Am I the only one that's noticed that one of the crates (panel 4 of Wednesday's comic) is broken? Is that supposed to be the crate the diamond was in, or another one?

Umm did your enter key get jammed there? Iiiiittttt's a possibility. The Pineapple Express has arrived, it's cold and rainy, and I'm wearing two jackets. Significant sleeve volume. I use a keyboard with a full numeric pad and I sometimes catch the second Enter key with my sleeve when I'm using the mouse.

I feel like its more like Jenga and Magus' pile of pieces is about to topple over.

If you're suggesting that Magus in trying to "fix" our Ellen and "fixes" Ashley instead, that's a thought I was going to post on when I went back to this forum and spotted your post. I was thinking about Ashley becoming, well, male Ashley, but Ashley becoming what would look like another Elliot would be even more awkward and would also fit the "Ellens and Elliots" chapter title even better. Not that I think Ashley wouldn't be interested in being transformed and gender-switched, because she's... well, she's Ashley. Or he's Ashley.

No one is standing in any window you can see in this comic. What are you getting at?

In the last panel, Magus has the arms folded, eyes shut pose you've all seen your mom use when she ends an argument with "Because!"

Yes, Commander Jaguar and his Howling Commandos. Dan should at least do a Sketchbook or a Patreon Pinup of the Jagman. Or woman--body armor can hide a lot.

Maybe not. Magus was effectively invisible to most humans. I say "most" because Nanase seemed to sense his presence once in Sister II. So Magus could have witnessed almost anything Dan wants him to provided Elliot wasn't close by. I wonder where "government goons" came from. The only "government goons" we know Magus ever observed were Edward, Wolf, and Cranium. Anyway, Magus never slept (although I guess he does need to sleep now that he's got a body again), so filling up time should have been a big deal for him. Dan should do some NPs on things Magus observed in his off time, or things he might have seen. Things like, say, Tony still sleeping with his teddy bear? The long affair Mrs. Verrucht has had with the artist who paints all those ridiculously expensive murals at MNHS?

Remember all those crystal fragments flying everywhere? Remember how much trouble recovering fragments of another shattered crystal was in Inu Yasha?

I think what Ashley would be doing is either checking to see if she can help Ellen or looking out the window to see if Elliot is all right. Rummaging through crates is lower on the list of priorities.

Magus seems to be on the ground in Panel 4, but there's nothing distinct to show it is really just the parking lot pavement like a stripe or crack. What made me pick on that nit is Panel 5. Is Magus standing on the ground? Or floating in the air?

Yes, Elliot does, but he also looked a bit busty when he transformed into "Sarah" for Sarah. Much worse results there than when he transformed into "sort of like" Ashley last week at the mall. Kind of think both the male and female sides of Elliot favor busty, although Elliot's Busty/Not Busty ratio for actual girlfriends is only .500 so far.

Or maybe it's Elliot that looks like Ellen, considering the current Elliots-to-Ellens index.

A good thought, but what I actually meant was that Elliot was and possibly still is such so full of femininity that he was and maybe still is going to blow up if he doesn't free it. Or something like that. Maybe he's due to start bursting out with Ell-fairies...

Perhaps the reason our Elliot is what he is is because he's linked somehow to all the other Ells, most of them female. No wonder he still has such a strong female side even after spinning off our totally-female Ellen. Before that, and even now, our Elliot could be more of a woman than one woman can contain.

My guess about what Dan really intended Magus' "...Wa...OOF~*!" to convey is that: Magus saw Elliot transform, which interrupted what Magus was about to finish saying (first ellipsis) Magus started to say "Wait!" but Elliot was there before Magus could finish. The last part I'm not sure about. The simple version is that Magus is in pain (OOF) and makes a small curse (). However, "OOF" is ridiculously restrained even for the camp 1960s Adam West Batman, and "~*!" isn't even half of a Beetle Bailey Milspec-grade obscenity. So maybe this is really a compressed and censored version of "Oooooooooooooh FUUUUUUUUU__!" That Elliot would act like this is completely in-character. Elliot became Tedd's friend and lost Tony's friendship by defending someone he didn't even know ("Leave her alone!"). Elliot took on the Goo with a plastic fork. Elliot shielded Justin and then Melissa from fireballs with his/her own body. Elliot punched Abraham's bloodgrem hard enough to unsummon it to protect Tony. To Ashley at the mall: "Get behind me!"

A nit to pick: Super Elliot is wearing a costume. He wasn't wearing gauntlets and boots. It's mostly like the Uryuom suit Grace uses, but the pattern of the upper part sort of matches the jacket Elliot was wearing before transforming. Also, not a mere "plus". The word you are looking for is "AWESOME!"

Elliot's mom will approve, especially about the pants. And I really hope we get to see Mrs. Dunkel lecturing Magus later. Well, now it's in canon that Magus knew about Cheerleadra, although when he got to know might be important later. But Magus hasn't learned that much about Elliot; Magus seems to have thought of Elliot as a weaker, misguided version of himself. Since Magus hasn't been able to observe Elliot directly very much thanks to Helen and Demetrius, I'll give him a partial pass on that lapse.

Balletmage. Or maybe soccermage. The reason is that all the Ells are hot.

Ashley might become a balletmage someday, but I think you had something else in mind. I think the sparring match was likely Magus trying to prove to himself that he hadn't made a mistake and that Terra is the stronger mage. Why else would he be using a potion? That's always sounded like a cheat to me. However, you did not guess the reason I had in mind in my last post which, I repeat, has nothing to do with magic, ballet or battle.

I'm guessing that most of the boys and all of the girls told her she was making a big mistake. I think you can figure out a reason that has nothing to do with magic.
