In the episode in question, Picard even brings up how something as apparently mundane as a bow and arrow would seem magical to someone who had never seen them before. Pretty much anything that is greatly beyond a given person's understanding is effectively magic (or at least wondrous) to them. Well of course arrow is magic. It can fly without flapping wings or any other propulsion. And everybody knows™ that in the absence of an external motive power, all objects (on Earth) would come to rest and that moving objects only continue to move so long as there is a power inducing them to do so. The great Aristotle confirmed it. Who's Newton?
  2. Story Thursday December 29, 2016

Well, Noriko wanted to tell him, but with all that arguing about her going to Europe, there was no correct moment ... ... now, seriously: the major problem with this is that Raven wouldn't lie to Noah about his mother being dead. And from context, Noah is convinced his mother died before he could remember her. So, if Noah's mother is alive, Raven doesn't know. He presumably know if Noriko is alive.

Going faster than cheetahs would be less "faster because catgirl spell" and more simply "faster because Magic speed boosting". 1) I meant faster than proportional cheetahs. 2) With some calculations based on ratio of weight and ratio of size, the highest justifiable speed can easily be higher than cheetahs. 3) Magic doesn't need to explain itself. There already isn't physical reason why cat tails and cat ears should provide ANY speed boost. If magic decides that correct speed because catgirl spell is higher than cheetahs, then it will be. I know of several where someone ELSE would pose as gods (although it was even more common in TOS), but the cast? Can't remember either. Definitely not movie, there wasn't that many TNG movies so we can rule them out one by one: 7, no, 8, no, 9, no, 10, no. Ok, now, let's use google ... Season 3 episode 4, Who Watches the Watchers. While there IS some connection to Insurrection, the society in Insurrection was nowhere near primitive enough to believe TNG cast are gods, they only pretended to be.
  4. But two of the sigils are destroyed and one is damaged! I want a Grrl Power / EGS cross over. Crossover, why not. But I definitely hope we avoid experiments on topic of "they always were in same universe, honest". They certainly weren't. But EGS have multiverse and not only that, it already featured in crossover wars (although nothing was shown in canon).

Might not be actually STEEL cans. Was only described as "cans of cat food".
  6. Story Thursday December 29, 2016

"Think of me as family" ... that reminds me: 7: Naomi Wildman, do you consider me to be family? N: I ... I don't, I mean ... well ... yes. N: Is ... that okay? 7: I have no objection. N: Do you... think of me as family? 7: Yes. His involvement in Damien's creation might not be THAT direct. Noah being part-Uryuom was why we GET that Q & A in first place. Sure, it was talking about Grace, but it was actually explaining how Noah can be part-Uryuom and still have magic. ... true, there will be more to suppress for Grace ... Not necessarily, I mean, sure his "mother" may have been just a DNA donor which would explain him not knowing her, but I don't think he would have had his growth accellerated, unless he was an early attempt at creating Damien where the acceleration didn't work. Or, possibly, only worked partially.

You personify the will of magic too much. It already follows the rules consistently. It has to. Any apparent inconsistence is only due to holes in our knowledge about magic. Just as with the quantum physics. Sure, it's impossible to predict when given unstable atom will decay, but the rules are perfectly consistent.
  8. NP Wednesday December 28, 2016

There, I fixed it for you. That's from our point of view, however. Cat and Rhoda might not like it as much. I meant from their point of view. I mean, they will likely like it a lot, but afterwards ... Will of magic didn't changed his ability. Just made mass-producing those wands bad idea. I was using "magic wands" because "spell catalyst", while more exact term, isn't so obviously magic. But, yes, usual wands include some energy storage, just like Tedd's gauntlet. It's not like watches being proof of concept before moving to wands. Tedd is programming lot of different watches as proof of concept for different spells. The reason he didn't move to wands isn't he needs more testing ; he knows how to make a wand but with ambient magic doesn't need to.
  9. NP Wednesday December 28, 2016

