I've got the Game's Workshop's Legiones Imperiales box set now.  Reading the rules and have dug out my old epic models.  The rule book  is hard back and 240 pages long.

I like many of their scultps, but good Lord, they've gotten expensive. I feel like there is more gouge than substance in GW.

For me, no one I know of plays wargames any more. Eurogames, which may have some conflict, but are multifaceted, have more traction here. Several stores that featured GW games have folded (not all, and we do have a regional GW branded store).

Maybe.  I've got as many Orks as I have Space Marines, so I don't have to find a player that has an epic scaled army.  Of course the current rules are for Horus Heresy time frame so it' marine on marine combat.
