  1. Remember to mention that he apparently goes "quack quack quack" and flies south for the winter.
  2. ... ...this was Dr. Do not want from UT? Remind me to never go near the place if I ever have pain troubles.
  3. Trail Camera and Other Nature Images

Not to worry. As long as she is happy with the camera, all is well. Concentrate on getting your life to work and on getting better.
  4. Story, Monday June 19, 2017

I think that the last panel in today's comic is somehow both the most heartwarming and the saddest thing I have seen all month. Box has kept the world at arm's length for such a long time. I don't think she has even allowed herself any sort of friend since she lost Blaike. Or realised that she might need one. *sigh*
  5. What Are You Ingesting?

We do. They are called Army cafeterias.
  6. Things You Only Noticed On Reread

Oooh the temptation. If I couldn't actually release them, I would look into having them 'accidentally' leaked on the Internet instead. Good music should be heard and profiteering record management people should be given razzberries.
  7. Eep. That sounds scary. The last time I tried anything like that I was still in the Home Guard. 24 hours of constant exertion with no sleep or food had taken its toll and suddenly I was on the ground with no memories of how I'd ended up there. o.O
  8. What Are You Ingesting?

Yes. It is. Very much so. There was a reason for the media storm Danish Crown was desperately trying to weather at the time. And my suggestion for a new name was by no means the only comment or suggestion they received. Many of them had to do with exactly which orifice they could shove the meat they tried to sell into, and how hard.
  9. Things You Only Noticed On Reread

Not even if it is an artist?
  10. What Are You Ingesting?

Unfortunately I do understand you. Danish Crown was caught selling meat they had had in their freezers for YEARS. Stein's Labs (our food quality control) was not pleased. The customers tricked into buying it neither.
  11. You have my sympathies and best wishes, as always. I hope things will steady down soon.

That depends! Remember, any sufficiently analyzed magic is indistinguishable from SCIENCE!
  13. What Are You Ingesting?

This is why I suggested to Danish Crown that they change their name to Danish Meat Antiquities.
  14. Things that make you go WTF

Agreed. Please extend to Mrs. Prof my belated thanks for her father fighting for my family's home and freedom.
  15. Things You Only Noticed On Reread

This kinda sorta happened in Denmark, too, if more recently. We had a whiskey distillery with an appallingly stupid fire safety mechanism. If it even suspected there was a fire, it reacted by dumping all the whiskey in the building into the stream next to it -- some 125.000 gallons of raw rye whiskey. After this had happened twice in three months due to dusty old and rotting wiring sparking, the place was shut down and the owners told to get a system that made sense or stay closed.
  16. Library of Congress Webcomic Web Archive

No. I figure he is busy. I wrote it purely as a heads up, I do not expect him to answer, really.
  17. The best part of that sounded like the hamburger. At least the podiatrist sounds like he still has his head screwed on straight.
  18. Things that make you go WTF

In your case that would be 5020 years?
  19. Beware of the Curse of the Smartphone. I had an old-style cell phone back from when Nokia was all the rage (and got a stupid Sony because I loathed Nokia and their design passionately.) I owned it for seven years, using it only intermittently and for rare emergencies. Then one day I was finally tempted into buying a smartphone. The damned thing all but took over my life on the spot. It was endlessly practical, SO much easier to use, and I kept finding functions I wondered how I had ever managed to live without. As an example, I once sat waiting in an office bored out of my mind. Then I saw it had a Kindle app. A minute later I had downloaded a book from my existing collection I hadn't read yet and sat happily reading. These days I never leave home without my phone. In the old days I would often forget or even deliberately leave behind my dumbass-phone. And it does have its darker sides. Someone with hacking ability could in theory track you everywhere you go with it. Or you could plain just get too dependent on the damned thing. This last may already have happened to me... :/ Dost thou even lyft?

All I can think of to find out is to write Dan and ask. I'll do so myself. ETA: Which is now done.
  21. Story Wednesday June 14, 2017

Come visit my Monster Hunter Kickstarter! Help me reach my goal of 250.000 magical energy units. Regular monsters, then stretch goals of vampires at 300.000, werewolves at 350.000, diamond-created curse beasts at 400.000, demons at 450.000 and dragons at 500.000! If we reach 600.000 we may add the stretch goals of sociopathic lab monsters with Messianic complexes and Evil Overlords.
  22. Story Wednesday June 14, 2017

Eh, if it is just power, Nanase's grandmother might just be a by-blow of the late Emperor Arihito. ...okay, it was the other half of the world where magic followed noble bloodlines/conferred nobility on the bloodlines it followed.
  23. Well duh, you're from the family that thought a throne mounted on a massive sphinx on wheels pulled by captured princes and kings was a reasonable way of getting around. Of course you'd like SUVs.
  24. Things That Are Just Annoying

Surely. Just stick an obelisk in each ear and you're set. Or maybe Set. I might have read The Book of Coming Forth by Day wrong.
