NP Comic for Tuesday, Jan 7, 2025 This Bishop is manipulative, but not as nasty as the Disney stepmom. Re: Commentary, in every version of Cinderella I can recall seeing, the father died. I would also presume Tedd had a room and a bed before the ladies arrived, and still has it.

NP Comic for Thursday, Jan 2, 2025 First and second panel, she's not wrong. (That is something less than correct, in this case tends toward uncharitable.) Third panel explains it all. She's part Klingon. Also, she looks at Tedd as someone she could use, an object. This version of Cinderella posits a stepmother whose outlook on the individual, her lack of respect, is a good portion of her problem. She is not nurturing, but nor is she as odious as the Disney version.

Comic for Monday, Dec 16, 2024 An interestingly weird comic. It's essentially about nothing of import, and manages to establish a relationship between Tedd and Jay. And then there's Tensaided's aside tossed in, which seems to foreshadow . . . something?

Comic for Monday, Nov 4, 2024 For a comic that is mostly a posting of coming matches, this comic has a lot of activity. Jay backpedals a bit on her marriage proposal, I guess realizing what she said. Susan has no time to respond. (I think the ship still has structural integrity.) Sam seems nervous to be paired with George, fearing that George will notice his actual sex change. Susan, paired with Larry, is distracted. By thoughts of Jay? They left a lot hanging. Sarah and Hope are happy to be hanging out. Jay and Tedd are nervous to be hanging out. And the chapter ends, to be resumed midweek, next week. I hope the pace keeps up.

NP Comic for Tuesday, Oct 29, 2024 Dan has injected himself into his character's world; it appears they can do likewise. Tedd is the cat girl Dan wants to be. This might be the most meta of Dan's comics.

Comic for Friday, Aug 23, 2024 Tedd analyzes and recaps recent comics. Jay seems to have a bit more temper than most of the cast, but not greatly so; she's not a hothead. We've seen a few outbursts from others. She may be less in control of her power, hence the lighting effect. Why does she know about Tedd? Did she overhear Arthur discussing Tedd?

Comic for Wednesday, Aug 21, 2024 I like this aspect of Jay. She has a spine. She seems more principled in this game arc than she's seemed in the past, and less dismissive. Dan's concept for her has changed? AJ is a shallow A-hole, bluster without substance, and no spine when he is found out. I wonder what Tedd is thinking. He knows Jay has magic now. That should lead to at least the conversation that Jay wants.

Comic for Monday, Jul 22, 2024 I like this quick summary that moves the story forward. The detailed games in the earlier arcs made sense, there was character building as well. At this point, it seems little would be added by detailing each game. That said, I am curious how Susan's deck operates. And Guy's, even though he's barely a character. Sarah would be able to run better if her mammaries were canine rather than human. Beats boobs on a reptile, though. Or a bird. I'm looking at you Howard, with your Playduck magazine. We have yet to see Hope playing.

Have we determined if this tournament is before or after Rich's RPG with Ellen et al? That will make a big difference in how he treats Susan. Can I trust my memory? The last time Rich encountered Susan was with Larry in Salty Crackers where they were severely hammered, by Catalina with a plastique replica of Mjölnir.

Comic for Monday, Jul 1, 2024 VS list with some mental images. Tensaided looks fierce, Tedd looks apprehensive. Susan and Rich both look freaked out. I think George is getting ready to stomp AJ. Hope still looks worried and withdrawn. She needs to pull Sarah aside and talk to her.

Comic for Monday, Jun 24, 2024 So caught up in the details, Tedd does not appear to be aware that AJ is cheating. I don't get the reference to 'gibberish' - perhaps it was a planned scene that Dan decided to eliminate? That whole panel with the cards seems superfluous. At least Tedd is now aware of what is going on. Next up, how Hope will resolve it?

I wonder if Tedd can tell exactly what the spell does? And what can Tedd do with that info? I mean, he could tell Justin, but I assume Justin can't just arbitrarily kick someone out of the tournament, and it would be pretty hard to prove AJ is cheating without getting into the existence of magic. Also, kicking AJ out of this tournament wouldn't prevent him from doing the same or worse at some point in the future.

Slightly off topic, perhaps it is time for Ted et al to create a code of ethics regarding independent magic research There needs to be a way of helping a novice magic user come to terms with their abilities that falls some where in between fending for yourself and turning you in to the nearest shadow government agency

https://www.egscomics.com/comic/hope-054 Space for spoilers: I wonder how much Tedd can tell about Sam's magic. I also wonder what Tedd plans on doing with that knowledge. On the one hand he probably can't just keep the knowledge to himself given Sam is dating Sarah who is Tedd's friend; on the other hand if Tedd knows Sam has a sex-change enchantment, sharing that info would be revealing things about Sam that Sam doesn't want shared. I just really hope if Tedd talks to Sam about it, Tedd doesn't say anything offensive (particularly unintentionally); this is a sensitive subject and I could see Tedd jumping in without thinking things through.
