  2. Things that make you MAD

Believe it or not, we nearly had a repeat of my previous story. I woke up from a nap at about 6:00 p.m. to find that our phone, TV, and internet were all out. Again. A 90-minute cell phone call with a near-totally unintelligible person was required to get my service restored. I personally hate Frontier Communications. Your mileage may vary.

What tOH said. ^^^ BTW, could be worse—could be Pasadena (former resident myself).

As beautiful as this is, something tells me that Catalina wouldn't be caught dead in a wedding gown. She'd wear a tuxedo.
  6. What Are You Ingesting?

Two Fiber One salted caramel cheesecake bars.
  7. What Are You Watching?

Nothing. I turned off the TV and went to sleep. I normally sleep with the TV on for background noise. Couldn't stand that tonight after what I've been through. Still keep waking up every two hours, though.
  8. Things You Find Amusing

When Mrs. Prof and I were dating in college, back in '81 or '82, she stumbled in a way that made both of us laugh every time it's brought up. The two of us were walking through her co-op's parking lot when she caught her foot on something and fell. I was scared to death for her, but she didn't have a scratch on her. Neither of us knew what she caught her foot on that caused her to fall, but then we both realized how she fell. She went from vertical to horizontal in one movement. Didn't put out her hands to stop, didn't try and roll, nothing—she just froze and fell like a tree in the forest. We both laughed loud and long over it, and we laugh about it whenever we tell the story to this day.
  9. The Weather.

Sorry to hear about the flooding. It's not an easy thing to fix—I know from having a toilet overflow and flood enough of the floor that they had to replace the laminate through the whole house. Get ready for some VERY noisy fans. I hope your circuit breaker box can handle their load.
  10. Changing Medications (Level of Trust Required)

Thank you. I appreciate the support. I really do.
  11. Changing Medications (Level of Trust Required)

None of my medicines are working properly at the moment. I'm not sure if that's an accurate statement. Let's just say that external circumstances are causing them to be taxed to their maximum. I would normally put off my "midday" doses until around 2pm, but I'm going ahead and taking them now. I need them to kick in as quickly as possible. God, I hate this. (hits mute button for TV—I'll be damned if I'm listening to political news coverage considering how I feel right now) I can't even talk about what's set me off. This is painful.
  12. What Are You Doing Right Now?

Waiting to see whether or not someone is going to try and seriously screw me over.
  13. Story: Monday April 18, 2016

Maybe he got the bisected circle one, which allows him to have Agent Cranium's power to see what's on the other side of walls. Perhaps?

Exactly. How chummy-chummy are Abner and Voltaire, and how did they get that way? Did Voltaire give Abner one of the Symbols On The Back that haven't all been accounted for yet? Which one?

  20. Things that make you worried.

I'm mainly worried about the EGS Off-Topic forum. It's been a source of fun and a stress reliever for many years now. It seems to be going dark, taking the last couple of weeks into account.
  21. Things that make you worried.

The lack of use of this forum. Please don't let it die.
