I like the large friendly letters reading "DON'T PANIC"... I though that's different book.

Von Braun was hiding. Nanase's family might not. They still needed to leave. Although according to official history none of those worked. Also, they grow out. I mean, the hair will grow with natural color. Susan's change is permanent. We'll see what will be Diane's hair color after awakening (Ok, the reason Susan's hair changed was probably because she hated being blond, but we can't completely rule out that changing hair color during awakening is NORMAL for Raven's relatives. Maybe one of her ancestors changed color to blond in HER awakening.) There was nothing magical about that mirror. Raven cast spell on Grace which changed her appearance to anyone looking at her except Raven and her, and the exception didn't worked through mirror.

Sure. That doesn't mean they were deliberately searching for best other bloodlines to combine with. Although anyone marrying someone completely without magic likely wouldn't get much approval from parents. Nah ... Mama Kitsune never expected Nanase to be housewife. She just didn't wanted to explain what she actually expect she will be doing. Personally, I think it was because she didn't exactly like this part of tradition, but first, SHE won't be breaking tradition, and second, the fate will ensure it will happen anyway. Mama Kitsune didn't agree with what Noriko did, despite Noriko continuing with monster hunting. So, she likely wanted some other part of tradition preserved, like the family values perhaps? Or wait: what if Mrs. Kitsune hates Noriko because with Noriko disappearing into Europe without leaving suitable heir, she was forced to prepare her precious Nanase to monster hunting? She don't like that but tradition is too important for her ... ... I'm really looking forward for finding out more about what happened between those two. Not all Genghis Khan's male descendants have this chromosome. Son of (any of) his daughter(s), for example, wouldn't have it. So, the actual number of living descendants of Genghis Khan is much bigger (and much harder to compute). Also, you know ... he doesn't need to best it alone. While I estimated Adrian's age to 600, it was just guess. Maybe he's 800 years old and Genghis Khan is his grandson. If Noriko was all about magic and Kitsune wasn't, then Nanase might've been tested later. I can imagine Noriko testing Nanase AFTER testing Tedd (of course with Mrs. Kitsune approval, but reluctant approval), then returning to Tedd and testing him again ... Because Adrian promised he leaves her alone? Or, as I said: She doesn't like it, but she's aware it will happen anyway. Fate, flair for drama etc. She tries to postpone it and tries to force importance of other values into Nanase, but at the same time makes sure when it happens Nanase will have big chance to survive. When she realized Nanase awakened (probably not so long after returning from France), her reaction likely was "Sigh. So soon." .... maybe even "Adrian was right." as it would totally make sense for Adrian to tell her that with Nanase's magic potential there is no way she won't get magic.

That is true, my point was that based on what Noriko had said, it would seem like those in their family who are born with strong magic are encouraged to find mates who are also of strong magic to ensure that the next generation would be able to carry on the family business. So yeah, while Nanase's Great Great Grandmother might already be a legendary monster hunter, if she encountered Adrian, even if all she knew of him was that he was a wizard, she might have considered him worthy to father a child with her. Actually, her comments suggest to me more that they didn't even put lot of effort into it - BUT it was probably happening anyway because due to their job they tended to only meet people with strong magic, so ... BTW, remember this page? Maybe Ellen should check with Edward - just because it's not part of official history on this Earth doesn't mean Uryuoms didn't actually fought in the American revolutionary war ...
-
That I don't buy. To father enough children to have that many descendants Adrian would have to have been a polygynous monarch like Genghis Khan or King Ibrahim of Morocco, or to have had the ability multiply himself 100 times for 100 women at a time like Krishna. Or both. He had two children, each of then had two children in age of 20 (which is actually pessimistic for middle age) ... and it happened 600 years ago, so 30 generations, so 2^30 = over billion descendants. It will actually be less because some of those would marry with other descendants, but this simple calculation will tell you it IS possible. Ever thought that Helena and Demetrius could have followed Nanase and/or Susan from Moperville? It could be another thing forgotten by their reset. It still happened elsewhere If you're talking about the Titania in the Sailor Moon fanfic I posted over a decade ago, the timing is wrong. (Haruka's oldest daughter.) I don't think Shakespeare wrote Sailor Moon fanfic. Yes. Since Adrian and all other half-immortals have one parent with natural transformation abilities, I don't think it would be unexpected for some or all of them to have transformation abilities. It hasn't been proven or disproven. Adrian is the only half-Immortal we've been shown in the series, and now even his own beliefs of what's possible for himself and others of his kind has just been proven imperfect. Of course that's also possible. But regarding what is proven, we don't know if the way Pandora shapeshifts is normal for immortals or it's just due to her age. It's possible younger immortals shapeshifting is more limited. They also speak fluent French, and in the late 1800's there were a number of Japanese moving to France for periods of time, IF Adrian was living in France while Nanase's Great Great Grandmother was living there and if she was also a legendary monster hunter. Maybe they had an encounter? Note that IF she already was a legendary monster hunter it would likely means another immortal was already between her ancestors. At least I suspect that being "legendary monster hunter" requires magical abilities. But yes, I think they got to America through France. Would explain why Noriko went to France (or is said to). They (I mean the family, obviously Noriko and Mrs. Kitsune were not born yet) left Japan in 1945 or maybe early 1946 as parts of demilitarization of Japan. Japan was not allowed to keep magic users with this level of power, as written in secret amendment of Potsdam Declaration.

