You underestimate the Danish Government's amazing ability to mismanage anything at all.
-
Thanks, it's about time. Let me power up my PANTARDIS and go get it. *checks on the diamond in the central unit, then climbs into modified Panther tank and closes the hatch with a slam, whereupon the whole thing disappears in a flash*

Have you heard of the wonderful wizard, the wonderful Wizard of Oz? For he is a wonderful wizard if ever a wizard there was...
-
Pffft. If we had them here in Denmark, our government would cut so much back on them that you would have to wait like at least twenty to twenty five minutes for each, and when they finally appeared, three would come.

Errrr... the presumed plan. Yes, this is not impossible and is in fact my own hypothesis. But I am not so much in love with it that I won't consider the possibility that I am wrong and that something else will happen.

Spoilsport.
-
The biggest problem with this hypothesis is that no-one is trying to save the whales.

The Moderator: The use of the word 'superfluous' in this context is more than a little rude, I fear. The theory in question may be speculation but that does not mean that the speculation is not on topic or unwelcome. "I do not agree with you" would be blunt but far less rude. Or just "it is possible but not necessarily so." ~tOH.

Has anyone seen my polonium? I swear I had it a minute ago.

Were they playing the Unicorns? If so, it's really rather reasonable if they finally got a shot at the crown.

I remember once playing a game of World in Flames (tabletop WWII game) where the weather report for North Russia was Severe Winter. This means so intense freezing and so much snow that headquarters/supply units are immobilised and so all advances are brought to a grinding halt. An absolutely critical headquarters unit was affected by this. Until the end of that turn where we discovered that it was just exactly south of the line marking the border between North Russia and Mid Russia. It was really only in a region of normal winter where it could advance, just not as fast as normally. We decided that someone just north of them had called in their weather report and they had thought, "blow that for a game of soldiers." Then they just tucked themselves into warm blankets and shared rum toddies while the gentle snow flurries around them not as much raged as they just quietly fell in a state of mild vexation.

Changing Medications (Level of Trust Required)
The Old Hack replied to ProfessorTomoe's topic in Off Topic Discussion
Oof. Hope it is nothing too serious. As always, take good care of yourself. Oh, and Pharaoh, no bloody Get-Better-Hippopotami this time. The last time did not end well. -
It's like the EGS: NP strip, only on a larger scale. The story has been setting things up for quite a while. This means we are still in the lowjinks phase.
-
Pharaoh, this is all your fault. I blame you entirely.

Changing Medications (Level of Trust Required)

Agreed. This sounds really unpleasant. Get better soon. -
And here I thought I knew Jack. Turns out I don't even know that.

Tonight's prize is... A BLOW ON THE HEAD!

Ensign! Activate the sashimi shields!

Great. Just great. Now I am going to lie sleepless wondering what the morph the plot in Ranma 1/4 is. Maybe it includes hermaphrodite and agender.
-
Well, I suppose. I've eaten at a Popeye's but never tried any Bluto's.
-
Definitely not good. Take good care of yourself. Keep hydrated, try to avoid sugar crashes. I am not sure what else to do, only that you need as few extra stressors as possible and that low blood sugar never seems to help. And keep us posted, please?

*stomps over to /me* *grabs list* *adds the Prof and the Pharaoh to it, makes some notes, concludes with "with extreme prejudice"* *returns list to /me*

Conversely, you might be the very best person to judge. Some amount of empathy and understanding is in my opinion an integral part of making fair judgments. Without understanding the impetus behind an individual's actions, any judgment becomes problematic at best. Personally, I would trust your judgment in this more than that of most others. Yes, it may be flawed. But I would prefer to have judgment weighted in favour of compassion rather than devoid of it.

Look, you're the expert here. Don't tell me that every single God-King in your line were playing with a full deck. Just look into your family relations and you should have a good baseline for what might happen.

That's not good. A good sole shouldn't leave you flat footed.