Tedd can confirm this. He started working at TF gun technology and ended up creating magic wands. I wouldn't be surprised if they were even faster. As long as they don't pass a pet shop and catch the scent of catnip. ... yeah, jumping into catnip would be extremely bad idea.
  10. I do not even know what does pointy ears look like in Gooniverse, seeing that Susan's should be Vulcan pointy. I suppose you are joking, as Adrian Raven has pointy ears when not transformed. Also, immortals.
  11. NP Wednesday December 28, 2016

... I'm slightly disappointed my prediction of them running on all four wasn't fulfilled. But them running super fast is also cool. And there is still possibility of them jumping into something later.
  12. Story Wednesday December 14, 2016

Might have to do with the spines, their abillity to roll up into balls, and also run at sonic speed. I saw several hedgehogs. There were not blurry enough to move at sonic speed, and most importantly, I didn't hear the sonic boom when they decided I'm too close. Although maybe they do have genes encoding that ability and that gene just don't express in Europe. They were not blue either.
  13. Apparently, most people engage in bondage, sensation plan and power exchange without realizing they are doing it. Depending on context, some permission might be implied. There are different rules for office and for club/party. I would never be that bold, but I assume it's because I'm shy and bad at reading context and body language, and not because the others are sexual predators.
  14. Story Wednesday December 14, 2016

Considering the genetic engineering involved to get the cross to even be viable, the lifespan could be anywhere from days to a century. I wanted to object that both are mammals, but considering cats have 38 chromosomes and hedgehogs 90 ... not sure what the hedgehog needs those chromosomes for but apparently there is big difference between those two.
  15. Must be shading. Looks that way on small image, but the ears are definitely rounded in bigger version.
  16. Remember those are not Sarah's terms. It was just to make Susan comfortable enough to do anything.
  17. Story Tuesday December 27, 2016

Yeah, but Noah likely doesn't know about that, so he'd be drawing from what he's just heard. Oh. Right. Noah might totally assume this was the reason. He would just be wrong. Grace being GOOD AT MATH is part of her Uryuom heritage. Being good at analyzing physical structure can easily be just as well. And her Uryuom senses may be "technically magic" just as her transforming. Right. Justin may not actually see through the disguise, just guessed correctly based on this trope. And more importantly, wasn't near Noah when he disappeared. She may still recognize him based on body language. Or, well ... she can recognize him as Seyunolu the same way Will & Gill recognized her as Seyunolu. (That likely WAS use of Uryuom senses.)
  18. Story Friday December 23, 2016

I saw it as "If I had known this would traumatize him so much. I wouldn't have wasted all that time trying to get Elliot killed". Doesn't change that he didn't predicted that. Why powerful? The dewitchery diamond still exists. With it's help, the list of people able to recreate lycanthropy includes Tedd and if you count cats, Sarah (she certainly does have the catgirl watches) and Catalina. Of course, lycanthropy done this way would likely not include any bloodlust, rage or other components which would make them dangerous ... She may be less friendly to Helena and Demetrius than to Tedd, Edward and Adrian. Also, Adrian's meeting with Abraham was not really dangerous, because she PREDICTED he wouldn't be seriously hurt, but it sure LOOKED that way ; The "Egg" event might be same, including the self-fullfilling component of "If I threaten Edward, he will be careful enough and not get hurt seriously". The issue with this theory is that the legends are not consistent with definition of aberrations. Vampires MUST consume blood to survive, according to most legends about them. Werewolves don't have such attribute, at least not widely. The Diamond was created to heal a werewolf IIRC, thus lycanthropy predates the Diamond. ... also this. There's no clear evidence that aberrations are needed to create other aberrations - as far as we know, each is self-created. Therefore, extinction is not possible save by extincting every species that can turn themselves into aberrations. We are talking about centuries old Immortal doing it. There may be some way, possibly related to HOW people turn to aberrrations. Or, she can just kill all aberrations and then continue killing everyone who tries while turning into aberration.
  19. Story Wednesday December 14, 2016

If Noriko has a third hedgecat, then it seems likely that they encountered the hedgecat breeder before Noriko finally left Edward. ... If Adrian Raven have Max, it already seem likely that they encountered the hedgecat breeder before Noriko finally left Edward. Manatee is somewhat bigger than cat and living to 60 is not unusual for them. Cats have livespan of 12-18 years. Larger species of hedgehogs usually live 4-7 years but can live up to 16.
  20. Story Tuesday December 27, 2016

