Given how dark the hair appears on the part of her head where it is close-cropped, it looks as though she has darker roots, which would imply either that she bleaches her hair, or else magical/burnout-related hair color alteration.

Agreed. An AI should not be permitted to designate and engage targets without a human confirming the correctness of the targets. -

And that is why the Tenth and Eleventh Doctors believed in having your running shoes on BEFORE you find out that you need to run. -
One of the most common sources of trauma is witnessing someone else being brutalized and being unable to help them, so I would say that such people were traumatized specifically because they did experience empathy.

If you look at the old Pantheons, it appears that, 3000+ years ago, some Immortals posed as gods, literally “playing god” with mortals. When that went bad (a possible cause of the Bronze Age Collapse), the Immortals swore that they would never repeat the mistake of trying to rule over mortals.

They can’t lift the ban posthumously in order to nominate him to the Hall of Fame?

Aberrations happen when a mage decides that it is worth killing people to steal their vitality.

Civ5 and later allow only one combat unit and one noncombat unit per tile, which ends the strategy of putting a high-melee-defense unit on a tile to protect your ranged units there. Instead, you have to engage in defense in depth, interposing your defenders between potential attackers and whatever you are protecting. The biggest changes in Civ6 included: Districts that you must build, taking up a map tile for the city, before you can build specialist buildings (e.g. an industrial district before you can build factories) Civics/government is now a full tech tree of its own, earned with Culture points as compared to the research points for science. Bonus/penalty for each new Age (Classical, Medieval, Industrial, etc.) based on your performance in the preceding Age. -
True, but Hope would still want to help Jay to heal, much like how Jerry felt that he needed to help Susan after hearing about how Helena and Demetrius had exploited her and made her face the vampire with very little preparation.
-
The most healthy reaction that we are likely to get from Hope is “OMG I owe her big time!”

I still think that being the grandchild of a Seer meant that Jill was at least a potential wizard, even though the nature of Seer-related magic means that Pandora would not have been able to sense it.
-
“Without special talent”, and “Awakening her should have been impossible”? She is the granddaughter of a Seer and a potential Wizard herself—and Seer-related power is invisible to Immortals and Wizards most of the time.
-
Yeah, this is going for instinctive reaction here. Real practical use for a land predator would have the four-way fangs like a big-cat species.
-
Oh, the human mage probably thinks along those lines, yes. But I was thinking about the Immortal who empowered him.
-
I suspect that the guy who is attacking Jill is being backed up by Voltaire or someone with similar goals and mindset. He would know that Arthur is a magically-active Seer, and doing this to Arthur’s own granddaughter could make Arthur inclined to want Magic to be reset so that such attacks would be less common for a couple of generations.

And the very fact that so many native Japanese are against having a stronger military is evidence that the risk of revenge-fueled aggression has mostly abated. -

A large fraction of them know that he is lying, and consider it to be irrelevant. They only care that he is hurting their enemies. -

The whole motivation for preventing Japan from having offensive military capability was to prevent them from doing what Germany had done in the 1930s and building a huge war machine for revenge. Now that all of the leaders from the war have died of old age, and the current leaders and public of Japan seem uninterested in having a massive war, those concerns are far less urgent than being able to defend if China decides to declare war. -
Unfortunately, she did not, but I do believe that Diane has been informed that Pandora was the one behind most of the Magic Markings happening locally, so she could make that mental leap if Rhoda mentions being marked by an Immortal.

If the person being hurt by the nightmare attack is Young Jay, then giving her a dream-based spell in order to fight it off would be empowering her.

A Flying Sorcerer?
-
I think that it is meant to represent her taking a metaphorical step toward maturity by overcoming the “ghost” of her past self.
