Alligator Max: Snapping turtle, Hippo, Orca I think I have reached a point that between xkcd, Girl Genius, EGS, The Whiteboard, Schlock Mercenary, and Grrl Power I can reply to almost any thing with a comic and be close to on topic.

And roughly 10 minutes to "mlooney takes drugs and goes to bed". Which is not the same as "mlooney falls asleep". These two events are often separated by several hours, depending on what I'm reading.