Not feeling pain? Wait, that was the other guy wasn't it? (Although it seems Deadpool's pain threshold isn't normal either). ... ability to not get censored?

I don't see Adrian breaking up with a woman for having children with another man NOW. But as you said, Adrian has been around for a long time. His regret about causing Noriko abandon family is causing him to treat Grace differently ; maybe he break up with a woman in past, later regret it and changed behaviour leading to him now caring about Noah? You think small. Maybe number of Adrian descendants is over 10% in most of Europe and U.S., meaning Moperville having few dozens means we still didn't noticed few more thousands? It actually DID happened everywhere to Nanase and Susan. I think the only thing exceptional about Moperville is the percentage of the people who have stumbled across Adrian Raven and learnt magic from him. Note the high probability that ALL magic users have Fairy ancestors. Specifically, that this was exactly what Heka said to Pandora before her "WHAT?". So, unless the royal heritage is Nanase specifically being descended from Titania ... Because they are not as wise as they think? If she plans to ask Sarah to do it, she could've said the name already. I think she DO plans to talk to him AND in fact plans to tell him the bad news (because better now than later) BUT she's not looking forward to it. She is NOW. Magic is perfectly natural. I was already wondering about it, but note that while this arc has LOT of parts, it's not having so many PAGES. Yet. It can be both. Remember the cover. Grace's morphing abilities are inborn. I think Adrian learnt transformation as a spell, so it's more like morphing ability like Elliot.
-
Given that not being aware of our world never stopped Grace from making fun of games ...
-
Well, it was Elliot who got the Supergirl spell. Now, if this spell allowed Ellen to emit colorful light and not just white light, then it would be a Green Lantern spell as well . . . I think that color wasn't the most important feature of Green Lantern abilities Why? I don't have problems with Kiel'ndia Vel'Vloz'ress from Drowtales, I don't have problem with Scale from Cameo Comics ... why would Ellen be problem? (And Amanda and Lisa already address audience directly ...)

Adrian wasn't preoccupied with just Edward and Noriko. I think we can safely say Mrs. Kitsune was part of same group. Yeah, seems like he wouldn't have time for Mrs. Pompoms, much less her AND some blonde. I mean, if he would be teaching at school, teaching three magic users and having affair, he would at least need to introduce his students to Mrs. Pompoms so she wouldn't worry where he is all the time. OR Diane is still child of Mr. Pompoms and Susan's sister and Raven's other child is someone else. OR maybe Mrs. Pompoms AND the other woman with Susan's face are the children Pandora is speaking about (half-sisters, likely, making Susan and Diane half-sisters AND cousins - no wonder they look like twins). OR Pandora is speaking about Susan and Diane being Adrian's grandchildren and she just sounds little weird because "grandchildren" is not thing commonly being left out but she wants to be as vague as possible. Can't be, Susan is sure Mr Pompoms is most definitely her biological dad, and given everything else we know, I see no reason to doubt that. He wasn't ever called Mr. Pompoms IN CANON, that's only how we are referring to him. And his face wasn't shown.
-
I don't think Elliot had to either. It was dramatic, yes, but as I already mentioned somewhere else in different context, drama likely works like bonus, not as necessary condition. I think he would get over build ups even if he DIDN'T accepted the girl spells (and nothing else dramatic happened), but, like, month or two later ... and without getting non-girl spell at the same time. On the other hand, her getting transformation spells for a while was certainly caused by imperfect awakening just like Elliot getting girl spells.

