Where in NC does one apply to be a birth certificate verifyer? Sounds like it might be a lucrative job opportunity. -
More lemon/sassafras tea. Trying to get re-hydrated from overnight.

Changing Medications (Level of Trust Required)
ProfessorTomoe replied to ProfessorTomoe's topic in Off Topic Discussion
One other thing I think the medicines are doing to me—giving me "morning shivers." I wake up cold in the morning, no matter what the ambient temperature, just as if I'd been hibernating. It takes me a good 30 minutes to an hour to stop shivering (and, sometimes, to get my teeth to stop chattering). -
One of the kittens we fostered (remember KittenCam?) has grown up to be a very pretty cat under the care of our friends and their daughter. The now-cat looks very much like her mother did, but has substantially more energy (just like her brother from another father, our cat).

Evening news. Reports from Pakistan and Belgium. What's most worrying is the turnout of "right-wing" Belgians to protest things in general, despite the official cancellation of the event. There are problem people on both sides, but nothing warrants what's been happening lately.

BTW, I've set up a couple of pages where you can see the local radar with just a click. Go here to see the one for DFW proper.

Changing Medications (Level of Trust Required)
ProfessorTomoe replied to ProfessorTomoe's topic in Off Topic Discussion
Agreed! I just wish the medicines I'm on would stop giving me strange, vivid dreams. I mean, the Cymbalta gave me weird dreams, but they've gotten worse since switching from it a year and a few months back. I have a feeling they're responsible for my inability to sleep through the night, but there's no way I could ever prove that. I doubt that it'd show up on a sleep study. -
When I was working overnight doing radio traffic reports, we would use Vegemite as sort of an initiation rite for new employees. Toast up some bread, put butter on it, and spread Vegemite very thinly over it. Everyone passed, with varying results (and varying amounts of anxiety pre-challenge). I still have a tube of it in the fridge. Aussie Rules Football is on FS2. I wonder if it'd go good on pizza ...

Status quo on the Brintellix, but with one possible side effect: my appetite has decreased. Sure, I'll eat if you put food in front of me, but I'm not feeling the urge to prowl the kitchen as much as usual. I'll take that as a good sign. -

Thanks! BTW, I'm waking up from a nap taken after a morning composing/mixing session. Had a package left at my front door from the Aussie Products web store. I now own the last packet of Continental Rich Beefy Mince to be purchased in the United States, as it's gone out of production (I'd ordered two and only got one.) Got some Manuka honey, too. Good stuff.

Trying to wind down after having written music all day long. I've been busy, and I've also been wearing myself out. Creativity does that to you.

I have been reading a bunch of manuals for Native Instruments synth and FX plug-ins. Yesterday was quite the learning experience, both book-wise and music-wise.
