      Welcome!   03/05/2016

Welcome, everyone, to the new 910CMX Community Forums. I'm still working on getting them running, so things may change.  If you're a 910 Comic creator and need your forum recreated, let me know and I'll get on it right away.  I'll do my best to make this new place as fun as the last one!

  1. Panel-By-Panel Analysis!

Panel 1-2: One-sided conversations are always awkward.

Panel 3-4: Always difficult asking your girlfriend to hang up.

Panel 5: That "Yes" isn't grayed. Diane? Rhea?

Panel 6: Thanks are indeed in order.

Panel 7: Yeah, what was that guy's deal, anyway?

    Commentary:

    1. Possibly summons.
    2. Fictish. It's the accent they pick up in Fictionland.
    3. ...actually, I take it back. He had a false belly and that's where he kept his stuff.
    4. Custom made. The tailor mysteriously disappeared after making it.
    5. I'd guess sunglasses.
    6. ...alrighty then.

Yup, a bridge towards the meat of the oncoming conversation. About the only thing bugging me is the lines for the hip in panel 2 (can't unsee it!).

As an aside: I go dark for so long, the forum itself changes.

    Welcome back, then.

  2. Panel-By-Panel Analysis! Been a while since I did this. First time doing this for an NP comic too. Anyway, let's get to it.

Panel 1: Video games! The perfect timewaster! Co-op games are always better if you have someone to play 'em with. Also Grace is still topless.

Panel 2: Grace don't care. Tedd's dad is home, though.

Panel 3: Suddenly clothed! Grace may not care, but Mr. Verres clearly does and has said as much in such a way as to warrant this reaction from Grace.

Commentary: I dunno, Dan. You went to all the trouble of discussing illusions and then basically ignored them. As a result we missed out on a million opportunities to have Susan's face with Grace's expressions. ...I need to get that slay back up now that I think about it.

  3. Well we're gonna have hamburgers and bacon and waffle fries, so I went to Walgreens to get hamburger buns. Turns out Hostess is making bread products now. That was all they had for buns so I bought a pack of 8 and went home.

Turns out? Moldy. Not even an hour after purchase, and it's well past consumable. And the expiration date's still two weeks away.

So. Don't buy Hostess bread products, is what I took away from this.

  4. Peanut butter m&ms are best m&ms. (unless you're allergic to peanuts)

We're gonna have shrimp alfredo for dinner, and if we decide to watch a movie afterwards, we might have a bowl of mixed m&ms as a snack (peanut, peanut butter, and plain).

    ...What? There was a sale.

  5. Panel 1: Avatar State! Yip yip! Also, griffon fangirls for the win.

Panel 3: Humans where she's from? ...hey, maybe she's from Magus's home universe. There's a theory.

Panel 4-5: "And thirdly... The laws of physics is more what you'd call "guidelines" than actual rules."

Panel 7: It's okay, Ashley. You're allowed to geek out. Get it out of your system now before it becomes routine.

Commentary: I think we've all had a moment where we've used the wrong word and hoped nobody in the constipation noticed.

  6. Back before the Crash (yes, we're calling it the Crash, it's canon now, deal with it), we had threads for "What are you listening to?", "What are you watching?", "What are you reading / eating / drinking / breathing…" and just one like "What are you right now?" which I think was supposed to be the generic one.

But we didn't have one for what we were doing at the moment. Any sort of activity. Some big work project, college assignment, fan projects of yours, packing for a trip, whatever. If you're doing an activity and feel like taking a minute to tell the Internet, well, here ya go.

And no, "typing on this forum" or "your girlfriend" and the like don't count. Don't be one of those guys. Also "playing video games" probably goes in the video games thread. "Reading", "Watching X", "Reading X", "Eating", and the like should get their threads back up and running too.

Anywho, out of boredom I dusted off my old Pokémon Phylogeny project, trying to sort Pokémon into a comprehensive phylogenetic tree while remaining accurate to the real-world one as best as possible. My latest hold up had been Talonflame (which I'm classifying as a peregrine falcon), because the lab boys looked over the tree for birds and thought "We can do better" and now I have to start all over again. Stupid birds. Well I guess it's a good thing to look over what I've already done and check for errors, but it's still frustrating.

  7. I remember falling way behind on the NP count too. I think I stopped in August and laziness kept me from going back. I hate being lazy, but I'm too lazy to do anything about it.

Anyway, lemme get caught up and I'll try and pick up where I left off. I don't have anything as elegant as an Excel document, but I kept all my notes.

  8. I currently have "Butter Building" from Kirby's Adventure stuck in my head.

Actually, scratch that. It's "Megalovania" from Undertale. Again. It's been stuck there for like two weeks. Butter Building got rid of it for a bit, but I had to open the link in order to put it in this post, and the music started. And it's good music, so it's not like I'm not gonna listen. There are worse songs to be stuck with.