That experience didn't helped him avoid the mistake he did with Noriko (whatever it was or whatever he THINK it was). I think it's experience with Noriko which is shaping his teaching more now. She likely WAS able to feel him there anyway. Or might've decided to leave in that direction ... so, showing to Adrian will NOT raise the chance Pandora will notice him. Not the beginning. He only shown to be strange fish three comics later in his second appearance. Agree. Even if his concealing is partially magic (in which case how did Justin get through?) Grace's senses may be immune. Note that she didn't even need her antennae to notice Sam, but she DID had them out with Noah ... Do he even NEED any help? I mean, unblocking the clog can be trivial for someone of his experience, and only thing Noah and Grace could do there would be get hit with some magical backslash ... It's more consistent. Why abandon infinite number of leading zeroes just to keep the last one? (Obviously, to suggest hexadecimal digit written in binary, but why?)

How else than on all four should catgirls run? Seriously. I think next frame will be those two running on all four and/or jumping OVER something. Into even bigger crowd. Not exactly "full" ... yet. Are those the otaku? Hmmm ... the skirt doesn't seem to match ... He would definitely love to see it. It remains uncertain if it would be enough to help him make better watches, but without seeing it first, how could he know?
  22. Then I guess Highlander II also fits? I think that major problem with those two is that the author still thinks it's canon. Just the fan disagree. Considering fanfiction doesn't have being non-canon in definition, if you remove the "someone else than creator", wouldn't the original work itself become fanfiction? I don't think Sarah have fantasies like that. On the other hand, it can be genuine naughty dream of her (no lucid stuff or her spell involved) happening after another Susan's experiment with touching. Or, yes, this can be what Elliot, Ellen or Tedd will imagine if Sarah would mention Susan is testing touching on her. And considering Sarah knows Tedd well, she will likely immediately follow with "not like that!".
  23. Story Friday December 23, 2016

Neither does Pandora. She was so shocked she stopped paying attention which plane she's on. The problem is that Pandora MIGHT've done something like that. Based on how Sister II went, the difference between how the event played with Voltaire and how would Pandora play it could very well be in details too small to be mentioned to Adrian (although we saw some of them). Considering he didn't predicted how much would Tedd be traumatized by finding out about Will of Magic, I think this is in the "hey, if I knew this would happen I would totally help it happening" category. As far as we know, werewolves are NOT aberrations. And yes totally, if Adrian would get killed by the vampires Pandora would raise her credit in immortal community by making aberrations extinct. ... that wouldn't really help Sarah so much. I don't think she would reset before the "hell". She's likely to at least make sure the clog is unblocked. ... part 47 will be especially interesting. It will definitely involve Susan. I am not at all certain that les immortels were forcibly reset. Susan, Grace, and Sarah happened upon Jerry as he was preparing to die, but the encounter was not a significant expenditure of time or magic on Jerry's part so his reset could continue effectively uninterrupted. Helena and Demetrius awakened Nanase, marked Susan, and trained them to use the hammers. That seems like it would have a greater cost in magic, time, and effort. If they interrupted the reset too close to a critical point in the dying process, it could seriously complicate the process. I don't think they were in the process of dying when they marked Susan. Also, Jerry was ready to mark Sarah, and it would presumably not interrupt his dying. No. I think they were forcibly reset. I, however, don't think it was because they broke the law. I think it was result of some attack, possibly by Voltaire or Pandora.
  24. Story Wednesday December 14, 2016

Two explanation quotes... ... yes, the first one is mine To clarify: If Jeremy and Max are two from small number of hedgecats created in the same lab as Grace, it would be very unlikely Max will get to Adrian Raven, as it would require basically those two running into each other randomly. Adrian's chance to meet hedgecat rises sharply if the number of hedgecats is much bigger, which would however suggest Max is NOT directly from the lab, but likely second (or third) generation. Or, they may be from some earlier case as I suggested ... if which case is possible that Adrian and Edward were working at it together and each took one hedgecat. ... hmmm ... Noriko might have third hedgecat ...