Ok. Not yet completely confirmed, but it's getting harder and harder reading it as anything else than not only as elves being able to have kids, but than Raven already having child ... well, children. More like most unbelievable. Definitely even more epic than Susan and Diane being twins, and that's a big record to overpass. Also, I still think they may be (Also, the theory that Susan and Diane are not only Adrian's descendants but kids just got little more likely. It still seems to me that Adrian is not the type to cheat, but ...)
-
The "flashing the audience" joke is not exactly original but if Dan wouldn't do it we would ... Wait. She got this before scan & paste. So she got one non-transformation spell and then transformation again. Apparently, she's not that much against transformations ...
-
The small number of elves might've helped. Maybe elves are not necessary male BUT all elves alive at given point were ... And yes. There might've been someone who decided to not have sex because it could've resulted in children but general populace is the "WOO HOO!, No consequences!" kind. Every living European and every American with European ancestors (which is majority of them) and ... basically, there was someone around say 5000 years ago who already have 90% "coverage" but those remaining 10% are making it hard. (Some estimates say that the MRCA was born 3000 years ago, but they may be too optimistic.) We can therefore assume that either elves appeared relatively recently, or the magic heredity is more complicated than Noriko thinks. I think that any dolphin would confirm that breathing air was not that bad idea. The crawling bit, on the other hand ...
-
Well I have similar experience from high school, but I sort of though most people grow out from such behaviour.
-
That could match what we know, but not what is hinted. Adrian imagining his niece looking just like Susan is very likely to become plot point, I already pointed this page suggest Pandora learnt some NEW reason why her son will hate her (and having children would be top candidate) ... and last reset was VERY long ago. We can't actually rule out that getting magic by having child with fairy was something which APPEARED with last reset. Note: I suspect that Pandora being perfect example of "why" is related to the fact she postponed her reset to be with Adrian and that elves in general become less popular idea because fairies don't like forgetting their families ... and it will get even worse if those are not just children but wide families. But telling their next incarnations it can't be done remains bad idea.
-
Nor could Sarah, in point of fact. Unless Sarah is somehow attracted to people with gender ambiguity... She knows about Elliot and Tedd. And with her spell, she's much closer to discovering Sam than Sam in learning top secret stuff about Elliot and Tedd.
-
The difference is only in scale, not principle. Not only there is much more destruction in war, the RATIO between stuff being destroyed and stolen is also vastly different. Especially in interplanetary war.
-
The question if they even HAVE DNA (when they not actively using it) is open ; however, someone may be able to do some DNA sequencing on Adrian Raven. IMHO it didn't USED to be that way. It used to be relatively common knowledge before some idiot fairy way over recommended reset date got the idea of lying to her next incarnation. I don't care what Heka thinks about it, it couldn't be good idea.
-
It would definitely work better on most readers. Like this? "Dan, will you show us Grace and Sarah playfully tickle Ellen? Pretty please?" ; "Dan, would the tickling be in NP, sketchbook or pinup?"
-
... all this depends on Adrian lying to Grace ON THAT SAME PAGE. I don't think he did. He really IS convinced he can't have children. If he wouldn't, he would have no reason to say he can't because JUST NO WOULD SUFFICE. (Well ... "no" and then "yes" on "are you sure".) Note that parts of your theory might still be true - it is even possible (although unlikely) that Noriko has Adrian's child. Just ... the person the immortal ancestry was kept hidden the best was Adrian, so he wasn't the one doing it. (Unless memory erasure spells are involved, but those sounds like VERY bad idea and Dan luckily was able to avoid using that cliche as far as we know, and there were MULTIPLE cases where it would make sense to mention them.) First, I would totally expect she would deny him visitation. Second, he may not WANT to. Third ... even if he visits every week there would be no more reasons for US to see him than to see Justin parents (which we still didn't). That bit about Mrs. Pompoms accepting Susan despite not giving birth to her seems unlikely AND it would turn out in Edward's background checks, unless someone falsified the records really well. On the plus side, it would make Susan and Diane being twins option again.

We'd invent teleport blockers to prevent burglary, not just for privacy. Yeah, also that. Unless we will be already living in post-scarcity society and burglary would be rare while privacy concerns remains. (For example, if we would already have replicators at that point, why exactly would someone teleport to my home to steal my computer if he can just scan some in shop and replicate it at home? Right, because he wants the private photos on that computer. So, privacy.) I think the primary concern wasn't burglary but warships terraporting through defense lines and attacking homewords.
-
Yeah, Grace was there for that, but she didn't follow Edward and Nanase around the corner to hear Nanase mention the reason Not_Tengu was there. Although, she does have very good ears in that form.... still there isn't any evidence that she heard anything. She didn't follow Edward BUT she might get that information from Nanase later OR Edward might told her to prevent her accidentally telling Tedd. And yes she might actually hear that anyway In case of Grace, her technically-magic (or Uryuom power) potential. It's even possible he is only able to recognize her as Uryuom as opposed to awakened magic user due to his experience with Noah - similarly how the magic analyzer wand would give "false positive" for Grace. Justin at least once specifically said to Noah that he didn't told about him to others (yet) but that he feels conflicted about it. It's possible that he would tell if it became important, but so far it wasn't.

Sam can't possibly know this
-
While he might seen the resemblance (despite hair color making it harder), it doesn't exactly explain why he was buying it. This is one of those cases where Sarah should have enough info that even if this is all Pandora says, Sarah should connect the dots. She knows Adrian's half Immortal, and she probably knows how rare elves are, so she can't really assume that any Immortal she sees is going to have kids, thing is, Pandora is likely aware that Sarah knows about Adrian since she knows that Nanase knows and isn't obligated to withhold that information. Pandora also seems to be on a bit of an honesty kick at the moment, started with Disco Wizard, and she's become more aware of the harm she's done to people, she also likes Sarah so I can see her opening up about this with her. Sarah may NOT know how rare elves are - and in fact, they may not be as rare as we think. She might assume that in Pandora's time, many immortals had kids, and the reason Jerry didn't spoke about any was that they would be since before his previous reset. And Pandora deliberately didn't told her "Raven" as her name. Why starting now? I think it's more likely she won't tell the name directly but says something else which she wouldn't realize will be enough for Sarah to connect it. This I can believe, maybe that was the lie she told herself, that Immortals weren't responsible for Humans being the way they are. Maybe she had convinced herself that any offspring they would have with Humans would be sterile so that there's be less temptation to have kids. I dunno, there's probably another reason why Immortals rarely mate with Humans. But still, the whole "half immortals cannot have children" statement seems to be getting some large cracks in the foundation. It was likely lie her previous incarnation told her current one. But she repeated it to Adrian - and possibly in situation where it really mattered ... While the father being the one related to Adrian makes more sense, the "other woman with Susan's face" is hinting something more complicated ... but I'm not sure WHY. I mean, I don't see how Susan and Diane being cousins from mother sides would make better sense in story than the simplest solution. (Note that they can be half-sisters due to father AND cousins removed few times from mother sides at the same time ... like, maybe that's why they have magic and their parents didn't? IF they didn't?) Hmmmmm .... I'm not sure what could Jerry actually provide to this, but it's true Pandora can help Jerry and that would be useful by itself, so ... I still think something more was in game. Like that Adrian abandoned his girlfriend because she was pregnant and he was sure it can't be his. Well she wasn't SHOWING to many humans at all ... and there aren't that many humans who are likely to show concern for immortal who is playing with them. Her husband was very exceptional in this ; even more than Sarah, because Pandora already more-or-less wowed to stop playing with Sarah. On the other hand, Sarah's reaction to Pandora was exceptional from start. Pandora is not used to THAT either.
